This! I love Baby, he’s the best part honestly, the Shadow Dragons arc had so much potetnail but besides the last 3 Shenrons it was wasted. I love the idea that because they misuse the Dragon Balls of amazing and the ending where they lose the Dragon Balls is the best ending, but the execution to get there for over 60 episodes doesn’t make it feel satisfying to me

No he didn't, he destroyed part of the earth to make Goku desperate then told him if he dodged this next one would destroy earth to make him get hit cuz he was faster and was dodging all his attacks . He said nothing implying he was even trying to destroy earth the first time let alone that presuming he was is utterly nonsensical as most he did was k*ll many of his servants on tsufuru while trying to hit Goku , blowing up earth just for laughs not only loses him a planet worth of infected but also doesn't do sh*t to beat Goku .

And i will always appreciate it for giving the character the respect he deserves not leaving him at the babysitter joke he was turned into in dbz. This is what GT does doing things right while being realistic , i'm not too crazy for some flowers and sunshine ending as long as they keep the character honourable and make him matter they've done a good job , again not to mention way better than the piss poor job Buu saga did.

There is zero reason why he (or anyone else) couldn’t just do the same thing, which would have prevented the black star dragonballs from reactivating ever again unless another Namekian went out of their way to specifically bring that particular dragon back to life. Hell, Piccolo could have just been absent through the entire show and that would have been leagues better. Just have Gohan make an off hand comment that he’s glad Piccolo is doing some business on Namek and isn’t around for all that nonsense. I stand by my statement that one of the writers just had it out for Piccolo. At least in Super, even when they’re making Piccolo a comedic character they still gave him have his own moments of dignity. And unlike in Z, Piccolo chooses to be a mentor and trainer to students who respect him rather than have the responsibility foisted upon him to deal with two brats because they were out of options.

You literally would need a Namekian with the exact same level of darkness as the original son of Katas had come to earth specially to revive that particular set of dragonballs. Even though there are other dragonballs that are easier to use, and if he has the power to revive a dragon, he certainly has the power to create his own set of blackstar dragonballs (which would actually be far easier than any of the above) because it requires the same level combination of evil and magic. So he’d have to be evil, powerful, AND insanely stupid. Or simply wish Piccolo back to life, which makes his sacrifice even more pointless. GT basically manufactured an asinine object that makes no sense to exist, and then had Piccolo fridge himself unnecessarily because no one could be bothered to remember the source material. Then just to add salt to the wound, they let him be trapped in Hell because of bureaucratic nonsense that King Yemma couldn’t bend the rules, even though he has before for people who are far less deserving. King Yemma let Vegeta skate Hell just in case he was needed to fight Buu, even after Vegeta murdered hundreds of people earlier the same day. But GT Yemma saw the chaos on Earth, had a noble warrior volunteer to help out and decided he couldn’t be bothered to authorize a hall pass. I can’t think of a worse way to spit in Piccolo’s face after all he sacrificed. I literally couldn’t care less if they had just left Piccolo out all together in GT. It would have actually been a step up to what we were actually given. Dignity is having the quality of being worthy of honor or respect. Toriyama saw his favorite character’s spiritual journey and rewarded him. After years of hatred, struggle, and loneliness, Piccolo is finally given a loving family where he’s a beloved figure in. Gohan and his family want him around, depend on him, and look up to him. Just because Piccolo’s life is more humble, doesn’t make it worse. He still gets to fight villains, even if it is not as grandiose as before. And it is a life that Piccolo chose for himself; He’s free to walk away anytime, but he chooses to stay. He built his home purposely close by so he can be near the Son family, and he volunteers to train Pan when she shows interest in fighting. I feel sorry for anyone who views a long happy life of love and family as being a step down or undignified. You’re right he’s much better off fighting villains who can never die over and over again without rest or peace in a Sisyphean labor for all eternity. I’m sure that won’t get old after a couple billion years🙄

