You know @RuslanKD, I’ve looked at it for a long time and from what I see, the 2 most polar opposite words in the history of words are conservative Christian. Those two words just don’t go together. Jesus was many things but conservative was not one of them. So how can someone claim Christian and the vote conservative? Hypocrites?

The pure nature of the gospel is offensive...... The problems with this " Christian Culture Crisis" at the moment is impart a making of our own weakness and laziness toward the gospel, and how we actually work it out day-to-day. There's a reason why there are many many Apologetic pastors online.Because only a small few Christians actually know how to articulate the word accurately and convincingly. I think that most Christians would rather have someone else bring the flock to the fold. There is absolutely a way to bring people to Christ with Sound doctrine Love, Grace and Humility. We just need to learn how to use it.. My mind goes to Pastor Mike Gendron. Time is short by Rapture, or our own nature Death.

It is telling that when Locke was confronted by Brown, whom he said was one of his "mentors" of sorts, was immediately defensive and assumed that Brown was in the wrong. As a mentee, and following a biblical model of apprenticeship/discipleship, it seems like the best response is to simply listen to the critique and ponder it before making an immediate response. It also shows humility to truly listen to and head the wisdom of the mentor.

I like that the conversation between Dr. Brown and Pastor Greg Locke was respectful. The reason the deliverance stuff didn't make TV or anything is he doesn't want to film the deliverance services, he doesn't want to sensationalize it. I watch Pastor Greg Locke's services, and yes he is VERY straight forward when he makes those statements, and yes by watching some his services will make it easier to understand where his coming from. Context does 100% matter with his statements(and he uses the bible as much as possible). And he doesn't always yell and jump and tap his mic on the pulpit, but that is really what gets on the news and attracts attention.

This is a very good video. Greg Locke can be a very good Bible teacher. He knows Scripture, he has insight, he studies and he is a good speaker, however, what ever mental illness he has often overshadows this. I discovered him a few years back & I initially thought he had ADHD & the meds associated with that were affecting him. Then he left his wife & the audio of him verbally abusing her came out & I thought maybe he was on meth. Then his affair with his secretary, their marriage & her entering ministry with him just made me sad. His narcissism is over the top, his impulsivity alarming and his false teaching heartbreaking. He is not qualified to be a pastor, period. The Bible sets clear standards for this & he meets none of them. He has hurt so many people over the years & hopefully God will close him down.

He said it out of his own mouth there's evil in both parties, so why condemn one side and not the other. By his own logic, he supports a platform but not necessarily everything in it; why isn't that same grace extended towards others in their decision. We,as Believers, need to stop this condemning people based on a vote and we need to stop trying to infiltrate world standards and things into the defining of someone's salvation. Last I checked Romans 10:9 said that if Thou shalt confess the Lord Jesus with thy mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him up from the dead thou shall be saved. I don't see anything about who one votes for or against qualifies them as saved or unsaved. It's not faith in the donkey or elephant but faith in the Lamb of God or the lack thereof that determines salvation

I have attended Pastor Greg’s church and watch his teachings frequently. Heck, none of are perfect and he certainly has never claimed to be. He spends most of his time preaching line by line in scripture which is never what I see clips that go viral show. The Gospel does stir things up and is countercultural in all parts of life, including religion and politics. Part of why I became a Christian many years ago is the Bible cut through to many of the issues I was struggling with in the church and life. What I appreciate about GVBC is that it has caused me to go to scripture more and not to take anything I hear for granted. I have experienced some major positive changes in my body from the deliverance healing. At home, everyone has noticed how much better I am. And ultimately, my walk with Christ is about Him, not any given person and that is something Greg Locke teaches constantly. If my walk is based on him, I am doing something wrong. To be honest, I am exhausted with the church as a whole. Most of the churches I have attended and the place I worked for are focused more on how things look superficially and with the money and power involved. (I have had church leaders openly admit it to me.) It is about appearing happy even when that is far from the case. Most pastors out there know how to cover up the dirt and make things pretty. The church needs to be doing more to shake up our culture, be real and honest and lead the way. Church attendance has taken a dive and that is because it is no longer about quality relationships and is no longer relevant in our world. There is a huge number of people who are walking around with church hurt and I get how they feel. Church needs to be a place where people see a difference, not more of the same games that people see everywhere else. Heck, even recently, heard a pastor say during a sermon that everyone needs to look happy at church so they can continue to grow in numbers. It’s about changing lives, not just filling seats. I know I will get hate, but as long as I see fruit come in my life from GVBC, that is fine, because my relationship with Christ is growing once again after being stunted for so long.

