If this video tells us anything it’s these 2 things: -If they can’t do much in terms of weight reduction, It’s time for Audi to turn the power up on the RS6… big time. -the new RS3 is a monster.
It’s one thing to have the power but you still need to get it to the ground and the RS3 is much better at it, remember even if you were to punch say another 100hp out of the RS3 the times might not change much as you start to get into power delivery problems. The RS3 is a pretty well balanced vehicle straight out of the factory
Also I want to add that Matt Watson drove RS6 and managed to hit 11.4 sec on 1/4 mile. And he also clocked the new 2022 rs3 in perfect condition at 11.98 sec on 1/4 mile.
On another channel 925motor, the RS6 beats the RS3. Not by much, car length or so, but doesnt get smashed as it does here. Name on the vid 'It’s so close between the new Audi RS 3 and the RS 6!'
The RS6 usually does around 11.4 sec on the quarter mile while the RS3 is around 11.7 to 12 seconds. Either the RS6 was in comfort or the driver did something seriously wrong lmao.
the only possible reason the RS6 was slower than the RS3 might be the fact that he might have not turned off traction control completely on the RS6, which makes the car slower
Theres 100% something not right, that exact same rs6 is used in the car wow rs drag race and it’s far quicker than the rs3! Maybe it’s purely down to the track conditions and would be a totally different story on a dry day?
Agree, something is not right. First of all I'm pretty sure the RS6 is NOT using launch control. You can see the RS3 build up power while the RS6 just sits there. You would definitely see some movement on the RS6 if launch control was being used
200hp more also makes it harder to get the power down, the RS3 is a pretty well balanced car out the factory and one thing I’m interested to see is when modding the RS3, if you make more power then how does it change performance as it will start struggling to get off the line

@@jamessamson3639 carwow drag races are fake, the new rs3 does the 1/4 mile in 11.4-11.7 but on carwow is always around 11.8-12 seconds also the rs5 beat the rs3 on the carwow video when everyone knows the rs3 is faster even the old rs3 was faster than the rs5, on carwow, he makes the races seem reasonable.
Either the RS6 is dud or the RS3 actually produces more power than claimed on paper as the RS6's P/W ratio is around 280hp per ton and the RS3 is 260hp per ton. So in theory the RS6 should have been pulling away from the RS3 not the other way round.
Very strange results considering the carwow video shows a completely different result. The RS6 beats the RS3 in both the drag and roll race. Even the RS5 beats the RS3.
@@silverathlon in the car wow video of all rs models of audi you can see the rs6 is definitely faster than the rs3. The rs3 kept up with the rs5 until very high speeds though so very impressive.
Nahh this can't be true because on another drag race the rs6 did 0-60 in 3.3 and the rs3 took 3.63. So ultimately its either the rs3 wasn't stock or that the rs6 driver was Letting the rs3 win
I have found that some Rs3 8Y actually perform better than others. Some journalists got 3.1 secs 0-60 in the RS3. So somewhere in Audi, the quality control guys seem to sending out over power 8Y.
@@Average_Bruh But still stock RS6 can do 100-200 km/h faster than the new rs3. Also Matt Wattson did 11.4 sec on 1/4th of a mile with RS6 C8, and 11.98 with the new 2022 RS3.
@@ron999 you can't use one run from carwow because even they get different times during different episodes. Because I am pretty sure it went faster than thatt in one of their video. The fact that their the performance time varies and no one knows by how much, it is impossible to specify what's quicker. In the theory, the RS6 should be faster because it has more power and torque, but it also has a few 100kgs more weight. So the power to weight ratio between the RS6 and RS3 might be closer than you think.
@@Average_Bruh Ok lets talk about autotopnl, they clocked the new rs3 at 9.3 sec 100-200, and 2 years ago they did 8.7 with RS6, which is somewhat a slow time, because the norm is from 8.0-8.5 for rs6 depending on a weather conditions. Also RS6 can do 0-100 in 3.4 seconds, same as some did with the new rs3, but other people did 3.6-3.7, as i said it depends on weather conditions.. All in all, rs6 should win but with small margin on 1/4 mile. RS6 cannot lose this badly like in this video.
If you watch Carwow’s drag race where they race every single Audi RS model, the RS3 comes last and gets spanked by RS6, the RS3 8Y is fast but not that fast
they aren't actually quicker in drag since manufacturers want to push the bigger car as flagship. the video clearly shows something wrong as official times for rs6 is quicker. But smaller car definitely wins track
@@caribbeanseas it’s a completely stock car and I don’t think you can do anything to it till it’s properly run in. The RS3 won and that’s what happened.
Wow it’s fast, BUT……that RS6 was not in launch control, you can see it in the rear wheel arches. Launch control completely change everything in the rs6
Please try it against an RS Q8, I saw how it performed in all out Audi drag race. That piece of aerodynamic inefficiency had an ace somewhere in its sleeve. Like your show though, mich appreciated.
Yeah look I dont think you could repeat these results with another rs3 vs a different rs6...there was definitely something off here BUT the rs3 is definitely rapid and will thrash just about anything....would love to see it up against a m4 xdrive
I love the RS3 and literally just put a deposit down on one today, but I’d be absolutely shocked if it could beat an M4 xdrive. That car is a beast Granted, I didn’t expect it to beat the RS6 either, but BMW nailed it with the current M3/4. That S58 engine is crazy good.

@@kevinles6703 If those M's dont have xdrive they wont stand a chance off the line. Having said that I still want to see a drive against the m4 xdrive...lets see
