I was really pleasantly surprised with Nymphia this week. This entire episode from her was such a departure from the yellow/banana brand she's pushed all season, but somehow her book was actually on brand, and more than ever. The backstory she gave provided an explanation for the self-doubt and insecurities that we've seen glimpses of in the werkroom throughout the season, and how she's starting to overcome doubt by using drag as a vehicle to find self-worth and confidence in herself. Her story truly captures a lot of the experiences that a lot of gay Asian men (And queer Asian people in general) feel, and has never been talked about before on the show (at least not in this sort of way!). This was the perfect ending to her arc and gives her good momentum in the finale. I'm rooting for Nymphia, but I'm not sure if it's enough to dethrone Sapphira - and I'm also not completely discounting the possibility of a Plane Jane win. Plane is the least likely to me, but the possibility is still there. This is a really diverse and tight top 3.

SO happy that it's a top three again. I feel like top 4 only worked well with season 9 and I've been ACHING for the show to go back to top three finales and it has finally happened. I really hope this sticks and isn't just a one-off.

@@sionellmccubbin953I enjoy when they started sending more than 3 queens to the finale, I enjoyed it even more when they let them perform solo original numbers it makes the finale not drag on and more entertaining, I hated when all they did was sit down and talk and that’s what they did for the first like 7 seasons and that always made the finale boring to me, like at least season 8 did it to where the final 3 lip synced a solo number , which is similar to the format they did with the original numbers , and I’ll be pissed if they go back to just sitting down and talking at this seasons finale, cause It just feels like a reunion show than a finale and I like it to be separate from the finale

You could say the Same about Kameron Michaels, Akeria C. Davenport, Kandy Muse, Daya Betty and Lux. Also some winners slayed the Finale so hard with less wins then the frontrunners, so you never know. But I am glad that WE Had a top 3 and not a lipsynch Smackdown (poor Marina!)!

I'm really flaggerblasted that everyone is saying "hey Nymphia isn't wearing yellow this time" when she did it like what... 4 times ? But Sapphira is still in blue and it has been easily 7 to 8 times already but I never hear anybody say something about it so I just am wondering why it isn't talked about ? What is making it okay for her to barely show versatility in her looks when Nymphia has done it very loosely but is getting some criticism when she's in yellow (she got some gnarly comments on her Makeover look for being in yellow when it's just making sense to wear it, just like when she did it in the branding challenge when she got criticized for doing banana yellow when well... it's her brand). What is the factor there ? I just want to know because I'm puzzled

Genuinely it’s because Saphirra shows and doesn’t tell. Nymphia mentions yellow in confessionals, in the werk room, in both of her verses, in her doll challenge voice over, that one time in untucked by herself etc. Because nymphia draws so much attention to the color and her association with it people are ready to point it out or grow tired of it. Saphirra just wears it and rocks it and doesn’t draw attention to it so it’s easier to miss or not notice.

I’m glad they’re doing the pre-taped finale again, I’ve never been a big fan of the live finales. They have so much bloat and feel like a chore to get through as opposed to being an exciting culmination of the season. I’d rather see the queens talk about their journeys in the confessional, have fun Werq Room moments and then do a little finale group number, whether that’s a Rumix or a music video. It’s short, it’s sweet, it’s the same format as the rest of the season and it gets to the point. I also think the live finale doesn’t pack that big of a punch because I know they filmed multiple outcomes so the queens and the audience are just faking their reaction. It’s there too in the pre-filmed finales but it’s less obvious since it’s just the girls in the finale and not an auditorium of hundreds of people. It just takes me out of it a bit. That being said, I don’t see anyone other than Sapphira winning. The story of the season has been her story from beginning to end. Nymphia and Plane did great too of course but Nymphia kinda disappeared in the middle of the season (edit wise) and Plane had a rocky edit so I think it’s pretty clear Sapphira is taking it.

Fun fact: someone on the who's who video said that mirage is potentially someone who could come back as a lipsync assasins (I think it was xunami?) anyways, that made not much sense to me at first since, you know, she went out on her first lipsync. But now that we know about this lalaparooza, it could lowkey be for that reason? Maybe mirage makes it far in the lipsyncs

Plane has established that she is a deeply guarded person (through life experience) who has immense trouble experiencing vulnerability. Her response to Q's status disclosure exemplified this: it sounded awkward because Plane FELT awkward. It wasn't malicious or fake: she literally doesn't know what to do with vulnerability, hers or other people's. We didn't learn anything about her in the book segment because she doesn't know how to tell us, because telling us would require her going into (and feeling) territory that she just can't.

