This is so disgusting. I am so disappointed in you Dr. Phil. I respected you. This is animal abuse. The bulls are obviously not happy. Not only what they go through in the ring, but that they spend so much time in trucks. I thought you were higher than that.
I AM A DIEHARD BULL RIDING FAN!! JB MAUNEY IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!!❤❤ AND YES THE BULL-RIDERS ARE ALLOT OF THE ALLURE….JUST SAYIN!! IT IS SO EXCITING TO WATCH!!
Kid rock mentioned a bull riding team type tournament for every state in the union to have a team. PBR / rodeos are so much fun And family friendly. Americans need this.
This probably sounds dumb, but I thought bucking bulls were ALWAYS aggressive. Pleasantly surprised to find out that they are lil loves when they’re off the clock ♥️
We have been PBR fans since it's early beginning. Been to every final and multiple competitions during the season. Started with Tuff Heideman Adriano Morales the Carillo Brothers Ty Murray nothing like it
People forget that the PBR is not the only big show for bull riding. The PRCA is the top for rodeo. But it's all the events not just bull riding. JB Mauney actually came out and said that riding in the PRCA was better than the PBR.
Was passing through Cheyenne WY last week and they are gearing up for Pioneer Days National Rodeo next week. It’s a big deal. Was sorry I couldn’t stay to see it.
Salt Lake City has a big one coming up. July 24th for the Pioneer Days used to go all week. My husband used to ride bulls and saddle broncs. I miss the rodeos 😊
If you ever make it back to Cheyenne for Pioneer Days...you will enjoy the Rodeo and there are concerts also. It is usually runs "around" the 3rd week of the month in July each year for a week. I lived in Fort Collins, CO for 12 years and went up often, it is a very nice event, worth going to for sure.
@@pitgroove.37_66 It is not sport. The bulls did not give consent to participate. They are being used like sports equipment. This is animal abuse. This is barbarism.
@@barbaraibiel You're just proving my point that you know absolutely nothing about the sport of bull riding at all or even the world of rodeo in general
Everyone is always for the bull rider. I’m more for the bull fighters. My brother use to bull ride and I through out the whole time worried about the bullfighters then when it came to my brother riding I paid attention to him.
This is the most canned, blatant, and obvious advertising for professional bull riding...and I'm here for all of it... bull riding is the truest sport.
If you go to a rodeo, you’ll love it after only takes one rodeo and you’ll be addicted to it. My favorite rider is JB the million dollar bull rider and the girls love it because of the bull riders they’re real men these basketball players and football players they ain’t real men these bull riders are.
In just four days of competition at the 2024 Calgary Stampede, officials say three animals have died after being injured during chuckwagon races and the rodeo. In the latest incident, a steer injured during the steer wrestling competition on Monday had to be euthanized. The Calgary Stampede says the animal was assessed at the scene by a veterinarian, who then made the decision to euthanize it. The steer had its neck snapped while wrestling a cowboy
His last months maybe, but his track record is mixed. Have you seen the show where a dad went on the show not knowing what was going to happen and then his son came out in a dress, claiming he was a woman now? Phil defended the son for being so brave, while the dad was dying 100 times inside and outside in shame, disappointment and failure.
Planning to go to Reno, my sister said she will take us to the Rodeo there. My first time, but looking forward to. My husband saw this in Italy, and he said when he was a teenager he ran across the field, he almost got knocked down by a bull but he made it to the other side, his parents were about to strangled him after that lol.
They are taking better care of of some humans. You don't realize how good these bulls are taken care of they're treated like royalty they only work about 8 seconds a week and that's it
The reason why I did it to was I never felt those feelings before when I get on the back of it you can hear your own heartbeat and your thoughts and you can't hear nothing else but somehow you will here buzzard 🤙🤙
I love ❤ this sport bull rideing & im from england windsor uk whats the record for the longest bull rider? These bulls are built for this sport & the rider needs to have guts heart & balls tough extreme sport love it imagine the rush the bull riders get 😮
People have the general criticism that bull riding is cruel to the animal, that she went after this specific claim I've never heard before is downright bizarre.
