Well... The German version "Höhle der Löwen" has litterally billionairs sitting there, much more successful than the dragons of the UK version. Carsten Maschmeyer i.e. has a net worth of 1.2 billion Euro whereas Peter Jones, the richtest dragon is worth about half that at 500 million GBP.

The reason you harvest water at the bottom of the roof is that you get the entire roof's surface area to provide the water. This is very inefficient harvesting, but maybe it's enough for Ireland. But in most places, this product does not make sense.

@@kavalogue Incorrect - there is no law to stop you collecting water in Ireland - You can use it directly with little filtering for toilets (50% of water usage) and for your washing machine. To use rain water for other uses would require more intense filtering

Ngl, in Belgium our water supply is very limited since we're so densely populated and now they're about to increase the price for the heavy water consumers. I see this becoming a real problem in the future since it hasn't rained for so long + it's not gonna rain for 2 more weeks

Been paying for water here in Australia for as long as I can remember and what about the weight of the tanks inside the roof? 800 litres plus the tank is over a 1000 kilos.

I think its illegal to harvest rain water in my country or at least there is a big tax on it. Water will become a resource of wars in the future. I also think that government can easily screw this business when they introduce some extra fine for water going out

If people are collecting their own water, then putting it into the city sewer system, the city will have to charge that much more for what water they supply to make up for all the harvested water that they now have to deal with going into the sewer in any case. So no cost advantage.