Goku was literally knocked out of the ssj form and getting choked by Mutchy when Trunks blasted him so hard he was never seen again , Goku literally says he thought it had to be something when Trunks got caught in Rildo's attack implying he's not weak enough to after he revealed it was his plan to investigate Dr Mu's secret , beat up Luud with Goku and forcibly pushed Baby out of his body , Goku couldn't even beat Luud by himself and needed to exploit his weakness with Pan , they all finished Rildo together and Trunks threw away an unsuspecting Golden ozaru baby by his attack , punching his chin up while he was on guard . Goten bullied Baby's strongest state at one point in base , then Gohan schooled baby Goten in base . Vegeta is stated to be the strongest of the saiyans on earth by baby right after taking over Goten and that he'll beat Goku with his body too . He states again he's even greater than Gohan in the fight while getting bullied by his ssj form , even after Goten comes and they use a special technique making it hard to sense their positions due to living ki trails with similar signatures behind he still bodies them by just charging ki harder . Then Uub comes out of training in Baby arc when he can't sense Goku anymore , equally clashes and pushes back Super baby 2 slamming him into a wall while he says he's interested in his power making him by miles the strongest after Ssj3 Goku got bullied by ssj Baby Vegeta , as Majuub pushes him around to the point that eventually he had to inflate his muscles like the grade 3 ssj form to win the beam clash and beat him . And ik characters were simply left behind in power after Baby arc till Vegeta ssj4 but still Goku himself was getting rekt by Oceanus till Pan figured it out and overwhelmed her with a kamehameha from above stopping the attack , that's when Goku even got the chance to join and finish her together . " not saying anything unpopular " and that's supposed to be a proper reasoning for it ? Buu saga is longer than all of GT yet it's more Goku time in comparison . The only good characters who get stronger than Goku are Gohan by an asspull magic , Gotenks and Vegito . In GT Vegeta is implied stronger in initial baby arc , Uub gets stronger too and in the end Vegeta finally catches up unlike Buu saga Vegeta being left in the dust not even getting ssj3 let alone catch up to Goku's level , and of course Gogeta 4. And don't bother mentioning some sh*t like Majin Vegeta doing something to Fat Buu and getting himself k*lled instead cuz he didn't even beat Ssj2 Goku without cheating let alone ssj3 , by that logic all the instances of characters being shown competent to the current greatest foes upto Baby arc massively outweigh this . Let alone if we start considering how much help the other characters have been outside being a direct threat to villains , bringing back characters like Android 18 being a key contributor in defeating the main villain , the kais absolutely carrying baby arc , and how is Piccolo with less screen time treated way better in GT actually getting sh*t done everytime he shows up compared to the babysitter joke in Buu saga ? " Baby not a great antagonist " depends on ur standards i think he's among the best ones so either he's one of great or nobody in db is . And this is an interesting way to go about it why gaslight most of the instances characters heavily changing stuff to " inconsequential " saying even the clear downplay is nice due to screentime then consider the one episode obstacle being a significant antagonist ? It's ledgic , Mutchy , Luud , Mu , sigma force , Rildo then the main bosses and the dragons wdym para para brothe- 6/10. In transformations " Super saiyan 4 carries " and that's why it's 9/10 . Not only they have their priorities absolutely straight showing ssj strong again putting it right back at the second place behind the newest and strongest one but ssj4 itself is very well done deserving that 1st place . Best narrative especially for Goku by far , well done introduction, design , treatment , and abilities that get developed or emphasised on upto the shadow dragon arc. Baby's forms are the next best things and overall other villain forms are fine . Dragon balls - " feels too much " is too much of a personal conditioning thing when this series is THE one that gives this ability to ask for wishes the most weight . Also why does the length " only 64 episodes " get considered to call something bad but not when we're trynna say stuff like " Goku time " gaslighting several instances of other characters getting their good moments ? If anything the involvement of dragon balls in this series was perfect , working hard to get them then have heavy consequences to using them and showing a proper hint to them getting an anomaly as they get cracked throughout Super 17 arc then being part of the villains in the final arc . This is a 10/10 . It's not too much involvement just because somone is used to way less , it's the proper amount and well done involvement. This again , dbz Vegito had a piss poor iron man repulsor beam knockoff as his finishing move by that same standard , literally not even worthy of being called a finishing move let alone " big bang attack " , so his case looks so bad graphical improvement wasn't even enough they gave him entirely game original finishers . Simple rule , u do not play the games first then go to anime , games make almost everything better .

