Inquisitor: I still don't believe, and going forward this burden will be mine alone *This Song Plays* Mother G:Faith may have yet to find you but it has already found them My favourite line that i heard from an NPC in a rpg game
Ow yes... you mean mages freeing themselves from the oppressive views that the idiots of the chantry push upon them. Yeah real fanatics for wanting some damned freedom -_-
@@xgaladrimx I would say the Chantry was mainly at fault for what happened but the Mages aren't innocent, complete freedom for mages was always ridiculous mages without proper training are incredibly dangerous and some precautions should be taken but the Chantry went way too far.
I thought of it as reinforcement of my view that we needed to start believing in the world we live in now rather than squabbling about the next one. Didn't make me cry but I definitely was moved by it.
Yes, me too. A very emotional moment in the game. And even though we don't live in Thedas, we can still relate to it. All people have probably had periods, where very little or nothing functioned in their lives; their family was not working, maybe going thru a diverce, jobs not being good; getting fired or feeling stuck on the same job etc. Then we can - if nothing else - draw courage in the simple fact that tomorrow there will be a new day. The sun will rise, and new opportunities will possibly present itself.
Shadows fall And hope has fled Steel your heart The dawn will come The night is long And the path is dark Look to the sky For one day soon The dawn will come The Shepard's lost And his home is far Keep to the stars The dawn will come The night is long And the path is dark Look to the sky For one day soon The dawn will come Bare your blade And raise it high Stand your ground The dawn will come The night is long And the path is dark Look to the sky For one day soon The dawn will come
There's apparently a theory that "the Shepard's lost and his home is far, keep to the stars" verse is a Mass Effect Easter egg. Which would be cool if it's true.
@@FlithyPhill probably a ME3 reference seeing as he/she was lost when Earth fell and they kept to the stars and away from Earth on search of help to take back their home Which, now that I'm thinking about it, doesn't make sense as Earth is essentially finished and there shouldn't even be anyone to go back to on Earth. Being that the giant space cuddlefish annihilate anything and everything.
I don't know why but everytime I listen to this song it sends shivers down my spine and I feel sad and happy at the same time. This is true masterpiece.
I wasn't even RPing in the game, but hearing this from all the others after... well, what happened shortly before this... I think I briefly forgot I wasn't ACTUALLY the Inquisitor because DAMN did I feel the faith and responsibility of the people under my charge
When ur D&D caharacter return to his bornhouse when his evil brother is teh lord who is a mafia boss to.. and your hero stand at the house, start sing, and the guards join into it., and everybody sing for the change, and for the beat of the big brother....
When i first played the game i thought after i closed the breach that was it so when i played the misson I was kinda dissapointed how it started but then i relized. The game was just getting started
It's exactly when it start to fall for me. No more mage vs templar conflict, we are back in Origins but worse, now go out and do hundreds of shitty side quests not related at all to the main plot.
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. The world behind and home ahead, We'll wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed!
The alexius time quest fallowed by your heart shall burn in battle is one of the quest sequences I've ever played. Seeing haven get destroyed, the people dying around you, what you worked for get absolutely demolished. Then you essentially go on a suicide mission just so the people can flee. Them need the elder one.. Easily one of the best villan introductions I've ever seen. Them the fallow up that leads to this. I won't even lie. This has tears in my eyes when I got to this scene
this is the video game equivalent to descent into mystery from batman 1989. It isn't just giving you the main theme of its material, it is GIVING you its material in song form. EVERYTHING dragon age is in this song
This song is a masterpiece and as we all face our darkest days and the trials and tribulations let this song be reminder to those who are going through life's hardest times that a new dawn will come
I've only ever wanted to get tattoos of things that are very meaningful to me, like a waveform of my kid saying "I love you daddy", or something like that, but after finishing this game I'm strongly considering getting the lines "Stand your ground, the dawn will come" tattooed on me. Something about those lyrics rings true for me.
I just started playing this game since it’s on EA play, and so far I’m having a blast. This was my favorite cutscene so far and the main theme is incredible!
the creative artist responsible for the scene in the aftermath of haven actually commented on one of the other vids of this song (its pinned if you want to try and find it) he said he was worried for months that this scene would be cringy and out of place but he was thrilled when he saw how many people loved it.
@@Whoami691 since my comment I have played the game (plus all DLCs) multiple times over. This scene never ceases to give me chills. One of my favorite RPGs of all time.
Been years since I first experienced that scene, and yet still, every time I get to it, I get goosebumps! That's how you make a series defining moment.
I would love a trailer with this song with all kinds of religious depictions of the chantry: Scenes of chantry sisters and mother's cradling incence at kneeling templars in the Chantry, blessing them for the upcoming battle with evil. Mother devine blessing a holy relic used by a famous templar that once fought a blithed demon. Templars marching with some sisters holding chantry emblems. Lelianna kneeling in front of the Urn of Sacred Ashes during a chantry expedition, turning it into a yearly pilgrimage. A group of chantry mothers exorcising a cursed graveyard or something. A world almost destroyed by the blight, smoldering towns, where early signs of hope and the return of civilization comes in the form of Chantry sisters bringing food and blankets to hard stricken regions of Thedas.
No matter how many games I play, this one will always be my favorite. Everytime I play I get reintroduced to this world and feel like a part of the world and always get emotional lol. Number one game don't @ me XD
If you listen and read. You find out that at the end of his life he heard the song being sung and chose to believe that the inquisition could bring order after the divines death and havens destruction. Cole outright says something along this line at Skyhold.
I love it so much buddy! Good job. But I'm not gonna lie, you missed a huge opportunity of getting the beats down right after they stop singing. I feel like that would have a much greater impact. But than again it's just my personal opinion ^^
I'm just now getting into this universe. When I started this game I wasn't connecting with my character like I felt I should. But then....reach this part of the game and when the lyrics started it completely caught me off guard. It put me in this universe. These people are depending on me. Actually made me emotional. I love how perfectly placed this is put into this wonderful game.
Anything a parody of the Abrahamic faith is between funny and awe-inspiring; much like the Christian and Pre-Hebrew chapters, our definitions and stories gives wisdom to generations. Live, Laugh, Love and Learn. My philosophy to you.
I loved this game, the only gripe I have is that I was unable to import the decisions I made in 1 and 2 over to Inquisition. As as result I had to play through the 'default' game. When I was finally in a position to import everything, the website had been taken down.
Hi I am from the future a little late but I just wanna say the only thing great about dragon age inquisition is this song amazing song it made me cry...beautiful shout out to Bioware.
Though this breathtaking piece originated in fantasy, I cannot but envision it as the revolutionary anthem of a new era. Its flute solo is like a summons from the Birds of Rhiannon, urging us to rise up and defend our Mother Earth before capitalism kills us all.
Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him, He won't cast you away from Himself if you come to Him. He calls us all to repentance, He knocks on the door of our hearts because he loves us and wants to save us. when you do believe and the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit and have His salvation, you will become a new creation (John 3:3-19). God bless