Not all horses or bulls will buck with a flank rope or cinch. It’s a natural inclination for some. It’s the same as being ticklish, some people are tickled easily and some are not ticklish at all. Many of the bulls and horses who initially respond to the cinch will become desensitized to the sensation and will no longer be ticklish but because the cowboy gets bucked off then it becomes a game, they WANT to buck them off. The flank cinch is a cue to them saying, “it’s time to buck this guy off!” Sure, many would buck without the cinch which is why often after the cowboy flies off the bull or horse they desist bucking hard or even at all. The flank cinch is just the cue for “buck” as these animals are limited in verbal communication but rely upon physical communication. These animals are very intelligent and playful, they are born with a wild nature to champion over any rider. Just as a cat is born to play fight with a ball of yarn or a retriever dog is born to chase and fetch, these bucking bulls and horses are born to toss a rider. In nature, bucking is a survival instinct to buck off a predator. There are many bulls, cows, and horses who can be trained to accept a rider but then there are those who thoroughly enjoy tossing their rider and those are the ones who are selected to compete in a sport for which they were born. In nature these animals play and fight more rough with each other than the rodeo rough stock event. These animals are remarkable athletes, they recognize the arenas on their yearly circuit, they recognize the cowboys who they toss, and they recognize when they have triumphed over being ridden. Rough stock events display the natural playful nature of extraordinary bulls and horses as well as the natural inclination of extraordinary cowboys who try to ride them. You cannot MAKE a bull or horse buck if he or she does not want to buck just as you cannot make a person ride a bucking bull or horse if they do not want to ride one.
The belt you see in their back have Nails in it when they tighten it up it goes into them which is what makes them buck. They do not buck inherently unless they are being hurt or threatened so the bull while they're bucking their experiencing pain
That is an absolute lie. I can’t imagine what type of sadistic mind you must have to dream up something so evil. It is a flank strap, there is nothing stuck in it, attached to it or anything else. It’s people like you that spread so much misinformation. EDUCATE YOURSELF PLEASE
I had a lot of hope for this new home for the PBR, but this was the most Suburban Karen pandering schlock I've ever seen. I love PBR, but make this feminist virtue signaling stop. JC. 🤦♀️
I think it's horrible what these bulls go thru. It's absolute abuse. How can u say they are treated well, When uwhen u make them do this. This woman is nuts
@@sunnydae6602 you're not a animal biologist or psychologist you're just spouting your personal opinion I want to see your degree before you speak on the subject 😜
@@caydonhughes681 A person doesn't have to have a degree to identify animal abuse. I don't have a degree and if I see someone beating an an animal, I know I am witnessing abuse. I don't know much at all about this sport and to me, it doesn't seem like it is animal abuse. I hope it isn't abusive. What the makes the bulls and horses buck like that? I think people wonder if they are bucking because they are in pain. The comment section is where people express their opinions, not where only people with degrees speak on their expertise.
@@lesliewells-ig5dl see your statement shows that you don't understand what you're even talking about go read more literature before you come a spouting your aspersions.
@@lesliewells-ig5dl so you're more dumber then animal control what it took all the bulls away you are so delusional but they know the biology and the psychology you don't! I'm glad you posted this so that way people can understand that just cuz you have feelings does it mean you're correct
I was loving the latest from Dr. Phil, but this is disappointing and really makes me cringe. I thought the interview would highlight the pros AND cons of bull riding. The bucking straps, the electric prods, the fear, fractures, and even deaths that result from this sport need to be recognized as well. There are plenty of ways to build character and a good work ethic while celebrating the American spirit. It doesn’t have to involve putting animals and humans into compromising situations. I believe there are good elements in the mix here, but we can do better for these animals and our nation’s history! 🇺🇸 I love our country, but no longer attend rodeos because of the unbecoming and outright awful things that occur there. This interview clip highlights the best of scenarios. Please show the full picture.
Cruel and evil. Strapping electrical shocking devices to the poor animal's groin to make them kick like that. If you're a true athlete, you don't need to abuse an animal to achieve prowess. These men can't achieve anything amazing with their own bodies unlike other sports players.
You truly do not know about PBR. There are no electrical devices or anything else around their genitalia. The bulls are NOT abused in any way! They are athletes and treated very well. Please educate yourself before making judgments on something you clearly do not understand.
if that's the standard you're setting then people shouldn't own cats and dogs either😂 think about it you're feeding your pets food that they didn't ask you for and that's not even natural.. that's disgusting that you own a cat or dog right😂
@@caydonhughes681 I am educated on it. They strap an shocking device to the bull's testicles to make it kick like that. Then these poor creatures end up in a butcher factory where they're kept in horrible condition and killed in pain. Go research it before you tell someone they aren't educated.
