@@silentjudging2979 I think we can all agree that Isaac was less than human during his introduction and up until the final episode when he decided to be the change in the world instead of trying to change the world. Isaac was physically human but he had just as much hatred and indifference towards humanity as any other vampire. Dracula didn't spare him, Isaac wasn't even a target. As a matter of fact Dracula basically said "I'm killing all of humanity, see you around Broski" and Isaac said "I honestly could not find a single reason to disagree with this plan"
@@TheAnimaAnimal it's old but that trope wasn't the main focus, the main trope of castlevania is "humanity is a plague on earth that must be eradicated for their ignorance", which itself is also an overly used trope. The story of Dracula tho is kinda straight forward, you can only change so much before it's not Dracula anymore. Basically meaning you can't tell Dracula's story w/o including at least 1 of the tropes the story itself popularized. Dracula came out in 1897, I'd say it's older than most tropes
@Michael Hayes Actually, it's left up to interpretation regarding whether or not Isaac was ever a target but most lean towards the yes spectrum. If you recall his talk with the Captain, he himself very much assumed that he was part of the metaphorical pig pen. He simply didn't care because in his eyes, humanity on a grand scale (himself included) wasn't really worth it. He considered himself disposable for the greater good I can't say with absolute certainty that Dracula would have let Hector live had their goals been achieved and even Hector himself doubted as much prior to his loyalty beginning to waver in favor of Carmilla.
The quiet kid : pack your bags, leaves and do not ever look back, this is my last ounce of kindness before it perish by malice. From today and onwards, no more do i travel as a man Me : im outta here then, lil bro 😂
Look dude, I love Dracula in this Series, but he's no Uncle Iroh telling the nice female guard to go home early so she won't be obligated to try and stop him during his breakout attempt. :P Then again, I'm pretty sure Iroh didn't kill anyone just traumatized the hell out of them so your example might be the more accurate one :P
@@stazzy5858 yeah, I remember that. I think they were literally getting ready for some kind of religious themed parade right when the night creatures first attacked. LoL x_x
If he was a man then he would have accepted what happened and moved on. He acted like a monster by unleashing the legions of hell on Earth. Then he harmed his own son.
@@Torkoal-ov4mn He showed that he cared about someone and wasn't going to let corrupt people get away with what they did. He then saw that was turning into the monster he wanted to kill. In the end he did 3 180s. He went from a vampire who cared for a human more than anyone else. To a vampire who wanted to wanted to vanquish any human because humans killed his wife for no reason. To a vampire who saw himself no better than the monsters he wanted gone.
@@sapheyersoftsounds7693 tbh I have to agree with the first comment because even though I believe his anger is justified, his son lost his mother too and was making more sense than Dracula, “kill the one who did the deed” makes more sense than killing indiscriminately because “all humans are like this”, that’s just crazy
@@Torkoal-ov4mnare you serious with this comment? He isn't a man he is a vampire. If you were a superior being how would you view a lower lifeforms. How do you treat you cat? Like a human child. Just stop lol
“If you kill us all you end human cruelty, yes. But you end human kindness too. No more jokes. No more gifts. No more surprises. Why would a man with all your fantastic knowledge not use it to teach people how to be kind?”
@@CursedClawsno he means by how there wife changed them and made them a normal human (john wick was the most dangerous person in his world I mean dude made one person scared who just made everyone hunt him down and that she is higher in rank then wanted to see his dead body because if he survived she will be dead)
The fact that Dracula was so calm when he thought Lisa was held hostage, solely for the fact that it would cost him nothing to save her... yet he became the devil's embodiment after he heard she was *dead*
@@jacobbenear2206yes he needed time to bring an army, but i belive if they actually have changed, he would forgive them, we can even see after all in s2 he is not even angry anymore( but still full of hatred), but man kind was so f*cked up he decided to destroy them once and for all
yeah but it was kinda expected...Dracula didnt even sound surprised when he saw this....humans afterall :D to be honest I have often given up on humanity so I can empathize with what the guy is going trough
Dracula could have gone berserk mode the moment he found out about everything and murked everyone. But because he learned to value life, he gave the town who did this 1 year to make it right. That alone was what made him better than humans. But that shitty town did nothing and even celebrated the death of his wife so yeah they had it coming, no sympathy from me.
He gave them a year solely because he needed a year for hector and Isaac to create a hellbeast army to wipe out humanity. I mean, he probably couldve done it himself, but he is just one being. It wouldve taken way too long.
