When I was in college no guys were talking to me and they weren't thinking about marriage. Since i am in my 30s I have never been married or even came close to meeting someone who wanted to propose to me. It does get discouraging for me when I see God blessing others and not me. I feel like God has forgotten about me. Plus the men that have tried to talk to me they don't have themselves together and they really don't have a relationship with God. And it's so easy to settle for less, but i refuse to settle for less. I was talking to someone for 6 years but he never ask me to marry him. So I decided to leave him a waste of time. This is awesome.

There are sprinkles of good information in this message however, as a 49 yr old divorcee, I was married at 28. By the end of my 30's I was a completely different person. Now at 49, I've changed even more and have different needs/requirements. There was no way in my early 20's I could have chosen the right partner because I had no clue who I was let alone someone else. There are definitely marriages that start young and last but I believe those couples have learned to simply love and let go of alot the things.

Years ago when I was younger, I would hear people say “ older people get married for companionship “…I am a 63 year old single female who loves, and serves GOD, and now I do understand that statement about older people.

NEEDED THIS! I'm hanging in there I've been celibate since I got baptized! I definitely have messed up in the past (I'm not perfect) but I'm trying to turn things around!!

This transparency is Real and is Real Life!!! Rule #1 Self Awareness. POWERFUL NEEDED TEACHINGS. I will most definitely continue watching to listen in regards to the other 9 rules. This is good, the ten rules of dating for singles as well as for married couples of all ages. You should be single and satisfied first loving on God and self, learning more and more about God and self and living for God. Even while dating in a hopefully God approved way. AND while Greatly Enjoying the single life, in an honorable way. Yes the word of God does say, It is better to get married than to burn if one is struggling bad in the sex area of life. Being Unselfishly Honest with self and others. With Gods keeping power, His help, I have been hanging on in there as a single Woman of God, and has been the reason why I have been able to do this in an Honorable way. Amen!!! TGBTG GOD BLESS

Thank you Dr. Vernon for addressing this pink elephant on the table. I'm 62, never married, no children, Holy Ghost filled Christian, love the Lord, educated, and desiring marriage. I've been waiting, in the Church, for decades. I've realized that I can work on my self-awareness during this season--that is what I concentrate on. I appreciate your words of encourage--60, 70, 80, 90 year-olds--do not give up--more than company (fire going on). I'm keeping hope alive!