One piece before the pre timeskip Is alright but after the time skip things just get absurd quickly and litteraly has no reason to still countine even after decades. First DBZ parts like the Namek Saga and Sayian Saga were great but the Cell Saga was enjoyable even if it has too many plotholes but after the Cell Saga Dragon Ball as a whole just goes downhill. Buu Saga was the worst DBZ arc ever it straight up has too many plotholes and most of the characters were done dirty especially Gohan. DBS and DBGT were straight garbage from story telling perspectives but the fights were the only thing enjoyable for the two. OG Naruto was one of the greatest anime I've watched, good characters, good story and good fights overall. Even though It's not perfect it still is great. Begging of shippuden was atcually was atcually good until Pain Arc. After Pain Arc Shippuden just wasn't that great anymore and then lead to War Arc wich is easily Narutos worst Arc ever. Too many plotholes and too many things just don't make sense in that Arc and considering the title of the arc is called "WAR" Arc, you might think some of the main characters atcually might die or it could of easily been a sad or a traumatic event of the Naruto universe but NOPE. Only Neji dies in that Arc like what about Might Guy?? Or Kakashi?? Or Tsuande with other kages?? Is just a dumb arc in general and Boruto isn't any better. And One of my favourite characters is Superman and Krillin isn't even touching him lmao, Superman solos they're verse 😂

it’s super without the amount of good moments that super has and super just has more enjoyable characters in general, I think it’s a sweep if we count the manga tho

@@True_EditZ1 I totally forgot about that part but wasn't that in the baby saga, I'm only referencing the super 17 saga and trying to find its redeeming qualities though not GT as a whole but if we're taking it as a whole if you ask my opinion some of the good outweighs the bad, but it's freaking GOKU TIME none of the other characters not even ss4 Vegeta gets a moment to shine cuz they're all in Goku's shadow

I really love gt a lot as a kid and don’t get me wrong but … rewatching the show from the first arc about gathering the black star arc + super 17arx and most of the shadow dragon saga arcs are the worse arcs I’ve watched. People can dog pile dragon ball super dragon Z dragon ball but at least those arcs felt way better to watch than whatever gt did. Like the black star dragon arc started way too slow with little to show for until they released the organic robatic bosses that pop out one after another and didn’t really feel like any villain ( till baby arrived also metal rildo). Also the super 17 arc that itself is just terribly written that I need an easy to write how bad a marathon of that arc was… but the shadow dragon arc was just terrible. The first 5 dragons all felt filler arc characters that one of them almost won but lost due to a rainstorm . The big portions of shadow dragon saga weren’t good to watch till the last 3 shadow dragons left standing. Mark did a fantastic explanation on GT that really personified how I feel about it. Gt is a great show to watch with knowing it’s just continuing from dragon ball Z and not being a show that stands in itself . Dragon ball super felt more of a show that stands on its self and not being carried over by dragon ball z . Also a big issue with GT is the lack of any side character development and not utilizing them. Like giving goten a more playboy character that gets series or uub becoming more of a support character … yet they just left him as side character with no payoff. Pan herself wanted to build her to be independent and not having to always saved didn’t really become her self. Instead she was always used as a character that got goku trunks into issues and predicaments

Nothing there is new and just a dumb strong robot. What do you mean filler arc characters? It is a filler show overall (the first 5 Shadow Dragons). DBGT is a continuation of the movies timeline. Therefore in a way it is canon just not in the main timeline. I heard what Mark was saying and some is good yet some I disagree with. I will have to rewatch for telling you what exactly. I actually like what they did with Goten. Pan was mostly annoying, excluding the fact that she in one point saved some lives. The robot forgot his name is okay. I don't like what they did with Trunks. As for the main villains/antagonist let's review- Ledgic (mediocre) G. Rild (excellent. The guy defeated Goku fairly) Baby (best GT villain) S #17 (F that guy!) and lastly Omega Shenlong (F boring MF).

It's true though , " few " no brother , there are some very important similarities and where it changes the execution just takes it downhill the moment Goku black himself turns into some bouncer on payroll for the only passable in origin Zamasu instead of him being the only threat in spotlight following up on him becoming a different person in a different body, then fuse into becoming a more annoying whiny version of the same , then get his physical body destroyed by a ssj2 but with blue aura form high on spirit energy then get despawned by a purple blue baby . Baby arc is a great play on the themes love vs hate that is executed well with Goku and Baby's whole journey alongwith introducing what is separately the best form of the franchise let alone placing it perfectly in the narrative of this arc being the exclusive thing to beat Baby . It's almost the opposite of black arc starting with nothing and working upto greatness , but even in the beginning baby wasn't as much of a joke black arc became in the end . That arc had a good beginning that just spiraled into a dumb mess . Just admitting facts isn't toxicity .
