Bill Warner is dead. 278 mph at Texas mile. 311 mph over 1.5 miles at Loring AFB. 280 mph over a standing mile before his fatal crash. His motorcycle was not a street bike. It was a highly modded turbo charged Suzuki Hayabusa. Sure it was based on a production Hayabusa and met some of the criteria for a steet class motorcycle but it would have been a big stretch of the imagination to say it was streetable. It had a modified and stretched chassis plus full enclosed streamlining made by Bill. 700 hp at peak tune. No lights or indicators. It is not considered a street bike as it wouldn't have been registered legally in any US state and wouldn't pass any MOT rules. Your comment is a good reason not to believe anything you read on the internet without checking facts from credible sources. World's fastest motorcycle? What about salt lake stream lined motorcycles?

A few weeks ago a pro street motorcycle using street tires with no wheelie bar directly after launch caught traction and propelled itself ten to fifteen feet up in the air into a back flip at which point the rider was ejected ..then both rider and bike fell out of the sky like rocks smashing down onto the surface of the track ..the rider landed on his knees and elbows while the bike nose first crashed just inches away from the rider ...how many riders will have to be hospitalized before the promoters realize pro street motorcycles with boost and NOS capable of 6 secs in the 1320 need drag racing slicks that are consistent traction and using wheelie bars to reduce they chances of killing people ? Let me guess , someone has to be killed .....NHRA requires cars that are capable of 8 sec. 1/4 mile runs to be equiped with parachutes..and pro stock motorcycles that are capable of 6 sec. 1/4 mile runs to be equiped with drag racing slicks and wheelie bars for safety reasons so the life expectancy of the rider is greatly improved !