Thank you for bringing up the confirmed allegations because that is the TRUE problem. Whether his messages are completely Biblically sound or not is essentially a moot point. Unrepentant sin is an automatic disqualification from any teaching. He was indeed unfaithful to his wife (PHYSICAL infidelity hasn't been officially confirmed on the record, but emotional and by communication has been confirmed), divorced her and married his mistress who was his secretary. And, even IF there was no infidelity, no reconciliation was sought with his wife which makes his current marriage unbiblical. And, since he is still unreconciled with his wife and married to this other woman, he remains unrepentant and improperly disciplined (or potentially undisciplined completely) which disqualifies him from leadership. FYI, I live in the town where he and his church reside, so all of this information is coming through firsthand accounts.

Great show. It's Dr. Michael Brown for the win! I didn't expect Pastor Locke to seemingly humble himself at the end. That's a step in the right direction. If all those words of honor were genuine, towards Dr. Brown, then that was an God-ordained verbal SmackDown from one of his Heroes in the faith. How humbling. I feel as though that term controversial has grown to such a broad term, like so many other hot-button words in the American culture. Yes, Christ was controversial, but it was hand-in-hand with him being graceful. The nature of our faith is controversial enough. We can be passionate and be self-controlled with our passions. I think that was the point of that part of the Fruit of the Spirit. By the way, when Dr. Brown spoke about the multiple people that he laid hands on becoming Martyrs for Christ, that just did something to my heart. I think it's so easy for us to get caught up in the day in and day out grind, and whatever is crazy in the news, that we forget there is real persecution going on in the world. I probably feel this way because of things that I'm personally facing and dealing with. I've been seeking the Lord trying to get closer to him, preparing for more Ministry in my life. Yesterday, at Epiphany Brooklyn, Pastor Brandon was preaching from Daniel chapter 12 verses 1 and 2. He shared the following stats: According to Open Doors Ministries: - Persecution against Christians is at an all-time high. - Today over 340 million believers live in places where the experience high levels of persecution. - Last year, over 5,000 Believers were martyred because of their faith in Christ. - Last year, over 4 thousand Christian churches were burned. - Another 4000 Christians we're in prison without trial, because of their faith. Let's pursue Christ, shepherd our homes, serve our churches and neighborhoods, meanwhile remembering those who are in bonds, for claiming allegiance to Christ Jesus. Grace and peace.

Those 2 questions that weren't posed are on point. The answer to question 1 would have direct bearing to the answer of question 2. At the end of the day these perimeters that the Bible sets in place are for our own good and the good of the church. It's not simply about calling somebody out for their dirt, cuz the Lord knows we all have some. It's just incredibly important to examine teachers because of the human propensity to mix in selfish ambition and self-will with teaching, and therefore dilute the gospel.

