Since they are adding a character for every transformation, like in fighter select screen we saw a row of Vegeta with different transformation. I think the full roster will be looking at 90 characters, hahah
@@フランクランドン I do know that we have a early version of it, however since fighterz that we have the same version of a fighter was not reduced to one fighter only. the same will happen to this game. I don't think that the final version will be something different in terms of fighter selection like we have now, IMO
@DavidPaz-py6zw the other forms of each character are shown in the information display so i don't think it would be like that, although its still weird they are showing the characters in such a way, hopefully this isn't the real select screen
@@DavidPaz-py6zwTransformations do take one slot of the rooster, yeah, like in Tenkaichi 3, but they're not entirely separate, in the first gameplay we got of goku vs vegeta they both transformed.
Yeah and this kind of selection screen isn’t even necessary. I’d rather they have a standard one where you can pick your character at the same time. I’m hyped for this game but it’s crazy how we’re taking a step back with these limitations

For all the people talking about Hercule / Mr. Satan not being able to fly, I don't think he can in this game either. It looks more like he's "jumping". Any time he isn't actively doing something in the air it looks like he's slowly falling back to the ground. I don't think we'll see a jetpack on him in this game.
This is true, in OG DB characters who couldn’t fly would be able to fight in the air for longer amounts of time if they punched while airborne, still goofy without the jetpack though lol.
The reason for that is there’s a lot of moves goku from sayian saga then goku from super they’ll have different move sets and I’m pretty sure it’ll be like one goku with a lot of ki based attacks then maybe another goku with strong special melee attacks that way if you run into another goku it won’t be the same moves

@Beeruspvm well doesn't seem to be true looking at the demo. From what I can see from the select menu you can choose which form to start in and then you may have transformation options from there depending on the character
I wonder if people would pay attention and notice Satan isn't actually flying, but dashing and then falling slowly. That's more interesting than just adding a jetpack and letting him play like everyone else.
Him with the jet pack didn’t control as smooth as everyone else but it at least made sense for why he’d be that high in the air in the first place, continuity still matters but so far this game is looking more promising 🤞
@@Martii523 I prefer it because I don't ever remember him using a jetpack in the show. It's more faithful while still allowing him to be playable without making him useless. The jetpack was a creative solution but this works just as well.
Why not make it like raging blast 2 where it's only shows characters base form and then when you select them it opens a window with their transformations, much more cleaner that way than having all characters and their transformations all listed at once.
@@will_9910 Xenia Emulator (Xb360) is better than Ps3 emulator, mainly cuz it isn't as much work due to Xb360 hardware being more friendly to developer than whatever Ps3 had so its easier to run and emulate.
I highly dislike when dragon ball z games have transformations as seperate characters, rather appearing as another small selection screen, when choosing the base character. I.E Choosing Goku (gt) in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 changes the selection screen to show all of his transformations (base, ssj, ssj3, ssj4)
I don’t understand why they didn’t do it as base z have access to all z transformations and super have all super transformations to save space ,it’s not hard to integrate movesets in each transformation if budokai 3 can do it then why can’t this game do it that’s just lazy developing

The game has been in development for 4 years and they wanted to make sure they brought an amazing experience for all returning players, so far nothing has been lazy. 3. It's a demo and UI or character select could change in the future, didn't see anyone complain about multiple clustered Gokus everyone on Xenoverse 2

Everyone keep in mind the game is still in development the select screen is most likely a placeholder for until we get the classic budokai screen and things like the jet pack hopefully will be added later and some of the mid animations (like great ape vegeta talking) will hopefully also be changed

The ki blast being lighting fast is PERFECT. In the show we see characters reacting, but its supposed to be a split second they either block or get hit if theyre not stronger/faster than the blast
I wish they would combine all Gokus/Vegetas into a single slot and make us switch variant like you would with costumes instead, like they did in older games. It would look cleaner imo
Holy that character selection screen is the ugliest thing ive ever seen. Having each chracters transformation out in the open is horrific, they need to do it like BT3/RB2 where you would click the character THEN see all his different forms. Not to mention the loud wind sound effect that happens every time you switch characters lol.

@@mashihero7661it's not changing they already said on a video on bandai official channel (uploaded today) that players in split screen mode will have to take turns selecting chracters because they already finished the design of the chracter selection and don't want to redo it for local offline.

@@yobro6053 I think it's ok cause most people are used to xenoverse's select screen where only one person can pick a character at a time. The thing I think we should be worrying about is the one map we can use. Hopefully there will be more map updates for this game for split screen.
@@yobro6053in game dev it is hard to implement som major like split screen after everything is done. Especially depending on how it is made (i.e game engine) Sometimes it’d require redoing a lot of things from the ground up.

I hope that's not what the actual character select screen is going to look like. It was much neater in the old games where you pick a base character and then all the forms are on a sub-menu instead of just 10 different Goku forms in a row, then 10 different Vegeta forms before actually getting to Gohan.

The special attacks are really impresive visually, but man this need some work. The menu for instance, is really...bad? And the camera clipping with the terrain lol
One thing I always hated about Tenkaichi games is why the hell do they need so many different versions of the same character? A game with this fighting style and a OG Budokai power up system (able to power up mid fight) would be so dope
To everyone complaining about the character select screen, it’s a valid take. I just can’t imagine a world where the final product is going to look so unorganized. The game is still a work in progress, and most games if not all get worked on until the day it launches. Have y’all forgotten the ability of day 1 patches. So with that being said let’s all relax, appreciate the good that they done so far, appreciate how much they are trying to put fans first, and just have a little trust and patience. I’m calling it this will be the definitive DBZ experience for years to come (P.s. please voice criticism but let’s be civilized about it. This game is something that a lot of people have been waiting for. We all want the game to succeed)
I really hope that this doesn't end up being the final roster look, because that means they are still doing the same as xenoverse 2 and giving the same characters and their transformations completely different character slots, instead of tenkaichi 3 where they did one character with their transformations their own little sub slots

You can pick base Goku and transform. The reason the other forms are on the select screen are in case you want to start the fight already transformed, just like in the other games. Remember when you would select Goku (End) and then his forms would pop up for you to choose one? It's the exact same thing.

@@ShadicRothZz1998 you don't understand, what he is complaining about and I completely understand is that it doesn't make sense for the transformations to be shown in the roster, it makes the roster unnecessarily big and that makes navigation more annoying, it should be a sub menu like bt3 had, you didn't see any transformations on the roster only the ones from the character you pick once you pick him

The character select design looks so generic and the character poses are so flat. I hope they change it because Budokai tenkaichi was always characterized by having a UI colorful and dynamic.
I don't agree, I actually like the new character select screen, no offense to Budokai Tenkaichi, but it's way more easier to navigate characters here then in other Budokai Tenkaichi games.
