In the 90s I was still in primary school but I remembered this on TV and radio in Zimbabwe. Now listening in 2020 yoh... Those mermaids used to mesmerise me lol!!! Ah ma guys muriko here uko???
Am here after someone mentioned in some comment section that Aronix got the melody of his song "Nja lwala" from this particular one and am somehow convinced so
This song just pop up in my head and I made it my mission for the last hour to find it 😂 I remember jamming to this at the theme park as a kid. Good times✨
Not sure if Mr B.W Stevenson would approve. But this is the way I met this song when I was a kid and it bring so much memorices. Thank you... For everything.
Saw him in Joburg back in 1996 as the warm up act for Tina Turner. His best 2 songs were this & Hey Jude; he really got the crowd going with the "na na na na hey Jude" chorus - awesome!
When I used to see him in Parktown and I always thought to myself this guy had an international hit. This inspired Dr.Albany who also became an international star on Dance music. But this was hard to believe it was South African hit because it was towards the end of Apartheid days.Again you also had Ricardo and Jonathan Butler who had big international hits.It just goes to show that we can be at international level with right talent and guidance.Nasty-C is primary example right now.
Gracias por este video, esta canción no la escuchaba desde 1996 en alfa radio en la ciudad de México con mi walkman sony, tantos recuerdos y tanta buena música