Better than humans ? He went on a genocide plan on the scale that would make our own extermination maniacs pale in comparaison, I fear for humanity when reasonings like those exist, indeed. You leave the town, guess what happens in one year ? You still get ripped apart.
@@mazemusicx9221I mean, if it was solely because of that, why tell them? I think it was more like “you’d better sort yourselves out before I get over there OOH you’ll be sorry”
@@mazemusicx9221 think ur overlooking something. If it was just so he could raise an army that he honestly didn’t need, he wouldn’t have told them that they had a chance to make it up to him. He coulda just 1: done it all himself, or 2: raised the army in secret to begin with. He was trying to give them an out. A chance to show that humanity was actually worth keeping around, even if they had their faults.
He only took a year because of logistics, so everyone knows. It's stated in the series that it took that year to prepare his army of darkness. They weren't just lying around in some cave somewhere after all, he had to dredge them out of hell one by one.
I love how Dracula was totally composed even after seeing this, and even after that, he was still calm and assumed that she was just captured, but once her death was confirmed, he went berserk.
low-key it would've been awesome to see Dracula not be too late. like she's imprisoned and he goes to the cathedral to save her.eitjer with his entire army or he could sneak in and be non lethal as she would want
Western animators have different sensibilities when it comes to animation but that doesn’t mean it’s inferior on a technical level. Hell, the Family Guy chicken fight sequences are better animated than a lot of Japanese anime.
Only an amazing show could have a Vampire with righteous cause to destroy, a forgotten relic of a hunter whose whole existence is to hunt said vampires; also team up with Draculas son. And have them both hate the ones who did this to his wife, but also justify them fighting to the death. So many moving story pieces and it all fits together perfectly.
yeah cus Im pretty sure some of the people the wife heal turn their back because she may be a wich just the old lady was wise enough and that safe her and her family lifes
@@javiermelgarejo5382 MY GUY THE PEOPLE THAT WATCHED COULD HAVE ALL STOOD UP AND SAID WE WILL NOT BE APART OF THIS OR ATLEAST TRIED TO STOP IT, but not they all just stod there laughed and fucking watched an innocent woman burn
@@therealmrarchive You mean the people who straight up ignored him after an impressive show of power, telling them "Hey. I'll give you one year to change. Or I'll raise hell" He literally tried to warn them with a feat equal to an act of god, and they took it for granted.
They did a really good job with working with the source material in between Dracula's Curse and Symphony of the Night. The writing is top-notch as is the dialogue.
@@adriantepes4355 Justifiable: Capable of being Justified. Justified: having or shown to have a just, right, or *reasonable basis* Eradicating humanity after witnessing an entire city celebrating the day they burned his innocent wife at the stake? Not morally good, but Justifiable at least to a degree. Like a man hunting down every wolf he finds for the next 40 years because a pack of wolves ate his son. To Dracula, it was inevitable that humans would cause more pain. So he felt it was justified.
The fact that vlad actually lived as a man because he loved her, accepting as part of the human society, and yet, the society itself turned against him and his wife, backstabbing them Dracula has the every right to slaughter everyone of them (except the grandma, she's good)
If you feel sorry for Dracula, remember he tricked his friend Leon Belmont into helping him become a vampire in the first place, causing the death of Leon's love, and turning the Belmonts against him,all so Dracula could get revenge on God for the death of his first wife,Elizabetha, since Lisa was his second wife....(Lament of Innocence)
Considering how things went down later on, leaving Wallachia wasn't enough. SPOILERS... The sisters conquered most of the country and Isaac crossed the waters. I doubt there was anywhere safe for her.
dude fucked up even the demons was telling him you lie in the house of GOD? and then proceeds to tell him god dont even love him out of what he did to his wife, god fr said nah im siding with the demons on this.
if you have never watch this you are really missing out on a damn good anime even if it is Netflix. I have been watching anime since 1999 and this is up there with the some of the best I have seen
The saddest thing is that that old woman was the one who betrayed. The old woman was the one who told holy Inquisition she was a witch, And he received money for it
It broke my heart because His wife was begging for them not to do it, saying, "Please! He's come so far!" Commenting on how far.Dracula came in regards with seeing and dealing with humans. The perspective all together. Only for the villagers and the annoying preist to kill her. When I watched it, I was like: "Alright. Yall asked for the smoke. Now yall gonna suffer. Great going..."
Makes me sad to know he didn't hear her last words, her final plea. "Be better than them, please!" If he didn't know what happened to her he couldn't have been listening