I think they should've made them use the books from earlier in the season. Sometimes, as entertainers, one seemingly little moment can build the trajectory for the remainder of your career. I think it would have made it a little more of a 'real world situation' challenge where you have to build something off of nothing, or something you maybe didn't expect to be your starting moment. Think Monet and the sponges, Mo Heart with Brown Cow Stunning, etc. Challenge the queens to have to monopolize off their past creations. Sometimes old content goes viral as well, which you have to be able to do something with. I think current DR is really missing those challenges that show whether someone will have longevity in the field by simulating real world situations that entertainers go through and whether or not they can persevere through them or turn them into opportunity.

i really thought they were going to go with 4 into the finale. it seems more balanced that way. having 3 you know she's just going to tell nymphia that it's not her time and have plane and sapphira lip sync before she gives it to sapphira. mirage and amanda should do well in that lip sync. yea this was the top 3 i saw from episode 3. i thought it would be a top 4 and i had Q in that 4th spot which also happened.

I would love to see Amanda and Mirage come back. They probably wouldn't win against Morphine or Mhi'ya (they wouldn't let early outs win lets be honest), I would still enjoy their lip syncs. One or two dances each is all we need to fall in love with them again.

I got so excited with the Slay trailer, I even downloaded tubi, but it wasn’t available for Mexico 🥲 VPN time I guess 😅 If I may kindly suggest, now that there’s a little hiatus in DR seasons, would love to see you both react to a La Más Draga (LMD) runway. (Maybe for Patreon only?) Season 5 Episode 6 was an homage to Guillermo Del Toro’s looks where even the eliminated queens showed their runway looks. The runway for all queens is around 15 min. If I recall correctly you’ve mentioned you don’t care for telenovela drama, which is very much the style of the show. LMD main challenge is always the runway, where the queens need to incorporate a narrative into the look according to the theme. I won’t take it bad if you pass on the suggestion, very understandable with all the amazing and substantial content you provide, thanks again! ❣️❣️❣️

Yall need to cover the Roscoe's Tavern drama in an upcoming episode. Comments are in an uproar as to how they are now only releasing the full episode to their paywall viewers, the monday viewers are getting an edited down version of clips/highlights and viewers are upset. Q and Loosey's episode comments are very upset with the change, would love to hear yalls opinion on this. My view is that this has always been a free content for viewers, its not like a podcast that has full episodes behind paywalls from the jump. They recently added the $2 to get the episode on friday/saturday, while others would get it on monday, but I think they have overstepped now with the reduced video of only clips from the viewing party.

I do think it was kind of shady that ru seemed to be helping everybody with their posing except for Q who came in and Ru was like "so what do you want to do?" That doesn't excuse her weird title and stuff but I think RuPaul could have gotten a better pose out of her with a little bit more direction like she gave some of the other girls

Yeh,But in the end they are bringing up how moreless plane doesn't have much of a personality in drag and straight faced and gave her great critiques to,Ru is not going to Crown a Queen that is that CONCEITED!!That's why He always says remember to remain humble and plane said in her own words,She is not humble at all.Safèera is a seasoned all around talented Queen and checks all the boxes and it's also time for another pocket to Win in my opinion,Plus She's just the ONE!!🎉🎉❤

Plane did really good in lip sync in some moments and at least knew all the words in time,cuz Q didnt unfortunately. I caught it a few times but She was good to.She shoulda googled and wTched old performances and all and studied up on the singers .Plane sit back watched a couple yrs.found the key to winning alot and pretty much sailed thru a few knicks and then they let Her moreless know SHE HAS NO REAL PERSONALITY.AND SHE DONT,EXCEPT BEING MEAN.I THINK THAT WHOLE UNTUCKED CRYING MOMENT WAS ALSO PLANES PLAN TO SHOW SHE HAD A HEART SO FANS WOULDNT HAYS HER OD PRODUCTION!
