the fact that they added the scene of Goku and Vegeta arguing while Zamasu is talking is hilarious. It's really like playing the anime especially since they kept the lines mostly the same from the anime, I can't wait to play this game!
Let's be honest, the whole point of sparking zero is getting characters, and run them for pvp. It was the same thing for the rest of the budokai/budokai tenkaichi games (except budokai 1 where it actually had a story, along with budokai tenkaichi 2). So ye I'm not too bothered by it at all.
Dragon ball fans when a game series known for not having beautifully and unique animation like DBZ Kakarot and mainly focuses on the fighting combos ONLY focuses on fighting: 🤓
The fighting mechanics look ok, but honestly if that's the only reason you're buying the game (not to mention a Dragon Ball game) I hate to say it but you're wasting your money and paying the wrong price lol
@@throwawayinternetrp I mean there are other things besides the story, there is a world tournament mode, and Custom Battles/Community made story What If battles. There is also bonus fun stuff like Gallery and Bulma Chichi and Videl commentary on characters

I actually love the gameplay and the game itself, the roster is beautiful and the moves cutscenes are pretty good, atleast most of them. But lord these story cutscenes are so bad, you can really see where the budget went

Imma be real they messed up on great ape Vegetas armor. It’s suppose to be battle damaged instead he got his full armor on with a few scratches. Would’ve been nice if they would’ve made models of Goku and Vegeta looking like their early dbz designs I wish they would’ve added the quick time event or whatever u call it when there’s a button that lets you switch out with a character or do an ultimate move. Don’t get me wrong there are interesting and good aspects that they added in the game but there’s a few issues here and there with it
Yeah the groin guards are supposed to be gone and the right shoulder plate is damaged from losing the beam struggle. Just looks like he took a couple punches from Goku then went great ape. They also didn’t add “costumes” for minor damage for Vegeta (scouter) this just reuse the damage he took from the spirit bomb before he actually got hit by it.
The story mode isn’t right for the Vegeta and Goku fight on earth and is missing key details. By the time he goes great ape. His groin guards are gone and right shoulder armor plate is damaged from getting hit with a x4 Kaioken Kamehameha. Looking at it from this perspective in sparking zero just looks like Vegeta took a few punches from Goku then went great ape. In the anime/manga he did this because he felt he was backed into a corner, lost the beam struggle with his biggest attack which is his galick gun. This was Vegeta’s trump card. Of course you wouldn’t know this because sparking zero skips over it.
Y’all people really need to chill about the story mode being a slide show and go do y’all homework on the old BT series having slideshows and BT2 really did a good job of having somewhat cinematic cutscenes so Sparking Zero does the same as well but better detail.
That probably would have taken another 4 years or so. The Budikai Tenkaichi series has always been known for having very condensed story modes. In bt3 some missions of importance were even cut. Not saying it's right but this is what they've done in the past and this is simply a continuation and a mix between bt1 and bt3
This is fine, nothing special but I guess I can see why people are whining. Then again, if you were playing a budokai game for the story instead of the 50 other games including kakarot that go through it, you’re probably not that smart anyways
They want some over the top cutscenes for everything That make sense but the Tenkaichi games have always had not really good cutscenes (Besides a few in Tenkaichi 2)
my brother in christ this is the first time we got super story mode! fighterz didnt have shit but 21 story, kakarot only covers z content, and xenoverse alters the story. people want a couple cool ass in game model cutscenes because they like to series, why go through the effort of a shitty slow slide show instead of popping off a good intro amd outro, we dont want storm ninja level cutscenes but just like xenoverse ingame ones.

Everyone else will complain about how bad this story mode is even thos this is a perfect combination and mix of bt1's and bt3's story mode....ya know.... Almost its like this is in the same series or something

Idk how much of a budget or big of a team they had working on this game, but if it possibly took this long to gain the green light and creation for what they’re giving us so far, I can’t imagine how long it would’ve took for them to give us a top tier story mode on top of everything
Honestly i'm fine with the cards. I'm happy we get different new scenes and what not. But i'm super tired of the rinse and repeat story. Just adding onto it with Super- wow, original.. Sorry it gets me annoyed how they CAN make their own story. Like Ain't hard?? Either way excited to play
Hell no, have you seen the Fortnite Models of the Dragon Ball characters? They are terrible on Goku and Vegeta. I recommend looking at the Goku model on Fortnite and then look at the Sparking Zero model, it's a clear night and day difference.

If you're whining about the story mode then go play Kakarot, the literal story game. This game isn't about story so if you're going into sparking zero for a story mode then you're either "special" or dumb enough to not go play kakarot.

Cause with Kakarot there was a limited roster of characters that were actually playable, Sparking Zero on the other hand has 182 characters with fully unique moveset all completely playable. I agree the story is a bit off but we have to keep in mind they are giving us a bunch of branching what if paths that may completely change the story on the selected 9 characters and they can't just blow the budget on cutscenes. I mean I get it's the first time the Super story is being adapted in story but the real joy in the game is the combat. Plus there are other modes besides the story if it isn't your cup of tea.
How are even the super “cutscenes” so bad and with the garbage slideshows. Like this is the first time we get super in story and it looks this bad, even worse than Z imo.
@ZetsuboXIII Its absolutely valid to be annoyed by how bad story mode looks especially after the trailers made it out to be entirely cinematic and especially for a game that has been as hyped up as this one. Criticising the game's visual quality doesnt make you immature far from it, but lashing out at someone just for sharing an opinion sure is. You should take your own advice and grow up :P
@@planetbumble5060 to be honest they showed the story in advanced even the slide show parts in the streams so it is not valid when people knew what the game was going to be not everything has to be cinematic none of the Tenkaichi games were cinematic just small cutscenes sometimes with text based scenes as well not big things like storm that's cyber connect so I'm not going to judge a game by how the story is a game you should criticize is storm connections
