Thank you for recording and posting this. I attended Glide Memorial Methodist Church from 1983 through 1988 and I miss it. I have yet to find another church like it so I was elated to stumble across these wonderful video.
She was one of the greatest person that ever existed. Truly miss her. She was so down to earth. God bless her for leaving all her informative life spirituality behind.
I was there at Glide listening to Ms. Maya, who inspired me to have this song sung at my son's Christening ~ Thank you Ms. Maya for all the lives you have touched and continue to from the other side ~ We will Shine!
I still can not believe she is gone. Knowing she was out there in the world always made me feel better. When she died, something so personal for me died and I cried for a week. I felt that the world, somehow was less safe. But then, I took solace in knowing that her words & lessons will always be there. She has not really gone. She's still here. Thank God we had her.

What a wonderful woman. We spoke many years ago. She put her hands on my cheek as I was tearful when she signed her book for me. She gave me the permission to cry. I thank her as I do today because her ‘light’ guided me at that precious moment. Sweet rest, my Elder.
