Frl, you can tell it's one of those garments that probably looks much better up-close (like looking at yourself in the mirror) but looks horrible onstage.
Nina, Shannel, and Plastique slayed it. Love Gottmik but she sort of just put on an already existing look from some high end designer. Which was my issue on her season and I’m guessing it’ll be my issue this season. I live for her hair and makeup and her personality. But I always just feel like because she is a nepo baby and has connections to ultra wealthy people and designers she has a giant leg up on the competition. And it just doesn’t feel authentically her.
Agreed. Gottmiks drag always feels slapped on. She is nice for editorial but once she opens her mouth or Starts walking it all loses appeal for me. I know she’s creative and her makeup and hair is nice but I’m not impressed by her. Nina did nothing for me. Kind of my beef with her in general. Shes a nice person and her drag has improved but she needs help conceptually and with execution. Another one that when she starts making faces and walking like a brick layer that I lose interest. Shannels look was great and Plastique gets my vote for best look. Beautiful makeup design, not off the rack but a nice mix of tradition, modernity, beauty and creativity. I enjoyed Angeria and Jorgeous ok but Jorgeous weed stuff is played out.
Season would be better if everyone had the same budget that’s the problem with drag race - I like how in legendary they leveled the playing field by giving them designers so they didn’t have to worry about money disparity
