it honestly breaks my heart when i hear people call draco the “bad guy” or “the jerk” they obviously don’t see how much pain he is in and that his father is making him do all these things. he is the boy who had no choice and for people to call him the bad guy breaks my heart. you can tell he doesn’t want to do the things his dad and voldemort make him do. he cried over thinking he killed a bird! he’s not evil!
it pisses me off that people don't pay attention to the bird scene at all, because it's one of the most important scenes that reveals Draco as a guy with a good heart. he wept over the dead bird and blamed himself for its death! and after that, do you really think that he is a "villain"??!

Draco was the true one in danger. Potter was surrounded by skillful and very powerful professors and people (albus, Minnie, Serius, Flitwick, etc) but draco had no one and he had to do the dark lords bidding or he would die. He wasn’t bad; he was trapped.

That clip when is parents make him cross over to Voldemort, he looks around briefly to his fellow students and I always think it looks like he's wishing someone would try to stop him or help him 🥺✨

this is 100% untrue. his father cared for draco extremely. thats the only reason why he made draco do those things, to protect him from the dark lord. lucius only join the death eaters to protect narcissa and draco. he did everything for his family. he isnt a bad guy.

it breaks my heart that everyone calls draco mean and a bully when really he isn't. i've been rewatching the movies and rereading the books and i noticed a lot of times that the golden trio are the ones who say something mean first. for example, whenhe first called hermione a mudblood, in second year, hermione insulted him first because he was bragging about the brooms his father got for the team. he's allowed to brag, but hermione got annoyed and insulted him. so he insulted her, which ron responded to by trying to jinx him and make him vomit slugs. i honestly believe that ron deserved it when tthe spell backfired. lmao, i was kinda ranting for way to long about one scene, but i feel like its things like these that people miss because they think the golden trio can do no wrong. i honestly feel really bad for draco and i hate that most people misunderstand him. he's had a difficult life, contrary to what many people think. surely he has money, but money can't buy everything. i wish more people would understand what he's really like. also, i am so mad at jk rowling for kiling off astoria. how could she kill her? @@evamae2428 no there isn't a story to read or movie to watch. But we know he got married to her and she had a disease or smth(I think it's on HP wikipedia) so in canon she died quite recently. So Draco would be alone again, with only his son left.

OMG YES don't be sorry, you're totally right! Also when I rewatched the movies when Draco was "bullying" other kids it wasn't even mean at all it was just like, really fake sounding. Which leads us to again that his parents just want him to be evil. People think Slytherins are so evil or at least bullies but they forget Sirius and James were bullying Severus. AND YEAH WHY DID ASTORIA HAVE TO DIE- I would've liked to have known more about her. I literally want to cry thinking about how misunderstood Draco is. It's not fair.

well you have to take it on Harry’s POV, Harry didn’t know he had an anxiety attack or he was in a bad mental state, plus what Draco did was bad, but again he had no choice and again Harry didn’t know anything that was going on, Draco gave a girl a cursed necklace that she was going to deliver to dumbledore so I’ll kill him, I would of done the same, Harry was angry and to be honest he didn’t mean to hurt him that he could of died , according to the movie, he just took a spell from the half blood prince (snape).

I hate it when people say that Draco was forced to become a bad guy, because he wasn’t a bad guy. I don’t think that any of the things he did can give him the title of a villain at all, regardless of if he wanted to do them or not. Obviously he was forced to a degree to do the things he did, but there’s just such a massive visible amount of good in him that you’d have to be damn blind to call him a villain. And he became an even better person in the cursed child (if you count it as the 8th book-) anyway the point is, Draco is an a,a zing person and he deserves so much better. He always did.

FINALY!! Since I first read the books, I've always wanted Justice for how Draco is portrayed. This just describes his life and how he basically had no one for him to lean on for real.
No one realised he was in pain, they just thought of him as a jerk but I feel like near the end of the deathly hallows (1&2) they realised how he was forced and the pain his father did to him. If they only had noticed earlier they could of stopped Draco from going to Voldemort, such a sad story

Like he always protected him and he was the closest to a father figure for Draco, Snape put himself in danger to defend Draco cause he saw himself in Draco, a boy in a toxic family. Btw, I'm writing a fanfiction where Draco's son Scorpius will finally understand Draco and support him. Because I don't like the fact that he'll always be misunderstood. He deserves better. I wanna rewrite the whole harry potter series but with an another character that would change a lot of things Im trying to write my own original story about a girl named Mariah that lost her parents. She is very powerful and kinda scary. Actually she is just really hurt and realises that power and fame isnt everything. She meets a boy simular to Draco who also had a sad story on why he is 'mean' At the end they would fight darkness together and make the world a better place There would also be characters like Bellatrix or Lucius etc. Other characters would be the "normal" ones who think Mariah and the guy are crazy. I just need a little more motivation and creativness, I may actually make it

@Nina I’m working on a fanfic but I’ve added a character who’s a muggle born Slytherin girl called Aquila Nightingale who had a darkened past with her muggle family and doesn’t seem to fit in anywhere. She and Draco seem to have a deep connection underneath everything but he’s always masking that by bullying her until finally comes the day where they have to unite for the greater good, no matter how much they want to fight with each other, they both understand what abusive parents are like.
Here is explaining Draco’s life. As a child he had a smile on his face. Even if it was from making fun of people. You could tell he was happy in the first movie. In the second movie, he was slightly worse. His father seemed to neglect him and his father never loved him. He was disappointed in him for almost dying after falling off the broom. But once he became a teenager- his smile vanished. He became more broken than ever. He wanted to cry every moment. He did not want to hurt anyone. You could see how he was watching Harry his whole life. You could tell he was jelous of his friendships. Draco only had Crabbe and Goyle/ Goyle and Blaise- who were never true real friends. His whole life he had no one. When he was younger he would play with Dobby secretly in his room. Are you wondering how dobby knew so much about him when he had never gone anywhere but the Manor? Who do you think told him everything. But then when dobby left he was alone again. His whole life he didn’t want to be bad. When his parents called him over- you could tell he was waiting for someone to grab his hand and tell him to stop. He had no choice. He had no where else to go. As an adult he was still broken inside. Especially after losing Astoria and almost losing Scorpius. His whole life he wished wasnt real. One scene he was standing on top of the astronomy tower looking down- thinking about committing. He didn’t want any of this. He. Deserved. Better.
I feel that this song fits very well with him, "I had everything I wanted, but it seemed more like a nightmare" the only thing he wanted was to be like his father and that lucius was proud of him but ,he realized that the life of a Death Eater was not so good as he believed, nor was he as cruel as he believe.

I'd like a book about 6th year to like 5 years after the war. Because it would've been so hard for him to go through all the emotional struggle, going against his parents beliefs, making peace with people. The mental health illnesses he would come out with would be a lot for someone who's not had to deal or heard, or have someone they know experience before would be a lot for a seventeen year old to do.
Draco can’t be himself and he definitely deserves a better life, more screen time, and not the life he has right now If he was not forced to be something he is not, I bet he would be a caring,nice, and not be so stressed. this is so sad, he didn't deserve what he went through, especially when his father was calling his name to go over to Voldemort's side, you could see draco was stood there waiting for someone, anyone, to tell him not to, someone to care about him, i wish jk made pansy or hermione (i'm a dramione shipper lol) to stop him from going over and for him to rebel against his parents, i think that would have made a great plot twist for draco, and maybe get the ending he truely deserved:)
