WOW! Nice! I have to compliment you on how you go through your gears. I hear so many guys shift every 3 seconds that I want to scream at them!!! You really do a nice job of winding through the RPM's.
@gotocov The black thing in the sun is a video artefact, caused by the sun being too bright for the sensor of the camera to record as white, so instead it records it as black.
Looked a lot less painful then my highside out of T4 a month ago. But the cam is OK, thats sweet. Just lost the front, dam it! Looked good and fast up to that point.
i would also like to say theres two types of riders: those who have gone down, and those that will. rippin up the curvy roads, track days, endless close calls, and the only crash ive had was at 18mph around a corner ive proly hit 75 around. dont be TOO safe, its no fun and you'll crash anyways.
Agreed.... fucking cool video... This guy shouldnt listen to the Haters that run theirs mouths on youtube... half of them dont know how to let the clutch off and even ride a bike. and to the rider.... keep grinding those bows... jajajjaaj Happy Motoring
@lego720 nah the severe road rash was actually on my thumb. It just surprised me because even though I was going fast I slid over only a short part of the track. My path of travel was primarily through dirt haha
Hope the bike didn't sustain to much damage. It didn't look like it was to bad of a low side. Lucky you didn't get clipped by another bike, that would have really sucked. Nice view of the elbow dragging.
yeah, you see in the slow-mo that when u did the elbow touch, it messed with ur steering and thats when you lost it. i hope the bikes ok, lol... real riders always ask that first. lol. good video minus the wreak.
First of all: I like, that you're doing this stuff on a closed track. Second: I'm only driving a Honda X-11 and never were to track before so my question to you would be: Do you actually not use the clutch shifting up? Or did I just see wrong. I know that this works and how, but I'm always clutching to prevent wear and tear ... do you have a high consumption on clutch discs?
Did you have weight on the outside peg? I bit in turn 6 because I did'nt have enough weight on the outside peg. It sounds like your rear started to spin up.
sorry mate, but I think if you had maintained normal body position instead of trying to force the elbow down you woulda been ok.. By the way, how did your gloves hold up, I had the same ones until a 120 mph lowside at turn 2 of jennings gp on a duc 916. i lost some skin and a little bone in that, your gloves do ok?
whatever, if i could elbow drag id do it around every corner. keep trying it. if i stopped everytime i crashed something (motorcycle, atv, car, suv, bicycle, skateboard, unicycle) i wouldnt be good at anything. got knee drags fine last year, and i would like to drag an elbow one day. you cant try something like laying almost your whole body on the ground while a machine is speeding next to you that youre barely attached to and expect it to work out every try. fuckit. rideit. crashit and getup.
sorry uraspec1 but i have to agree with sv tristan. if u would have maintained ur previous body position before dropping ur elbow u would not have lost maintenance of your motorcycle. ur knee seemed like it was all that the bike needed to maintain your leaned posture. ur elbow seemed to create too much drag and ur entire body posture while dropping ur elbow created a top heavy scenario which when both combined created a faulty scenario.
You do know how to ride. you have a great ride style, but you tried to show off for the camera, and thats what killed you. Mad props for draggin knee on almost every corner. being ablet o drag elbow is cool, much like stunting, but it will almost always lead to a crash. elbows are meant to stay off the ground, otherwise they would have elbow pucks made standard on all suits. Again, a great video.
Looking at the Video, you could ride. But people like you shouldnt ride, because all you did was try to show off, put your body position in a fukup area and extended your shoulder wayyyyy low. Just hope your okay thou
