If you want to play it safe then you have to get the Matador! (The regular one, I even made a video on it). 😉 It is perfect for both short pips and anti keeping high control and good speed.

Hi Onur! For the upcoming season I will continue to play with my usual setup. However, I am trying to learn how to use a fast anti like the ABS 2 PRO because I am getting tired of using a very slow sponge that does not allow me to vary my game. The Matador being slightly less fast on the backhand side is better suited for playing safely with the anti. I am almost sure that the ABS 2 PRO would be unplayable on the Carbonado.

@@AndreaAschi I agree with you Andrea. I actually started playing again with an all wood setup with a regular traditional anti . It takes a while to adjust but have been much more comfortable with this setup for now. At least for my forehand as I was getting tired with the heavier setup and hesitating on my forehand s. The pro version would be too fast for your carbonado. I tried it on my fast setup and it was significantly faster than my regular superglanti ( not the fast version) setup. It a still playable but at a different style which is not block oriented. At the end of the day if you can drive the ball affectively give direction to difficult spots it could be more valuable than the spin it generates in the blocks . As with time the opponents get used to it and know exactly what to do with those blocks. It fits better for my attacking philosophy and I can still block with it fairly well to confuse my opponent the drives are 100 percent more affective and placement is much better due to friction. I also started twiddling in matches also do forehand chops I think that also helps my game for the element of surprise. I think your sponge at 2.3 mm is perfect for carbonado. The only disadvantage could be the weight but that s personal choice :)

You described perfectly how the ABS 2 PRO behaves. There is no need to impart speed to the ball, it does everything the rubber by simply holding it perpendicular to the table and adjusting the angle of impact based on the spin coming in. My opponent uses long pips (Butterfly Feint 3). I have 2 good old videos of games played against him. I recommend you watch them if you like his style! 😀

Texa Carbon is a blade made specifically for anti. So these rubbers work better on it than the Cybershape. The Cybershape has other characteristics. Great feel, it is softer. In my personal experience, I have noticed that the antis have less spin reversal on it.

Hi! I think that the Liam Pitchford is a great blade for anti (it has the same construction as mine). ABS 2 PRO is a fast rubber. In my opinion is too fast for your blade. I Recommend you a slower anti.

Is the ABS 3 fester than the SuperGlanti in 1,2 thickness? I am looking for a faster rubber with a good control. My SuperGlanti is way too slow. Is the ABS 3 a better option? What thickness can you guys recommend?

I have to say that I used it very little and with a much harder rubber on the forehand than the Donic Z2, but I liked it because it is similar in terms of speed. The carbon layer of Matador is more deeper near the core than the Carbonado so it feels slightly less stiff and with more control.

Grande Pablo! L'anti se impari a gestirla è velenosissima. Devo capire se ho voglia di imparare da 0 un nuovo modo di giocare. Con questa non puoi mai allontanarti dal tavolo. Sul diritto ti do pienamente ragione infatti ho ordinato la mia solita Z2 da sostituire la Bluegrip che é trooooppo dura. Sabato si inizia campionato!! Se riesco faccio la diretta. 🙂

Questa anti avendo una gommapiuma che assorbe poco (quindi restituisce sempre con una palla con traiettoria dritta/tesa) la si può usare solo stando più verticali possibile. Ha effettivamente un funzionamento che ricorda una puntinata lunga.

Ciao Gianluca! Io non ho provato le diverse versioni di ABS 2 (EVO e SOFT) quindi posso darti un giudizio solo sulla PRO e la ABS 3. La combinazione di questo video io ho trovato che ha veramente una ottima inversione. Te la consiglio se apprezzi telaio e antitop non lente. Se cerchi massimo controllo allora devi prendere assolutamente la ABS 3. Lentissima e facile da usare. È buona però se accoppiata a un telaio veloce se no risulterebbe troppo morta. Il Matador Texa Carbon si sposa ottimamente con entrambe le anti. 😉

Hi Peter! Yes, I tried the new A-B-S 3. I even made a video about it. It is a completely different rubber in terms of speed than the A-B-S 2 PRO. My impressions after trying them on fast blades: A-B-S 3 = very slow, great control, good spin reversal A-B-S 2 PRO = more difficult to control, Great offensive capabilities, very good spin reversal

@@AndreaAschi Oh I see, great video! Do you prefer the ABS 2 Pro ? Im not an anti player but Im thinking about to switch to it. I have the ABS 3 and it is really slow. would you suggest me to switch to the 2 PRo and get used to it ? Or is maximum control in terms of the low speed of the ABS 3 what I should aim for at this point ? When I watch Luka Mladenovic it is so impressiv what kind of aggressive/offensive balls he can push out with the anti. I feel like I cant do it with the ABS3 Or is there another anti rubber which you would suggest me ? Our playstyle is pretty much the same. The forehand is my weapon.

Il controllo devo dirti non è dei migliori in quanto questa anti ha una gommapiuma molto dura...ma cambiando l'angolo con il quale si impatta il block lo si riesce a gestire bene! 😉
