The DRX is the newest creeper from Draggorossi Kayaks. This is the tenth whitewater kayak from Draggorossi, and for the first time they are keeping up with the Dagger Code, Waka OG, and the other top of the line kayaks. I paddled the DRX for two months before releasing this review, and it has been absolutely spectacular.

Getting access to Spade boats is very rare here so unfortunately I have not paddled it. She would probably want the DRS over the DRX. at that weight she may also like the Zet Five

I wouldn't draw a straight line from one to the other. The Code is halfway between the DRX and a Phantom

Just picked up a DRS over the weekend. I felt a confidence I'd lost paddling the Zet Five.

Definitely a much wider boat with a lot more volume. That is probably most of it. You effectively went from a small medium to a full on large

How do you compare this boat to the Dagger Code

The DRX is focused on being a really stable, reliable, and consistently high performance displacement hull. The Code is a high performance semi-displacement that is very forgiving, but also focused on being dynamic and sporty

So nice to see a "comeback" from Dragorossi. Just back from Futaleufu where some of the safety kayakers paddle DRX. Seemed to handle it 🤙

@@AlexBarham Puffy Steeze would be my choice. Paddled a large Code on this trip and it was just ok. All that rocker is nice but I missed the edges of my Puffy.

The Code has soft chines, but they are still more pronounced than the DRX. The Code also has that load-and-go stern which the DRX is more typical of other designs

Great question. Machno is a little lighter on its feet, and maybe faster, but DRX is the workhorse of the two
