This is an absolutely wonderful presentation, not just regarding the biology of the varroa destructor mite, but the insight to Dr. Ramsey's inspiration and findings. He's inspired, inspiring, and very articulate. Thank you so much for sharing this. A RU-vid with only thumbs UP and no thumbs DOWN, is also inspiring :)
I'm so blown away! You're a rock star. I hope to see you live in November when you speak at the Texas Beekeepers Association. I'm so excited, I don't even care if you give the same lecture. It will be worth it.
I am in Australia and we currently have a Varroa Incursion that is having everything thrown at trying to eradicate it. Thus I have been trying to get some understanding about this insidious pest. This has by far been the most informative and interesting presentation i have watched. Well done Dr Ramsey for not settling for non proven facts.
What an amazing presentation! Having no general interest in bees, I could not help but be intrigued by Dr. Ramsey and his vast knowledge of the subject.
This is a brilliant presentation which breaks new ground on how Varroa feed from the host bee whilst phoretic... It blows apart a few assumptions we have been told over the years, such as Varroa feed on bee blood 🤯. I learnt so much about from it which makes sense of some what I have found in practice. Watch and learn. 🧑🏫
This amazing presentation, entertaining, engaging and articulate blows apart almost everything I've been told about varroa mites over the last 20 years of beekeeping. What an achievement, and what perseverance he demonstrates.
Fantastic presentation. Dr. Ramsey, your work is much appreciated (and needed) by beekeepers. We can't thank you enough. I'm looking forward to more of your research.
Thanks for all the work you’re doing. Can you give more updates regarding TROPILAELAPS MITES, like you I believe that is the one that will have the largest impact on the beekeeping community and needs to be addressed now thanks
