"Rewards received: Enhanced Belt of Health" I see the Hero of Ferelden's habit of bribing people with worthless junk she loots from corpses is still going strong
Alistair, you can't just go around saying "Maker's breath" like that. It's dangerous. Every woman in earshot winds up weak kneed to the point of falling over.
Steve Valentine ❤️ BioWare could've not chosen a better voice actor for Alistair. Idk what was the deciding factor, but they nailed it. For everyone, really! But especially Alistair, Morrigan, and Wynne. Their voices just FIT with their respective characters. I adore the Dragon Age series, but Origins will have a special place in my heart ❤️
I don’t give a fuck what I have to do, but I’ll never make a collection of choices that will lead to me having to choose between Alistair and Hawke. Like… I literally think that would do something negative to me, mentally. I’d like to call myself a completionist, but there are lines even I won’t cross. :’)
Alana Marie The first time he said 'Something you need?' to my inquisitor, i just thought 'fcukyouboiwareyoustudpidheartwrenchingpeopleomgimissalistairandmywarden'
I notice everytime he talked about the Romanced Warden, he sound so wistful and hurt. It kinda makes me sad. Even if I don't believe in 'Happily Ever After', I wish there was such a thing for Alistair.
Umm, he sounds wistful and hurt because he hasn't seen her for almost a year and misses her like hell? He also said that in the years at her side (before that) he had been happier than "ever thought possible." But yeah, I want them to find a cure and have a happy ending, of course. They deserve it so much.
"Maker's breath, but I do miss that woman." Bioware you better bloody make another DLC or put the 'end of the calling' for the plot of DA4! I want my Warden to be with Alistair again. ='(
Noooo! I can never break Varric's heart and kill Hawke. Thankfully, Alistair was not romancing Hero in the world history I chose. He sounded really sad being a warden and all alone...
My Warden was apparently too friendly with everyone. Every romanceable companion assumed that they and she were in a relationship. I had to never talk to them again until the ending in order to keep them at high approval levels.
I made a save where Hawke is lonely, not friends with Varric, and messed up everything so if be able to sacrifice him. Every other save he love Fenris, and when I think about the end of DA2 I just CAN'T. So, either Alistair is king, or Hawke sucks a// lmao
@@isbammoi3358 Yeah, this is why I made Alistair king and my warden Queen. This conversation is cute af, but I could never decide between Ali and my Hawke ToT Thank the Maker for Warden Stroud x')
I’ve tried, believe me I’ve tried to play the game differently but every time I replay Dragon age II, I play as a male mage and romance Fenris. Adds to the drama and to the plot in politics with being a mage. I tried romancing other characters but then I give up and end up at that stupid moody elf’s front door thinking, “well, shit.” I couldn’t sacrifice hawke in inquisition after Varric kept saying, “where’s hawke?” And the fact he has to tell Fenris. I know DA2 gets a lot of flak but I got very attached to those characters and my hawke had a close bound with his party like a family, Izzy a sister. Especially how after everything hawke does, in the end he still looses everything he worked hard for and is on the run again. Depending how you play the game, he had no blood relatives left. All he has is his friends and love interest. So no, I couldn’t sacrifice him. “Where’s Hawke?”
@@rosegilliland220 Wait he has his sister or brother with him, just like a cousin and an uncle, so he does have some relatives, but yeah, Alistair must know about her love as a king. I do wonder if they will reunite again in DOA 4 since she never said a word, would be interesting to see that.
I betcha that Cullen would try to comfort her before she (tried and succeed) at killing the killing the Inquisitor. Because Amell was his crush, he was practically obsessed with her in Kinloch Hold so..... yeah, he'd be upset that she was upset.....
Ehhh if I had to choose between Hawke or Alastair I don't know. My Hawke romanced Anders so ya know, it's all fun and games until Anders blows up skyhold.
Skyhold? LOL I get it now. For me it would be Fenris.. I couldn't ... move past what Anders did on the first play through. I was dating someone in rl who betrayed me in a somewhat similar manner.. couldn't do it. So I didn't allow it to stand on the game. I kept him alive, he had to make amends, but I couldn't stay by his side. Fenris mess up once but didn't get anyone hurt in the cross fire.. he treats my Hawke so much better.
+Nohemi DeLeon To be honest, I think Fenris needs a relationship more than Anders. Someone needs to help him with his bitterness, that's why I always romance him as a Mage. Show him that they aren't all evil, just to be treated with caution. Anders already has someone he has to deal with all the time, no need for more.
I see your point, but for some reason I am drawn to Anders, plus I find Fenris exhausting. Itry to sympathetic, but he is always upset about something, I literally can't make a decision he agrees with.
