This comment!!!! Louisiana to this day still has colorism running rampant through its black community especially for the more accomplished black folk. I can attest to this because I have family in Louisiana on my dad’s side and have witnessed this on many occasions so to hear the comments about Gizelle being colorist doesn’t surprise me at all.

Am I the only one that can’t with this show? Andy isn’t holding people accountable and doesn’t have range, Giselle is diabolically evil and not fun to watch, Candiace is being gaslit almost all the time, Wendy is way too accomplished and smart to have these folks play in her face, and I’m tired of Karen trying to play Switzerland! If it wasn’t for your reviews I wouldn’t bother with this show.

As many times as we’ve seen the white housewives constantly crying and being overly dramatic. I have no issues with Candice’s tears. The double standards and policing of black women’s emotions are exhausting and for Andy to call out Candice for being empathetic towards the death of Gizelle’s father was disgusting.

Did you catch Karen's face crack when Candiace started with " I deeply regret" and then ended with " that Gizelle would try to weaponize her children ". They really thought it was about to be another apology. The WAY I screamed. It was FLAWLESS. That moment alone let me know something is definitely going on with Candiace because she is a verbal assassin and she really could have ended them this reunion.

I know Candiace probably got spoken to by production and she was trying not to get activated, and saw no matter what she did, it would still be unfair, she quit. Also, Candiace got to spend time with Gizelle’s dad when in New Orleans. She sang at the event there…of course she would cry. Gizelle has become over the years very bitter. She also does lie when it comes to anything to do with Wendy or Candiace. Just like when Wendy had her Happy Eddie event and said that everyone was laughing and having a good time and Gizelle with her miserable self in her confessionals saying, “laughing? Who was laughing? I wasn’t laughing.” Then production plays back scenes of her laughing it up. She’s a liar!!! Lol!! The last we have seen anything real with Gizelle was when she was crying over Cedrick at the shampoo bowl. After that, we never saw anything real from her other than bitter meddling in other peoples relationships 🤦🏽‍♀️

Yes, she is an empath AND a Sagittarius. I can speak from my own experience, that is a lethal combination. We feel your joy & your pain (and everything in between). We are loyal to a fault. HOWEVER, if you cross us... God help you. Candiace is still maturing. I'm older than her and I'm still maturing. You can see it in some of her responses (or lack thereof). I believe production "gave her a talking to" before the reunion and she decided (rightfully so) that she didn't need to deal with this BS any longer. There are likely some other issues at play because her level of regret over the demise of her relationship over Robyn is curious. I hope she moves on to bigger & better things.

I've come to realize that this franchise in particular is dangerous for brownskinned women. It is not a safe place. Why have all the physical assaults been done on the brownskinned women of the cast, and somehow the lightskinned women have all skated by? IMO, I think it's because: 1/ she's always compared to Gizelle so she'll always be nicer compared to her 2/ Robyn is nasty but seems to be nice with everyone too. So basically, it becomes the tale of "She's a nice girl but is nasty under the influence of Gizzard" 🙄

And Wendy was correct, and I I would even go further and say Black people do not have the range to discuss how layered and nuance colorism is. A lot of Black people practice and agree with colorism. This is why I see all over social media, especially in regards to Candace and Wendy comments like “how can Wendy talk about colorism when her mother bleaches”. Or “ Candiace is married to a white man so she cannot talk about colorism” Both of those statements are flat out wrong. The way the audience and Candace and Wendy’s coworkers respond to colorism validates Candace is argument.

Robyn alluding to anyone cheating is the funniest/saddest thing to watch. Juan sold her a dumb lie about his alleged infidelity and she said, “yeah that sounds good.” I really hope she gets the boot before next season.

The crazy part is that Candiace prefaced the colourism conversation by saying that she did not believe any cast member was colourist.

I think Candice was pressured by the network to retract her statements that the cast (and vicariously Bravo) is colorist because advertisers won’t work with them otherwise. No one wants to be publicly associated with anything that is classified as racist/ colorist.

I’ve realized that Giselle getting second chair may have shook her up a bit BUT she realized by Andy’s actions and question choices that she really had no reason to be worried. She seemed like she came back a little harsher knowing that this was a stunt to appease the other viewers.
