Que de souvenirs!! Qui n a pas aime cette serie? Sully..Michaela..Nuage Dansant et sans oublier les autres.. Moi j ai adore et j aime toujours.. Vive Docteur Quinn.❤️👍
I cry every single time I hear the soundtrack of this show it's so beautiful and touching Jane Seymour was so excellent in this show as Michaela Quinn and I loved her so much with Joe Lando as Sully they had such amazing chemistry together in this show!!!!!!!!!
This series was such an important part of my life! When I was out of work for 18 months and got so depressed a good friend of mine gave me the entire series to watch and it not only inspired me but lifted me out of my depression and I look back on those days of watching the series with great fondness. Imagine my excitement when I found out I lived only 20 minutes away from Paramount Studios Ranch and Malibu Creek Canyon where they filmed Dr Quinn!! I go there now every chance I get just to visit the town and search out the long forgotten shooting locations.
Cutelatinguy2 that's a wonderful story! Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman will always have a special place in my heart. Brings back such wonderful memories of the 90s and times long ago. I'm especially fond of the Thanksgiving episode with Johnny Cash and his wife June. Great, great show. Hope you recovered quickly. Best of luck.
That's such a great story. Jane Seymour herself was left penniless by her ex husband, and just when she feared that she would lose everything, she got the job as Dr. Quinn. It's interesting how life turns around, when you need it to the most.
I was born in 1998, the year when the series reached its finale episodes. But I grew up watching Doctor Quinn Medecine woman in France and I learnt a lot by then. Every episode inspired me, and it still does nowadays. My childhood model was Dr.Mike, and I've become an independent woman, the only difference is that I live in another time :) . I deeply cherish the words "Tolerance, solidarity and integrety" in my heart and I always will. Thank you Beth Sullivan!
I always get along with this TV series, I remember when I saw her every day more than ten years ago, it was a fixture, she was part of my childhood and now I'm seeing her slowly and I shiver every time❤️
Love this! some of my earliest memories are of this show watching it with my Mom. It came out when I was like 2/3ish I remember more watching the later seasons more than the earlier ones, but my mom, would tape them on VHS tapes and had all of the episodes like that for years. I remember having Doctor Quinn marathons, with my Mom, two older sisters, and sometimes my older sisters on the weekend, or when we were home sick from school or during summer vacation when it was raining, but even now that I'm 30 I still have to have a Dr.Quinn Marathon every so often, and I appreciate it now that I'm older I can relate to it more. Anyway loved the music from this show it was always my favorite part so fitting for every moment of the show. The music became a character within itself and didn't overpower the show.
You might say that the music actually played a character in the series because it was a integral part of the episode setting mood. If you watch the twenty fifth cast reunion here on You Tube, you will hear Beth Sullivan explain why she chose him as the major composer for the series.
The only other show theme that so magnificently fits the narrative of the show is Outlander...Olvis's score is emotional without being cloying or cliche...I love how he uses the french horn and the reed sections in particular. Of course, the strings are perfection.
