True , I was actually thinking they were going to add this mod, and not replace it for the old one.... The porpuse of having some carectheres in the bench for support is lost At least for me, because I don't have a 6 caracthers of the same tag strong enough for 2 wins, I have to use some caracthers not so ideal for fighting for support/bench That's how I did my teams from different tags because I lack caracthers And now I feel like not even playing it to he honest, and I was about to start to save for the anniversary and skip the new uncomming ultra, But now I don't know if I will continue to play, maybe I will avoid PVP for a while, maybe they will bring back old pvp because many people are unhappy, but I doubt it
Remember There is nothing stopping players from purposely throwing the second match and going with the team they want. You only need 4 good characters on a team.
Eh I don't mind, unless you play once a day it doesn't really make a difference, now you just gotta fight 2 fights at a time getting double the rewards
I've had nothing but fun matches so far so I'm really liking the mode. I can see why it replaced PVP on the first season, they probably want to collect as much data from the mode as they can, and making it the default mode is a sure-fire way of getting that data. Man, Goresh was really bullying that last poor player. 😭
One thing i really like about this mode is how it actually helps the player improve mid mach having 2 fights means you usually have 1 try to learn how your oponent plays and then try to out play him by exploiting his weak spots forcing both players to be a little more aware of their own moves
A lot of people will probably use the zenkai bench units in the first battle with one unit that carry’s and the second round you use the best characters and if you win, the third round is pretty much the standard rating match
Did 4 matches so far and it’s probably a hot take but I think this mode is enjoyable ( at this moment ) being able to use a full team instead of just 3 units and having to build the team around them while playing a best 2 outta 3 is pretty fun
I actually enjoyed it too. Before I was playing against the same team over and over like bruh why am i fighting s17 with 2xzenkai benchs and the next will be ult gohan with 2x zenkai benches or uui and the cycle repeat. But now if the opp used his best 3 units the 2nd match will be a completly different match so no zenkai benches. Its good for diversity but shity cuz you have to farm equips and to actually have 6 playable chars from the same tag.
I enjoy this mode. The battle of pride is pretty sick and the bonus for winning the battle of pride is pretty nice. I also love the soundtrack for battle of pride, almost makes me want to throw every match to have a chance of playing BoP.
@@八雲藍-y2jYea but normal PvP was more “F2P” friendly cuz yu only have to grind up 3 units and then have the rest just be bench. For proud you have to grind up 6 characters all with good equips to make it work
Well there is actually like treasure chest, pride match, lbr and training so that is 4 But it only replaced pvp as a tester this season, toshi said so, I want it to be an option if not ranked match so we can get rp through it
The good thing about this mode is that even if you go all 3 rounds and you only win 1 round, you still get points for the round that you won. if you win 2 rounds you got full points around 160+. but other than that, they should make this as a separate mode.
This idea is fun (so far; no issues on my end) Just wish you weren't forced to play this mode I however really enjoy gameplay when teams aren't zenkaid to death
Great idea, just needs to be worked out some. Make it so both parties can decide if we rematch. Maybe make all 3 fights 120 timer counts. Using all 6 units isn't a problem for those of us who have played for a long time or for those who actually focus on 1 or 2 tags.
both parties deciding to rematch will just make it the same as regular pvp. Why would the winner rematch if he can just win the first match using the same 3 bm and 3 bench
@zangvang Even if I won, if it's a good match, I wouldn't mind running it back. Lowering my chances of running into goofy people lagging and things of such. I mean, most other fighting games rematch feature is set up this way.
I actually really enjoy this new gamemode, the feeling of fighting in the battle of pride and gaining RP, even if you lose, is actually great. I also feel like longer matches is a good change to the repetitive system we've been using for the last forever.
@zenpai7 oh let's see. Facing dudes with 14*star units twice is a fantastic idea. Facing players who play hella passive is good as well. Old PVP was way better. Don't understand the fun in this.

Guys, this mode will most likely be a separate option later on. Its replacing pvp right now to draw interest/get peoples attention. Replacing main pvp for one season is not a deal breaker nor is it a terrible decision 💀
Not "most likely" toshi literally said it would be added in late February and replace ranked mode as a test and then if they need anything to fix they will and it will be seperate like battle royale, meaning a different seasonal mode
Next unit we get for lf or ultra will be the god blue bros. Just like it shows in the proud match screen cause that’s how the Vegeta was shown we were looking at him for weeks before announced
IMO, the only people that are really complaining about this are the ones who want to use the same 3 units all the time and they are the reason PVP is stale in the first place.
i just wanna play one match after work lol not 2 to 3 its a cool mode but it shouldnt be replacing the main pvp system not all of us can sit and play this mode all day
I think that this type of rating match will further increase the gap between f2p and non-f2p, as to have a high-performing team you will no longer have to have just 3 new characters and you use zenkai bench to boost them, but the entire team must be good characters and at most a few zenkai lf. I don't like this addition. What is your opinion about Goresh?
I don't think it should be a separate mode as to me, this mode separates players that are actually good at the game and players who units carry them through the game. If you give players the option to play this mode vs standard, most going pick the standard mode as it's easier to just slap super 17 or Beast in the leaderslot and just dog walk everyone. Just looking at the subreddit, this is exactly what people are complaining about; now they can't just put a broken unit on the team, and just zenkai buff them to the max like previous seasons. also it brings variety into the game as you have to use other units and it brings viability to some of the 1% sparkings who get their plat equips as they're not just getting oneshot by the top three constantly.
Yes but what you don’t realize is, p2w players will always win these matchups having full teams of 14 starred recent LFs instead of the average player with a bench of 7 star or higher maybe even 14 star old zenkais, they don’t compete with newer fully maxed out lfs, the old rating match system allowed people to use whatever stars they had on their new lfs and zenkai buffs to help them compete with the meta/p2w players, that system and concept is completely gone now that u have to build your team evenly with good characters all around not just zenkai buffers, and what happens when the good characters all around don’t have enough stars because u can’t afford to have 6 ultras or lfs at high stars but then u run into goresh with all top tier units at 14 stars? Do u just accept the loss??? It’s dumb very dumb