There's no way I would leave Alistair in the Fade. I really felt like my Warden was me, and I would never sacrifice him. I liked Hawke, but I didn't have as much of a personal connection to her as my Warden. Although, I always make my Warden Queen with King Alistair, so that's not even a problem
My canon was/is always a Warden!Alistair worldstate, because I think he deserves better than to be a political pawn and free of the shackles of his heritage to live his life the way he wants. Anyway, I have no trouble leaving Hawke behind, bc I headcanon that she gets found later etc. Also I am way more attached to Alistair and my Warden than Hawke, so it was not even a (hard) choice for me, tbh. I just hate how manipulative and contrived that choice is, because narratively it makes no sense at all and is just shitty drama for drama's sake, ugh.
Arianna1012 I always just have him marry the Queen. She had experience, she’s technically the rightful heir, what with her original husband being dead, and Alistair seemed sad at first, but apparently got over it and became enthusiastic at the thought of learning to be King
Right..It's decided, if I have a warden Alistair and romanced Warden...and I have this scene, I will be leaving Hawke in the fade....but first I'll be playing DA2 through again and making Hawke into a colossal asshat and non-romanced XD just so I can save Alistair and not feel bad XD
rhema-beth Boalch it seems an interesting choice: Shall you save an old friend, or preserve a part of yourself? Each character in these games are another part of you, and you must choose to either give it up to save a friend, or preserve it at the cost of one.
@@NinjaFlibble alistair can stay alive and become king even if you spared loghain, as long as alistair is hardened. dont know if the warden can become his queen or mistress when loghain is spared, though
"But I'd do miss that woman" Awwww...how sweet! I don't know how long she is traveling, but that is really nice to hear. Shame, there is no Zevran version...bute we know that Zevran travel with the Warden, so...
Its quite interesting isn`t it? How Zevran ends up becoming the most Loyal companion the Warden has. After all hes the only one(And maybe your hound if s/he is still alive) that goes with you on your quest to cure the Calling. Alistair is either here with the Inquisitor, in Denerim as King, in Redcliffe after Teagan brings him home from Kirkwall, or dead. Wynne by this point would probably be dead seeing this takes place 10 years after Origins. Leliana is (obviously) here with the Inquisitor. Oghren was last seen with the Wardens in Fereldan before disappearing from the story. Probably dead. Sten is back in Par Vollen or dead. Morrigan is busy being Empress Celene s Advisor Loghain is either with the Inquisitor, or killed by Alistair/Warden. Shale is somewhere in Tevinter, so maybe we might see her again in DA4? Anders is either in hiding or dead Nathaniel is the same as Oghren. Valena is Maker knows where. Sigrun is the same as Oghren and Nathaniel. Justice is the same as Anders.
@@Lvl1.Sentry . Not at all. First of all, is not about loyalty at all, if Warden Alistair is not with a romanced Warden is because (as you could heard in the video) both of them had important matters to attend that couldn't wait, it was the Warden who urged Alistair to stay behind. Both King and Warden Alistair have responsibilities, unlike Zevran. Second, Zevran is only with the Warden IF he is in a romance, otherwise, Zevran is still escaping the crows by HIMSELF, he even crosses paths with the Inquisition in a chain of War Table missions, or as you mentioned with the others he can also be dead. Yes, Wynne is not probably dead, she IS dead, she died during the events of DA Asunder, the woman Cole speaks about that sacrificed herself to save Evangeline is Wynne. Also, about Oghren, Nathaniel and the others, you cannot really say if they are truly dead. Actually is very likely that the Awakening Wardens (those who remain with the Wardens, of course) are travelling with the Hero of Ferelden in the quest to find a cure for the Calling.
I really hope in a dlc or maybe even the next game we actually get to SEE the Warden. Seeing all the characters from the old games is nice, but I won't be satisfied till I see my Warden with Alistair one last time :/
@@khm8910 Well, for one, that would cost much more time and money. Plus the voice actor for the Male Experienced voice died soooo. If anything, I would be glad to have the Warden be like Chell or Gordon.
thank FUCK i made Alistair king. Dear lord, if i had gotten this scene I don't even think there would be any other consideration just, "NOPE BYE HAWKE, SEE YA, NICE KNOWING YOU OKAY GET IT IN THERE"
+Airadelle I would feel so bad for my Fenris. I can't. .I just can't do this f*cking...option ultimatum. F*CK THAT. Alistair shall remain King XD. Hawke, will remain alive.. Sorry Strauss..(or Loghain?.. if possible).
+roxisrandomvideos wtf. How can anyone kill her? I always sacrifice Stroud. I can't imagine how Fenris would hurt if Hawke was taken from him. Hawke is my fave also. I love her so much.
