Apparently RU-vid algorithm picked up on my last two out of context videos so I thought why not make another one of the best season and force my friends to watch it again? Enjoy
i think a reason this season was so refreshing is bc british humour is largely about self deprecation but in the us version people feel kind of full of themselves ???
I have a feeling thats part of the reason ru flipped at the h&m dress. joe was saying being self depricating but ru maybe took that to mean joe was saying atleast its h&m or that h&m was better than asos?
@@rannierunsfast obviously it's because of the fans🙄, they don't want the unnecessary hate that Silky, Eureka, Brita got so they're super careful of what they say.
@@rannierunsfast They’re given prompts by the producers to create storylines and are far more heavily edited than previous seasons. Whoever edited for BBC did so much better than whoever’s doing the storyline and editing production for WOW
@@traffiquejamm1780 that's true and it's so sad that the fan base is creating an aura of self-censoring around drag, drag Queens have alwaya been the ones pushing boundaries, being bitchy, hilarious, dirty, outrageous, vulgar, rude and offensive.
I don’t think production expected us to like awhora as much as we did lol. We lived for her! And she had the best track record at the time of her elimination. And should’ve won 1 or 2 more challenges.
producers really wanted her to be the villain of the season but she just rolled with the narrative and turned it all in her favour. honestly my fave queen in s2
@@nao543 btw it also depends on which region of russia is she from, bc there are literally asian/turkic ethnicities in some parts of russia. I think it's more about whether she's Slavic or no
I thought she was just a tanned gal in and out of drag? Either way she’s not impersonating or caricaturing a Black person. She’s painting a darker tone. Is that still problematic? I think she’s only painting more and more darker to hide her age.
The way Lawrence yelled "YES IT IS" @ 1:40 always brings out a good laugh in me. That whole scene of them trying to make her say it differently was my favorite part of the episode 🤣
I will never find peace until I figure out which actress Ru was thinking of... I feel like I have the same impression, Bimini definitely does look like an actress from a 00s movie... something with the same vibes as Mean Girls, 13 going on 30, Freaky Friday, Princess Diaries, Legally Blonde etc.
RuPaul getting angrier at Joe Black for wearing a H&M dress than at Scarlet Adams for doing blackface/yellowface/god knows what else for several years is... interesting.
ESPECIALLY considering this was after months of lockdown when bunch of queens sold lot of their drag in order to keep the roof over their head. And Joe Black being one of those queens.
@@TheReySkywalker doesn't change the fact that it was extremely classist and tone-deaf for RuPaul, a multi-millionaire whose wealth has only increased during this pandemic, to condemn a contestant on her show for selling her clothes for the competition just to afford food and survive. Television show or not, fracking or not, that was plain wrong.
I wouldve been happy with any of the top 3 winning, but I think Tayce was shat on hardways. She shouldve won ep 1 and been the solo winner of ep 5, and I think she looked better than Awhora in ep 3. She only shouldve lipsynced for the unconventional materials challenge
@@hi-ve1cw yeah, i don’t have a problem with anglophiles, but michelle is way too extreme lmao. to the point where she acts like she knows better than yknow, actual british people?