Bringing 6 ultras/LFs that don't go on the same team is going to result in those units being a glass cannon or a wet noodle as their not getting any z-abilites Also, this mode allows people who do have those old units to actually thrive as now you're not going into back to back matches against the same top three units that one-shots those units. For example, why do you think the 1% spankings equips are bad? The answer is usually they're bad because against units like UUI, Beast, super 17, they can't do anything. Now take those units away for a match, and that 1% sparking can now shine as it has a chance to actually fight instead of just die to an instant rising rush. In other words, f2p players that have focused their teams and didn't do the just summon for the top unit thing benefit and thrive in this mode.

The only thing that beats their z abilities in value are zenkai z abilities, and there are many lfs still better than the 1% sparkings/zenkai that do in fact fit on the same teams, u can make a whole saiyan team with broken lfs/ultras and if you are p2w you will have high stars and u will indeed in fact still have the advantage over the shitty 1% sparkings/zenkais no matter what you say, p2w comes out on top, they, at the end of the day have more variety and accessibility to the units you need to compete in this mode, u will never ever see a p2w player use a very average zenkai unit just for the sake of using them when they can and will put a power crept LF or ultra with high stars, there’s just no reason to use anything but that, why do u think half of the players who play this mode just win the first match, forfeit the second and play the third???? They can’t compete with teams with more accessibility, ur perspective is from low tier gameplay, when your up in the ranks against the top players you gonna run into crazy teams, and if u think ur 1% sparking/zenkai is gonna put in crazy work against a full 14 star team of lfs/ultras you are dead wrong
Imagine being matched up against a player that lives at the other side of the planet and being obliged to play a second ultra-laggy match otherwise you lose
The main criticism people have is they already dont like playing pvp, and want to quickly get to the next match. So this mode conflicts with people wanting to move quickly, despite getting more RP in this mode.
I do think you’re right, to me at least I only do the PvP match cuz it’s a mission on the daily stuff ( I know I could do a boss battle instead) but same reason I can’t be haste to play those mode, they take time, especially against good players
My issue is that like spoken on in the video we are forced to play this game mode I would have liked to have this alongside the rating match been playing it a lot and some opponents are annoying I would rather just have to play them once and win to be done with it but if you win first you have to play them the second time
I actually like this concept a lot and the structure is good... but it reaaaally shouldn't replace the core ladder. This is a mobile game, and forcing longer combo matches is pretty aggressive. It'll scare a lot of people away from playing edit: just have it swap out with battle royal and we're all good, I'd say
The fact that the matches between each round don't count as matches played is pretty bad. Also, one of the positives of this mode is that it will this disincentivize players to not disconnect in the middle of the match. The other one is that if the other player knows that they're getting beat very badly, they will probably forfeit and then not continue the second match just giving you the win a lot easier.
Well this proud system is good and bad at the same time, good because you have to actaully think which characters you will pick in first match so that you won't be screwed on a second match. You can't be just carried by one unit for whole thing since second match you won't have it. Bad because playing 2-3 matches with same person when you want to have match, next, and so on not 2-3 matches, next. It takes way more time.
The mode seems fun but because of how long the matches are and seeing that I only grind for specific units and equipments, some of my units just wouldn’t stand a chance and I just don’t have the time to grind for better equipment. I just no longer have the time to play pvp. I enjoyed the one and done match and now because of this new game mode I’ll lose the rank I worked hard to get over the seasons and have to start at rank 1 or eventually just drop the game. I hope they bring back the old pvp and just make a new game mode for battle of pride
In the vegeta and 16 reveals and stuff toshi said this would replace ranked at first as a test in late february, then they would fix anything if need be and it would be seperate and not every season like battle royale
I wish this was a separate mode instead of a permanent mode because you won’t be able to zenkai buff your characters and bring your three characters only
I think it would be a lot better if there was just a normal rematch feature where your battle members aren't limited so they don't even have to bother with a new mode, honestly. This seems like overdoing it.
Mixed feelings about this mode, previous one was disaster for me after six or more losses I still fighting against opponents like 14* Beast Gohan, UVB or *14 S17 or other LL unit, opponents always have perfect charging, timing, perfect vanish or 999/998 dual impact, it's day one well see...
I like the idea of this Proud match and its really fun mode but it's should have been seperate as a special occasions mode maybe . As you know its really annoying 🙂🗿and already miss the old ratings match.
Can you guys confirm that it'll be for this season only? Starting from the next one, there'll be both available: normal pvp and proud (too long for me btw, and Toshi please we already struggle to have 3 decent characters in a team, 6 is too much lol)
You do realize you don't have to use zenkai buffers, right? Teams like movies, Unirep, regen, androids, gt/dB, and future have plenty of units that you can use. So many of yall are so used to just bringing three broken units and steamrolling everything that the idea of building a full team is like the second coming of the FSK meta.
I'm surprised they released it as standalone honestly, no doubt in my mind it will be released alongside normal rating in the future. Also no doubt in my mind I'll never play this mode as long as the rewards don't get multiplied at the very least by 3, since it's taking three times as much to play a single match 💩
