He will never take the Zenvo on track. In one of his other comments here, he alludes to the idea that he cannot afford the insurance to do so, or at least won't pay to do so. Also, for the same reason, I hope he does not purchase another Zenvo. I'd much rather see cars on the channel he will use properly, rather than rolling garage queens.
@@gen1c8rs88 Very atiff rear suspension and a much less advanced launch system than then the SF90. And keep in mind that there are no drag radials available, so prep will only do so much.
I would put money on the SF90 Stradale beating it on the street in a drag race and even on a dragstrip. Track the Corvette will most likely win so no it's not a hypercar. The Valkarie, AMG One, Jesko, Nevera and others are hypercars. If that ZR1 came out when the Holy Trinity came out it would be one for sure. However times have moved on.
Actually I don't think it'll be that much faster on a straight line than 296. On street 296 might even win. I saw the way Z1 was climbing till 210mph and it felt quite slow. One 296 easily passed 210 on Autobahn. Maybe it's the aero on Z1 but 296 is no joke
@@spitymaeh that's if you drag race the same car over and over again. Taking it to santa pod once and doing 2 or 3 runs won't put any of shmees cars in undue danger
I think more of these are needed - it’s a good way to put into context exactly *how* fast these cars are. Especially with the “baby” Ferrari designation it really shows how insane it is. I also want to see the SF90 entirely unleashed!
I think a 10.3-10.4 at 134 is the record for a bone stock GT500 (s550 body style) but the Ferrari's trap speed is like 147-149 which is absurd, with a better 60 foot, that is a 9.3-9.4 1/4 mile
Honestly, I'd rather have the better sounding and better looking Mustang. I don't drag race everyday so I don't care about it being the slower car. That GT500 is a great looking car! I think the SLS Black Series and the Shelby GT500 would be a much closer drag race. Yeah, that's a race I'd like to see.
Honestly I'd be interested to see some Mickey Thompson drag radials on the back of the Mustang. You would think with some suspension tweaks and other few adjustments that Mustang should pick the front wheels right off the ground
Interesting race, though, the result could not have been more clear in the end. 🏁 Next: Clio V6 vs. whatever daily EV is in the barn. Maybe top up the same video with some even more super cars too 😉
That 296 hauls. Frankly with that stock exhaust though when it picks up it’s one of the worst sounding newer Ferraris I’ve ever heard. I’d take the Superfast over this anyway honestly I love the look and sound of the Superfast
Damn it looks like the Mustang would need another 300 HP to have a legitimate chance at winning. It wasn't even anywhere close despite the 70hp difference on paper.
Wow, 145mph trap speed from a 296 GTS is insane. Also, I know you don't do a lot of drag racing but please record and post the footage when both cars go through the traps so we can see the quarter mile time and trap speed.
@@irtiza4262 I wish people would stop saying this just because Carwow did it once. I've ran my SF90 against several 296's belonging to friends. We have tried it on the Autobahn and tracks. We have tried to swap drivers. Not once has a 296 been faster. Not saying it cannot be the case under some specific conditions as they are close, but I personally have not seen it and others I speak to, haven't either. After that Carwow video, many owners of both, was a bit curious, so many has tried to replicate it. In a big group of owners of both, some really good racers, nobody has been able to replicate that result.
Definitely need to do more of these races, was really entertaining to watch the mustang and ferrari and this gives you an excuse to get more miles out the cars you drive less
when you feel boom and hear the roar of top fuel dragsters, 4-6000hp, launching and racing flat out it is mind blowing. 1/4 mile in about 4 sec. then there's the jet cars....

That Ferrari has no less than 900HP. All turbo cars allow "over boost" in track mode etc. The guys don't know much about cars: saying the mid engine was the difference. None of that matters once the cars are rolling.
I know it would be *stupidly* difficult to organise, but I'd love to see a tournament style drag shootout between all of the shmeemobiles from the 1.2 Clio to the Zenvo. Highlights of which for me would be: 1. GT Black Series vs SLS Black Series (how far Mercedes have come) 2. Ford GT vs 675LT (similar power, vastly different price point) 3. 296 GTS vs the Zenvo (a bonkers race for sure) 4. The modified 1M vs the Focus RS Heritage (can the N54 fend off a much more modern AWD hot hatch?) The SF90 vs 296 is always a surprisingly closely faught battle too, although I do wonder how the XX would perform in what is very much _not_ it's natural habitat

Not how it works. A bias ply prep will not work for a radial car. There will be next to no grip. He needs a radial prep, and it will not break the driveline.

I’ve seen a 296 GTS in kind of British racing green with the camel interior. It’s my dream car at the moment. If only insurance wasn’t so expensive. Don’t get me wrong the Mustang V8 rumble always sounds and feels good but that 296….it really is all the car you could ever need.
The difference between a muscle car and a super car is the same as between a normal muscular guy and a DC or Marvel superhero. In other words, there is no comparison! That's what a super car is! Super 👌💪
The GT500 is a fantastic performance Mustang for the dragstrip which I recommend changing to slicks after seeing and hearing how much your GT500 was spinning during your launch and removing the rear wing at the drag strip. It's also a Strong track car when using that wing on the track to improve down force. Considering the pricing difference The GT500 is a lot of car for the money. With some mods to the your Shelby. You can push its horsepower over 900 using tuners like Palm Beach Dyno. In His current U-Tube video. He was discussing tuning Mustangs that were being shipped to Europe. Great video with two special Sports Cars.