I love those details cause this is the same choice I made in da:o but I really can't get over how Alistair looks nothing like himself lol... his entire face structure is of a completely different person
i really hope they bring back my warden commander and we get a game about her journey to stop investigate the calling. The Alistair romance is by far my favorite romance of any game i've ever played to date. He's such a sweet heart, so loyal and honest
It just screams possible DLC. I will be muy disappointed if I don't get the chance to at least attempt to end the Calling. I need this victory in my veins!
I couldn't after I saw how much he came to care and be able to rule as the best of kings. But I wish I could just scream him the truth about his mother ;^; so close... yet so far...oh Redcliff..is always a mess in there.
I made the decision to kill Hawke easier by turning her into a complete a$$-hat (Aggresive), not befriending Varric or any of the allies, rival romancing Anders and killing him using Dragon Age Keep. My Warden and Alistair deserves a peaceful and happy ending. The way he say "but I do miss that woman" made me all a-tingle. and he sounded so much happier by the end of the dialogue.
So the Warden deserves a happy ending, but Hawke doesnt? Even though they technically suffered more than the Warden did. After all, if your a dumbass like I was, you got Hawke s whole family killed in your first playthrough. If you want that happy ending, make Alistair King, have the Warden become Queen, then sacrifice Stroud.
@@Lvl1.Sentry Yup. That was my first playthrough (Alistair as King and Warden Queen). I used the Dragon Age Keep to create the story of an Aggressive Hawke without actually playing through DA:O, DA:A or DA2. Also, I stopped playing the DA:I with the Aggressive Hawke backstory a few minutes after killing Hawke. I couldn't finish it. 😅
i romanced alistair in my first dao play through and kept him as a warden, and with hawke i romanced isabela, so when the time to choose between them came in dai, the only thing i could think of was, “if possible, could i just sacrifice myself??”
I really, really hate the sacrifice decision. I refuse to lose either him or Hawke, so I'm basically locked into making Alistair king in Origins, even though I'd rather have him remain a Grey Warden with his lover the Hero of Ferelden. Wish there was a way to choose who our Grey Warden contact was...
drumtap2792 That scene was a perfect set up for a boss fight... I hate decisions when you do either that or that. Like with Kaidan and Ashley, Mages or Templars - no friggin' way round!
See, I am late playing the Dragon Age series. Like REALLY late. But thinking of all my romances in games, I picture Allistair and Cullen in front of me but then Garrus just pops out of space and does his archangel thing and I might just go with the Turian. XD
his voice .... shivering ....heartbreaking Q_Q god dang the amazing voice acting ! and gaaah when i make alistair a warden hawke is soooo going to be a evil person with no friends and innocent blood on his/her hands ! ooh and no romance
Being in love with Alistair as gay guy sucks big time! I now that David Gaider said this in the social.biowar site: "As someone pointed out, Alistair has no sexual experience with *anyone* by the time the game starts -- that doesn't necessarily make him gay, but it certainly doesn't indicate that he's strictly straight, either. Alistair received conservative teachings at the hands of the Chantry, I imagine, but it's an institution he's rejected. I'd say overall he's a fairly open-minded, sensitive guy. A relationship with someone he trusts is not that over the top. "... however using mods to do the story of your dreams it saddens me. I prefer to think that my headcanon is just like the love story of Xena & Gabrielle, two partners who have been through thousand of battles and experiences who fall in love to eachother... Anyway, I think the ultimate sacrifice ending for my male Warden is more compelling and fitting for my impossible love story and delightfully tragic in a way. My heart broken. You ladies have so many lucky :) I hope my headcanon does not draw homophobic trolls, I hope.
I remember when Inquisition came out, I was just about to finish Origins again, about to leave Alistair as a Warden, because is the path that he seems to cherish most to continue on. Then I stopped by Game Stop and the clerk told me about the sacrifice choice ._. It seems everyone who had previously purchased the game could not NOT talk about it. x,x The spoilers... I could not believe it. I was so conflicted at first, but eventually I chose, that if I should ever proceed with that choice... I would have to put Hawke down. With all the sorrow in my heart, I’m sorry... I can not lose Alistair. I once tried sacrificing him to the archdemon and it was too much for my sensitive (as$) 💔 so nope... never again.
I dropped Stroud like a hot potato, but that would've been a much harder decision with Alistair as the warden. I would've dropped stupid scraggly all-wrong Hawke instead.
10 years past and Alistair always said "Swooping is bad". That Fade Spider swooped in and forced you to make a sacrifice. No one listened. Between Alistair and Hawke, life questions exist. Stroud and Loghain though, I'm keeping Hawke alive.
