Good video! I had an '02 883R with a 1450 kit in it, added a solid fork brace and the same steering stabilizer. Really changed how the bike handled, didn't wallow and bounce around in corners anymore, stayed on track. I think I had mine set to +1 stiffer from the mid-point. My bike had aftermarket turn signals that were mounted right above the lower triple clamp, so I put my stabilizer clamp right underneath the lower triple clamp. I've read that the angle between the two mounting points should be as flat as possible, so that helped. It's definitely a functional improvement.
I am considering getting this same part after this college semester. I was just looking at the catalog for dragspecialties online and there is a lot of great stuff on there for this model. wish they had progressive rear shocks on there though. @@EngineeringGoneWrong
I added a Daytona steering damper on my 2018 48 as well. I really enjoy it but it has lost quite a bit of its dampening, probably from the accident I was involved in just over 2 years ago. I'm thinking I am going to order an Ohlins damper and use the brackets that came with the Daytona kit! As for the black rubber gromet thingy on the tank bolt, the best trick is to just replace every single bolt on the bike with 12 point ARP nuts and bolts 😂
I was tossing around going Ohlins too but this one caught my eye. Seemed to be a good cost/quality ratio we will see how it holds up. I am actually in the process of replacing a lot of hardware on the bike at the moment I am rebuilding the top end right now and putting a Hammer Performance 1275 kit on!
