I would have appreciated it, if there had been fewer and shorter speeches of greeting in favour of a longer speech of lecture. Nevertheless, I'm very happy to see that Tariq Ramadan is a welcome guest at a Turkish university.
Gevaarlik ! MAASHAALLAH. How valid and on point your analysis of the contemporary times are, even 6 years after this lecture took place. We most certainly as a people have lost depth and comprehensiveness of thinking, let alone critical thinking.
don't question too much , that's better for adepts and believers why , obey why , question yourself why too many religions why why , let's start thinking not always believing ....
Tariq speaks better French than English, faith and reason have been already treated by Greek philosophers and christian theologians ...what novelty does he bring to us ?
nothing new really .. he is charming and intelligent and eloquent so muslims identify to him .. not passionate ..he s rational and not dogmatic but he brought nothing new everything have been said already
these things have to be said, and have to continue being said and discussed in the future by future generations. Better it be said by a person who knows how to speak, and write.

Why is it that Christian Prince reigns supreme tearing Islam left right and centre ,while there are Muslims carrying titles like Doctor, Professor, Sheikh, Immam,etc As long as no one offers any worthwhile academic defense for Islam against Prince ,holders of such titles should be ashamed each time that title is mentioned before their names.
