Being a member of the Ginyu Force sounds like a lot of fun and Ginyu himself os even more endearing when you’re on his good side. I can see why Jeice, Guldo, Burter, and Recoome all love and respect him so much.
Yamcha is arguably the most entertaining and interesting character, his self awareness from how he always has this cool guy act going to when he talks about how he wants to settle down and how hes scared to die alone, these are things we as the audience didn't even really know.
You know, they did an excellent job with the characters in this. I know Frieza is gonna rule over everything and is definitely not a good guy, but like, Captain Ginyu's offer to join the Ginyu Force just ends up actually coming off as really endearing, and Cell's comments for his special link actually feel pretty gratifying. It's kinda strange how they can be so deliciously evil, for lack of a better/more fun phrase.
Neko .Meridian This makes sense, seeing as thougn Frieza's technically the most evil of the villains, him being a sociopath and all. Cell just has an overwhelming sense of pride. In fact, that's actually his only vice; he's not really truly evil otherwise, just the type to boast a lot and to show off; he'd only try killing Goku and Vegeta due to a destroyed pride. Meanwhile, there's a reason why Ginyu's force loves him. Ginyu's only considered evil due to his absolute loyalty to Frieza. He's otherwise not really someome you'd not want to hang out with.

@@KarjamP Cell killed millions of people in a horribly gruesome manner, and then decided he wanted to destroy the Earth simply because he didn't personally have any need for it anymore. That's worse than Frieza. Frieza at least has rules that you'll probably be fine if you abide by. Cell will kill you for no reason at all.

Therefore, Frieza won't just kill unless he has a reason to; contrast this with Cell, who does so solely because he's a narcissist. Not that it actually changes their reactions to each other, though; Cell would still find Frieza to be more vain than him...

Goodness, both the villains and heroes are just so heartwarming. You’re either cringing, facepalming, laughing, agreeing and wanting to hang out with them more. There’s the odd disagreement here and then (coughgotenkscough) but this video is so nice to listen to. My favorites are Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, Cell, Frieza and Captain Ginyu! They’re so motivational in their own way.

Not to mention, before you even see her "support conversation" (as I call it) about this, she clearly states before hand in a cutscene that she at least remembers having a husband and son...the son being based off #16. Meaning...he was a man when she was human(addding about 20 years to her age at the minimum). Short to the point, she's WAY older then 10. She's 10 years as an android PLUS her age as a human.
II really like 18's Voice Actor, she sounds cold like an android. But she subtly shows emotion where it counts. Also the facial animations in this game in amazing

Yamcha has my favorite dialogues. He seems to be sad about how his life has been going so far, but he also tries to keep it together for the player. I just want to be his friend and give him a hug, tell him "everything will be alright", y'know?

It's so endearing and lovely that despite how evil the villains are (possibly with the exception of Ginyu, cause most of the reason he's viewed as evil imo is his utter loyalty to Freeza), their conversations and personalities in the links still make them feel like people, instead of just "one of the villains". And man, I've never understood the Great Saiyaman more. I really wanna join the Ginyu Force now.

I do love how Krillin is talking to the player about why 18 married him, when it's easy to see why she did-- A, she loves him, and B, he won her over the moment he showed her how kind he is, and how he cared about her well-being so much, when he destroyed the self-destruct remote _AND_ his wanting to wish to have her turn back into a normal human, but then removing the bombs in her and 17.

27:07 I'm not sure if this is a cardinal sin, but in the anime/dub, Vegeta never referred to Goten by name. It was usually "Kakarot's boy" or "the youngest son of Kakarot". Although I do remember Vegeta saying Gohan's name during the Super Perfect Cell fight.

I think Uub would be the most logical player character here, since he is both human and has a powerful legacy having once been Majin Buu. Since Majin Buu also had the talent for learning the powers and skills of others on the fly, Uub would have this too to a lesser degree, which makes sense if he controls the bodies of other fighters and learns to use their skills. Uub's humanity would make him relatable to the heroes while his subconscious Majin side makes him appealing to the villains.

My personal headcanon is that either the Earthling Soul actually belongs to our custom hero from Jump Force, effectively making Fighterz the prequel the JF. My other headcanon is that the Earthling Soul isn't actually an Earthling/Human Soul at all! In all of DBZ, a Soul, human or not, was never represented as an orb of golden light, their souls always resemble themselves when they were alive. Being a Ball of light is an oddity with the established look of actual Human Souls. As for the linked characters, they're very inconsistent with the Soul's appearance. Most say it's a Human and has no gender, others say it's a Male or Female, and might actually be a Saiyan! But, it's neither. That's because the "Earthling Soul" is You, the player, a being from another dimension no one could ever hope to reach! Essentially, you're basically an Elder God/dess. You are, to the Dragon Ball multiverse, what the Scarlet King is to the SCP Foundation. However, in the DB Plane of existence, you exude so much power that in order to combat this, the dimension has to work around your intrusion somehow, and it does, creating a Vessel to contain your essence, hence the golden ball form. Basically, you're so powerful that everything in the DB universe, even the gods, sees you as one of the weakest beings in the universe... And of course, since you in your home dimension control other characters in different dimensions, you have the ability to possess other characters here. TL;DR: The Earthling Soul is either the soul of our custom character in Jump Force, or you're an Elder God so powerful you look deceptively small and weak in other universes. Basically a case of Azathoth looking like SCP 999.

I've gotta be the only one that's a little peeved that they spelt "Whoa" correctly in one of Yamcha's scenes, but then they spelt it like "Woah" in another one. The perils of using multiple writers for one character, it seems.
Yamcha lines are one of my faves, he used to be one of the OG Goats, somewhere he lost the motivation and his edge but I wish he was taken more seriously in the current timeline, guess its never gonna happen since he wasnt even a part of the TOP :( and now its impossible because the lastest arcs exclude the rest of the cast.18:58 Bro I really miss Krilling beating ppl in a serious fight :( I like that quote
So i do kinda wonder, considering Goku's power increased just from experiencing Super Saiyan God, would you suddenly realize a potential for Ki, sensing it, and have a better sense how to fight once you end up back in your body? Being the unfit fuck that i am, that'd actually be pretty neat, save from trying maneuvers that would likely break my limbs...though maybe the ki would make up for that. This whole linking concept is pretty fun to think about. :P
Really wish they gave these to ALL the characters, including DLC, rather than just the one's you play as in Story Mode, aside from 16. Why doesn't 16 have any Link Events actually? Is it because he dies?
Yeah. Would be a waste to get links for a character you lose. Though getting links for DLC or characters not in the story would be awesome. Trunks, Bardock, Hit, 17, Jiren, Gogeta, Kefla, Baby and Roshi would all be really interesting to talk to.
