@@carrierobbins6800 - spousal support and child support are two different things and have nothing to do with each other. There are three types of alimony. Temporarily, Rehabilitative and Permanent. In this case the court order was permanent alimony and she has to pay him until he marries again which I doubt he will do. She paying him for the lifestyle that he’s become accustomed to as she is the top earner in the marriage. The order can be modified if she starts making less than she was at the time the court order was issued. She will have to petition the Court to have this revisited if this happens. She will have to provide evidence in the form of financial accounting for the judge to review for a determination and/or an adjustment to be made.

@@Polyglotgoddess It's temporary spousal support which means she pays until the divorce is finalized. This order was based only on income, (40% higher earner -50% lower earner) nothing else. Based on this order, the court believed Bryan is making or should be making 22,000/mo which is what her attorney was able to document for the court. The final spousal support will be based on a lot more factors (like expenses) and both sides will need to provide proof. They were married for 4 yrs 3 mos so the maximum time she would have to pay is 2yrs 1mo. The next hearing is in 2 mos.
