This is where things get tricky. I’ve had 3 pair or custom orthotics and 1 UCBL all made incorrectly. None of the techs took into consideration how my foot changed making contact with the ground. The foot is connected to the ankle and so on. All of it matters.

Good afternoon Dr. Richie. Can you please specify, how much plaster do you use to "align" the added platform with the original mold so the wedge is not "visible" anymore? It seems to me, that with this additional plaster there could be a less medial arch support, when compared to application of the extrinsic post. Can you show us, how both the intrinsic and extrinsic posted orthosis fit to the original cast? Thank you very much!