Honestly apart from speaking about context his defence mechanism is praising Dr.Brown as someone he looked up to. And he seems to be doing that so Dr.Brown doesn't come at him too hard. I honestly think he could just have been like "I can see how in the context of that time how I said what I said could have been mistaken by the ears it fell upon, so I hear what you are saying I should pay more attention to how I say thing esp if I don't mean to incite violence etc" 💁🏽‍♀️idk💁🏽‍♀️

This is the reason why sharing the gospel is ultimately the GREAT COMMISSION,not politics! I know a family member from my husband’s side who ruined his Christian witness on account of being super mean spirited just blasting anyone and everyone who didn’t side with the Republican Party and then played the victim of how persecuted he was for standing for truth when in reality his backlash was due to his arrogant display of defending “republic”more than sharing the gospel. He talked about going to war if it came down to it and he wouldn’t hesitate to use a gun or beat someone up if anything broke out to protect the rights of the republic. Many are unaware that being persecuted for standing up for a certain party means NOTHING TO THE ALMIGHTY! My question to any patriotic overzealous individual democrat or republican is are you willing to stand up for the REAL TRUTH (the gospel)and be persecuted? Don’t rejoice when people oppose you for political differences but rejoice when you are opposed for HIS NAME SAKE! JESUS IS LORD!

Context brother. A Bible believing cessationists does believe in the gifts, just not all of them. They don’t believe individual people have the miraculous gifts, such as speaking in tongue’s, prophecy(telling the future with detail and accuracy) and healing, meaning A person has the gift to heal people with any disease, deformity or sickness. But they do believe in all the administrative gifts. They also believe God can heal people, they just don’t believe a single individual has the gift to heal whoever they want of whatever they have.
@Stangy04

Jesus nor the apostles healed and delivered everyone they came in contact with either. Many cessationist fail to understand the will of God, faith, and the anointing that God gives to an individual after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The church is and has always been, theological, metaphysical, philosophical, political, worshipful, personal, experiential, pastoral, congregational, and sacramental. Yes, *political* . Nonetheless, the church should *never* be violent, hateful, hyper-polemic, and proud. Greg Locke definitely comes off as quite hyper-polemic, proud, and maybe even a bit hateful…. But I think he could improve.

While I can understand Dr. Michael Brown engaging with Greg Locke, the argument can also be made that by doing so he is providing Greg Locke with access to a larger platform than he would otherwise have. Maybe the best way to deal with the Greg Locke's of this world is to ignore them and thus deny the them publicity they crave.

Christians should not be angry at other Christians who want to be gracious while at the same time, not compromise the gospel. It's almost like resenting someone for being good to others. We are all called and compelled to different things but being violent is not one of them. We are in "spiritual" warfare.

I get so tired of people, especially people who profess Christianity, acting like "woke" is a bad word or that "woke" is a bad thing to be. All it means is that you are aware of social and racial injustices and you want to take action to rectify them. If you're anti-woke does that mean that you don't want to be aware of social and racial injustices and that you don't want to do anything to help rectify them? It's really disheartening when I hear people continually using this word as a pejorative.

You should do an update on this video now, Ruslan! I attend Greg Locke‘s church currently. I used to watch him online during the height of his controversial outbursts, they kind of turned me off of his sermons, if I’m being honest. He acknowledges his controversial outbursts and political opinions as mistakes now, and only wants to do what the Lord wants him to do now. He has made an amazing change since discovering deliverance ministry. He often breaks down in tears about how he used to go all crazy and act controversial, I know a lot of people will probably not believe what I’m saying in this comment, and may not take his side, but I used to not like him for those same reasons, and I have seen the man change since then. Praise God for that! He is very insightful and a lot more humble now than he used to be it seems. He is a wonderful mighty man of God, who is now more obedient than he ever has been and I thank God for his church! I also understand a lot of people have already made their minds up. Hopefully this comment doesn’t get too much heat and comes across as it meant to! Big fan of yours, Ruslan! God bless and take care!

It doesn't matter whether your a Democrat or a republican. It doesn't matter if you are an atheist or a fundamentalist. You are on either side of the spectrums extreme. Extreme views make tyranny flourish. They want each side fighting and viewing the opposite side as bad or evil. It creates fighting and division without them having to do anything. We fight and hurt each other while doing their bidding. It would be best to meet in the middle and not have any expectations of how you believe it should be. That leads to force and a want for control over others.
