Draaiorgel de Venlo - The merry go round broke down 

This song brings back memories of my visit to Idlewild Park last summer: The organ was playing "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" right as the carousel actually did break down!

Lots of kids in this generation cannot appreciate the incredible complexity of such machines. To them everything that has their focus is in a few inches of rectangular plastic or aluminum at most 1/4 inch thick. But this instrument is an amazing bit of work. Bravo to whomever it is that maintains it.

Dat was Bram Beijersbergen, hij is in het najaar van 2005 met pensioen gegaan
