QQ. where did you get the bolts to attach the metal bracket to the frame? I looked through my kit and couldn't find them, and my bike doesn't seem to have them Also, you did not cover the original plate light, which has a wire on its own. Of which, is not mentioned in the written instructions either, and so I have no clue what to do with that :/
i really like the looks and the over all design BUT why is it so expensive? any KTM rear fender costs like 50 bucks... im located in germany and with tax and shipping i would need to pay 260€ for the rear fender alone (almost 290$US). then i would need to buy a koso tail light for another 30€ because yours isnt legal in europe. thats just too much for a piece of plastic. maybe if you make it cheaper you would sell more... especially in the rest of the world. also id like to know why a bit of plastic which probably weighs in at around 2 or 3 pounds costs 100$ shipping. if youre not making it cheaper maybe you could sell it in peaces so i can buy the mudguard/plate holder and take a rear fender from a different bike to build my own rear or something
Bike Wolf, we would love to sell them cheaper, however, it is not possible. These pieces are vacuum formed, this process is very labor-intensive plus the sheets of plastic are much more expensive than the pellets used in injection molding. Injection-molded pieces require molds that cost tens of thousands of dollars, which would also raise the price on these as we would not have the economies of scale that the OEM`s enjoy. As for shipping, the costs have to do with the size of the box, not the weight. Shippers charge off of volumetric weight, not actual weight. Finally, I think you should do a little research as our pieces cost less than the factory pieces.
*Give me your old plastics that you took off that bike.* I was wanting to replace my white plastic with gray plastic, but that stuff is (needlessly) higher than a pissed-off cat's back. It runs (about) $365.00 for all new plastics for a DR650. I can completely outfit a China bike for less than $100.00. Convince me that's not a racket.
Step one, dont buy a seat concepts seat, step 2 if you do, take it to an upholsterer to make it fit. Better quality from Chinese garbage and a 1/4 of the price.
