Had I heard the Truth coming out of this gentleman decades ago I couldve gotten myself gotten myself out of the grip of psychiatrists and polydrugging. Nonetheless ive heard this message and I'm proud to say that I am now undrugged after 40 yrs of poly psychotropic drugging and misdiagnosing. Thank you to these brave few drs fighting for the Truth.

I really admire the part where peter says that as a therapist you must unconditionally love your patients. I think the world needs to follow the practice of unconditional love more often.
@elizabethhastings5757
@elizabethhastings5757 4 года назад
Interesting thought however that's where I personally disagree with him. I don't think a therapist should love their patients in any way shape or form. A therapist should know how to detach themselves at the right time from their patient so that the patient does not develop dependency.

@@elizabethhastings5757 W/all due respect, Liz; I believe that u r taking the word "love" (& its definition) somewhat out of context. Dr. Breggin's meaning of "(unconditional) love" is accepting & appreciating individuals 4 whom they r & don't change them just bc u don't like how they behave (i.e.: force them on psych meds 2 "control" the behavior). Maybe I'm misinterpreting what u r conveying but I digress.

A couple more months, and I am off. I know what these drugs do to your brain, and I would never recommend to anyone withdrawing in such a speedy way. The best of luck for you 😊

You definitely can by living as healthy of a life as you can (get enough sleep, dont drink alcohol or do any other drug, eat as healthy as you can and get enough micro nutrients, exercise as often as you can including heavy lifting and cardio with sprints). People have experienced recovery that even if partial, often times has been enough to live an enjoyable life.

Did you tried vitamins? It's recommended for schizophrenics to take Omega-3 (25% reducation in positive and negative symptoms), B vitamins (B6, B8, B9 preferably methylfolate, B12; reduced symptoms compared to group that just take medication), vitamin D, probiotics help some patients (A 2017 Johns Hopkins study found that probiotics ease delusions and hallucinations in some people with schizophrenia. There are many kinds of probiotics on the market, so look for ones with Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus reuteri, and Lactobacillus fermentum. People with schizophrenia who took a probiotic that had all those strains daily for 12 weeks, along with high doses of vitamin D, reported large improvements in their symptoms, according to a 2019 study). It may not help but it's simple intervention

My 3yr olds mom who I live with started taking Adderall 8 months ago for her eating disorder. We're both in recovery. I was against it but didn't want to fight about it. She was supposed to just be on the lowest maintenance dose but is now at 40 mgs daily. The person I knew is gone and it is sad that she fought 20 yrs to get clean and sober only to legally get back on stimulants. My kid definitely notices. I care about her deeply but there's nothing I can do.

I have to be honest about my experience. No one ever told me that God in heaven would have a one on one loving relationship with a person. I discovered if someone confesses they will turn from self serving, any sin, and invite Jesus inside as Lord and Leader they are given a new full of love heart. After I decided to try Jesus, (that's what I told myself) I had light bulb eyes, I could feel God's hugs and love, I could hear the Holy Spirit talk to me as He sees Jesus over us not a impure heart. I felt loved inside for me when i gave up me, and God put in me a better heart. I surrendered to Jesus as shepherd. I became one of his body. Love flows from Him and through his body of true Believers. Im never alone as a friend is inside me all the time. Giving my heart to Christ gave me peace love and joy 🕊💗✨️

Support during withdrawal is very important. (When you are unable to go out and buy groceries, or cook a meal) Also financial stability (food and bills for 6-12months). One must decide for themselves. Pros and cons of staying on med/going off. Nobody should judge you (nor you should jouge yourself) for staying on them, if you decide so. It's ok. Story Time: When I was 15 I worked as a nurses aide in a nursing home. One day, a little lady who was always very sedate - never really moved from her chair, except when I took her to the bathroom, became volatile and angry toward me when I tried to help her up to walk with her. I called the DNS to come see what was going on, and she told me: "They must have missed her med." I asked what med she was on, and it was Thorazine. So, the one day she didn't have it, she came alive and got angry, and I thought to my 15-year-old self that I'd be pretty ticked off too, if I'd been drugged up for years and tied to a chair all day. Ugh. (This was back in the late 70s.) The "medical" community often sucks.