Damn, now I truly regret not sending for Warden BEFORE HLtA - that way Alistair never knew about her progress ... And now, the Warden will kick my Inquisitor's ass not for just losing Alistair but also for letting him die before he received the note. I'm a bad bad person (curls on the floor and cries)
wow. the thought of having to decide between a romanced warden alistair and hawke.....then again, based on dialogue in da2 when hawke and flemeth are talking on sundermount, i suspect that hawke survives somehow if you leave them behind and we'll see them in da4
Alister vs hawke is the hard decision, when its hawke or stroud or hawke or logain the decision is pretty simple. But when it is alister and hawke then the decision has some real weight
I couldn’t let him live past him and all the treachery, for whatever reasons he may have had at heart, he still tried to kill me -.- He deserves to go down, and stay down. I may do it one day... for the achievement 🤔
With all the ways the stories and characters can interact there better be a damn good thing for dragon age 4, whoever we play as. Seeing the warden, Hawke, the inquisitor...all the party members we've known for years. Except for anders who deserved his death
In my story, Alistair became king, but this was before I knew that, in the DA Keep, you can't have the Hero to be Queen and a Mage at the same time. It turned me off to discover my mage Aphrodite suddenly turned into a noble Rogue and her story changed. I had to accept it, for I wouldn't start it all over again JUST to repair this one mistake
How is anybody meant to sacrifice Alistair after that? OMG, and he was so eager to not be king in Origins. Now I just wanna travel back in time and tell him: "Shut up and get your ass on the throne!"
I got the feeling that "forever this time" refers to both Alistair and HoF dying together. I always found that Alistair in DAI sounded sad. I get the feeling that even while knowing the Calling wasn't real (this time anyway), that both our favorite GW are on borrowed time and they know it. Still, I wouldn't leave Alistair in the Fade. I will always keep HoF and Alistair together.
First playthrough I did Alistair got abandoned in the fade; despite all the awww how precious moments. I have no regrets. I had to do it whilst I was strong enough to lead the darling lamb to slaughter. Hate me if you must but I need to experience every possible outcome in the DA universe. Yes, afterwards I blubbed like the woman I am 😭!
Honestly I am glad I almost exclusively make Alistair King in one fashion or another so I never have to make a hard decision in the Fade. The first time it came up I had Loghain or my personal DAII Hawke, it was an almost instant choice for a Warden meat shield. Second time was Stroud and a default Hawke and I left Hawke to see what happened (but I save scummed because Stroud is boring and I felt bad for Varric).
The reason the hero of fereldan is gone is so dumb. It makes him/her look like a huge coward because while everyone is fighting to try and save the world the hero of fereldan is trying to save their own skin.
I didn't take it that way at all - all of the Warden's in Thedas are hearing a calling, including her, so she's trying to find a cure and more information about it. If anything, Inquisition taught us just how important her mission may be. This wasn't the game to bring the Warden back, this was the game for the Inquisition, but with how they ended it, I imagine the Warden will indeed be coming back for DLC's and/or cameo's next game.
+SwissKiss I am against all fanfics with the Warden in DAI because I'm afraid the Warden would be possesed/taken over by Coryphues, which happens to be like a huge issue. But at then ending of DAI, feel free to bring them back.
There should be a collection of these - one for each romance ending for the Origins. After all, you can end up with Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan and Zevran... And i only saw the with Alistair and Morrigan.
I think maybe this is because of the fan service, they are the most popular LI in the DAO(for mhof and fhof). Or because they don't have the time and energy to create more branches. Alistair and Morrigan are like the default LI, and they have a huge influence on the plot, which even carries over into DAI's main story. I always felt that if the DAO was adapted into a show, the default spouse of the hof would be Morrigan/Alistair (depending on gender).
I'm SO glad Alistair is king and married to my warden. In my playthrough, they are happily married and still in love with no risk of Alistair getting left behind to die. On top of that, I won't have to sacrifice my Hawke either. I feel bad for leaving Stroud behind, but I just can't leave Hawke or Alistair. If that was my choice, I would have to stop, replay all three games again and make my way back to the point where neither Hawke or Alistair will be sacrificed. It's either that or cry into a bucket of icecream. :'-(
I have a feeling the Inquisitor is going to be deader than dead whichever choice (s)he makes in the Fade. The Warden/Fenris/Anders/Merrill aren't above starting a bloodbath to achieve their goals, the Warden especially so because of all the crap she had to go through to keep Alistair alive. Anders has already started a massive bloodbath and so has Fenris, and Merrill nearly destroyed her clan to achieve her goals. Nope, I think the Inquisitor is doomed.
3:14 ,,...only to lose him to your inquisiton" Me , inquisitor : Hawk , go die . I know what shit I did in Origin , my Inquisitor WILL NOT survive Origin-me !_! if I let Alister die
