I totally get your frustration Ian. The truth is, that he asked, not politely I should add, to see the evidence, Steve, Dispar, MM, your good self and myself and others, presented honest evidence in inany different forms, proving that momentum is not energy, this is an immutable fact. On the other hand, he has claims and assertions with not one supporting piece of evidence, even if he had one, this still wouldn't be enough to draw a conclusion, it would have to be repeatable and reliable and done in different forms to show the same outcome. Between us all, we have done just this, presented many different demos, shpwing and proving the truth, in a scientific manner. Its about time he climbed out of his baby walker and took some proper grown up steps and show us and all of physics the evidence and proof of his claims, i personally would enjoy seeing him trying to bend the laws of physics. Yes he has attempted experiments, i use that term very loosely though, no measurements of any kind, no over view of the set up and all just pretty child like attempts, actions speak louder than words, all he has is words and empty ones at that.👍😊
You can see if momentum is stored in a spring, and he has seen it. You can see in a simple two body linear collusion the momentums absolute values summed goes up, but it's balanced when direction is taken into account. He's seen that. The only other thing would be for him to see it in person by doing the experiments. Instead, he claims he's never seen it.

@@pyrrho314I think they commonly refer to that kind of behavior as lying through your back teeth. If he is to lazy to do the experiments himself, he claims to have plenty of spare cash and could easily afford someone to do a live performance for him, any considering that, I'd advise an upfront payment as he'd refuse to pay when nature does it's thing, then he would welch on payment, as it would be a faked experiment then.😊👍
Writing as an old man of eighty years old, and an Engineer, and a Doctor of Science that is still employed in many projects around the world, I have stumbled upon this upload, and watched disinterestedly until you requested some feedback. My question to you, is that you are making perfect sense in your presentation, so why are you even concerned about what the other guy whoever that might be, thinks? If he thinks something different then he is wrong, but does it matter? The world is full of people who don't know how little they know, and then they open their mouths to prove it.

The problem has been and the reason I started making videos was in defence of fundamental concepts such as K.E But it needs no defence I hear you cry! I have been trying to "prove"it to a certain arguer for over a year now. In so doing iam now interested in my own lack of understanding such as that in my latest video. Here the arguer asserts that 1 mass going 2velocity has the same energy as 2 mass going 1 velocity. I was hoping to show the faster masses greater energy,but i am missing some understanding. Of course it's not listened to. It's like talking to flat earthers. Or a wall, but with added insults. For the spinning bar, if the weights are aligned with the pivot, then the bar will spin and eventually stop at some point due to friction, not necessarily horizontally. The forces due to earth's gravity on the two weights will remain constant (assuming a trivial difference in distance from the weights to the centre of the earth), in this simple case, F and 2F, and thus the torques applied to the bar by the two weights at F*2L and 2F*L will be equal and opposite. If the weights are, as in your demonstration, not aligned with the pivot, the forces due to gravity on the two weights will again be constant, but the torques will not - as the bar tends to vertical with the weights "to the right", there will be a clockwise torque applied to the bar, and as it tends to vertical with the weights "to the left" there will be an anticlockwise torque applied to the bar. This is what causes the oscillation; it is only with the bar horizontal that the torques will be equal.
Ian, you have done great work over and over but as you point out, you are essentially explaining this to a child. And not an intelligent, honest child willing to learn.
