For some reason I didn’t realize that UK S3 came out this quick, because they had a 7 month delay on S2 due to the pandemic. It’s still quite amazing we are getting a new season so soon.

I love everything about this episode, Divina is glowing and Yuhua is rocking the red and blue. I am so happy for Victoria it was about time we got an afab queen on a season of drag race, i really hope we'll see more diverse drag artists in the future (like drag kings and people who don't fit into a specific category).
I think the problem for Veronica, everyone came with such elevated luxe, and her prom dress was beautiful but in comparison it was kind of plain. I mean river was a butterfly, and Eleva day looked like a showgirl
When I realized I’m older than DDC my face cracked like Jan. Love hearing the support for AFAB and alternative performers from both of you. It feels gross that Victoria’s queerness is downplayed just to focus on her being cis gender by some people. I took the yellow and purple as jam and butter on a scone. I do wish there were more diversity…how has there not been a Queen of Indian or Pakistani descent given the diaspora in the UK. That being said having looked at Instagram and other performances…Victoria, Charity, Ellva Day and River Medway are my tops. I also heard Veronica’s dress was made by her mother for her sister’s prom; the sentimental value makes it slightly less meh.
Bussy Queen addressed the lack of diversity in one of her recent videos. In short: $$$. One queen of color said something like, "No, I haven't sent an audition tape, because I don't have the money to get a competitive inventory together." There is a lot of AR (Augmented Reality, think Instagram filters, and apologies if you already know this) fashion. It would be nice if there were a space for drag queens to explore using that. I'm sure there are many queens who are have more talent/creativity than money. They need a place where they can learn and grow without having to spend lots of dollars.
Divina is so right. in the UK half the queens you see in bars are 40/50+. So many talented, polished, hilarious, queens who have paid their dues. I like the young ones too, but these standard bearers for traditional British drag deserve their moment, and would be amazing TV !
Professional drag artists, no matter what gender they are or were, are valid candidates for drag race, in my opinion. The key point is that they work as drag performers. Biological women who work in bars and clubs as drag performers are judged by their audience - if they’re good, they get booked again and again. And if they’re good drag performers, why are we talking about anything else?

Vesta Tilley was the highest earning woman in the UK in the 1890s and was a drag artist. Absolute icon. It would be amazing to see Victoria give a little nod to Vesta on S3!

For me, personally, I LOVE seeing an AFAB Queen, let alone one as bold and brass as Victoria Scone. I'm a demisexual cis woman, but growing up my dad wanted a boy so badly, and since I was his only child (and by my own nature as well), I was always a huge tomboy and had always felt really uncomfortable with the idea of really anything feminine. It honestly took me watching Drag Race season 3, and seeing these men become these BEAUTIFUL women, and not being any less masculine inside while showing this beautiful feminity at the same time, that helped me accept that I can be both masculine and feminine at the same time, or different times, and it doesn't make me any less amazing. Also, I finally learned how to do my make up in the WILD and BRIGHT way I wanted, that wasn't (at the time fully yet) that was in style for women either. Hello and good bye to my raccoon eyes with pencil black eye liner. I've always WANTED to do Drag, as both a King and Queen, but in the US and Texas, I wasn't sure if is be welcomed, at least on the Queen side as a Cis female
Hello! From Rochdale! A tiny town in Greater Manchester where Veronica Green is from! Honestly it’s a really rough area *I personally don’t care and have been out since 14* I completely understand why she moved to London though, no gay scene whatsoever 😅. Just wanted to say veronicas Mum made that dress for her daughters prom when she was 16, so Veronica wearing it is a tribute, Also she isn’t judged on it on the main stage, so I understand why she used that dress, to have a tribute without any repercussions :). Agree it wasn’t in today’s taste though 😅
I feel like people aren't picking up what I think is quite clear with Victoria Scone... her look is a scone mama... The yellow/gold is a scone, the purple is jam, and the white hair is a dollop of whipped/clotted cream. Her name is Scone, she's dressed as a scone. Sis haha
I totally get what Davina is saying about the older queen's. That is what drag was when I was growing up. But unfortunately the issue is whether they would fit RPDR because it's been designed to be about being beautiful and fashionable and a lot of old school drag is intentionally not that
I do believe charity's look was inspired by the game series, Spyro, but nonetheless, they had my favorite look here! Truly a transformation in DRAAAAG. She needs to win this season ❤

Vicky Pollard has an exaggerated Bristol accent, River Medway is from, well, Medway, north Kent which is near me and she sounds VERY north Kent (we never see anyone from here on telly so it's really exciting for me!) Also hey RU-vid there were at least 6 ad breaks in this 32 min video and it's starting to drive me a bit nuts!
i really have a problem with the show only getting young queens, like Divina said, there are amazing queens that are not getting the chance, and in recent seasons of US they are like a charm just to say that only one or maybe two queens can still participate, and don't talk about the representation this UK season
