Reading correct draft is very important as all the calculations for cargo and stability done on ship as per the draft.
Draft means how much our ship or vessel is sunk in water.
Draft = distance from keel to water line.
This can be read from the markings on ship side forward, Aft and AT midship on both side of the ship.
