Dual Ultimates are flashy but will forever be the biggest let down in XV2. We wanted attacks that did more damage as a team attack. When they released they did less damage until you maxed out that stupid friendship bar. Now despite having a build specifically for Ki/Strike moves they still do a set damage which remains less than what most ultimates are capable of.
To be fair, they are weakened for balancing. Sure it takes 2 players and timing, but they are inescapable and beyond easy to perform the initial requirements. Allies don’t even need to be locked on or in lock on range to be able to trigger their end of the activation requirement. The attacks are also enhanced by both players individual stat amps and forms, meaning any pose or decent transformation from both players can easily increase the dmg. No doubt there is a better way to overall handle duel Ults, but for what was given, the result is honestly fine.
@@spalenzagabrielHonestly doing that was a mistake you can already play xenoverse 1 story in xenoverse 2 so I’m sorry to say this but you’ve wasted both your time and money. Honestly there’s no reason to ever go back to xenoverse 1 anymore
1:50 this super ki attack in my personal opinion is one of my favorites it's almost, well, a bit like goku's using instinctive transmission and kamehameha, but the good thing about this ability is that you can move even when you teleport you can go any direction fast but for a short time
They do more damage if you have maxed friendship, and they still get bonuses from transformations and stuff. But they have to be low damage, since unlike other ultimates they cannot be vanished out of, they cannot be blocked while they are taking damage from it already, so they are guaranteed to hit since they don't ever miss. The only way to stop them is if your initial use is blocked, which is difficult to do since you can launch these even without stamina breaks. If they did the damage of regular ults they would simply be too powerful.
@THEGRUMPTRUCK you know most of those are already hard to pull off cuz you need a partner and they're pretty useless in 1v1s plus if that was true they wouldn't make Hercules double ult heal the user
The first time I watched this video I noticed that some of the Dual ultimates had some unique dialogue so I watched it a second time and created a list of my favorites Krillin: 0:14 Tien: 0:30 Beerus: 4:53 Pan: 4:58 (that dodge by Zeno Goku was clean asf) Cooler: 5:44 Android 16: 5:58 (unique animation for CACs) SSJ4 Goku: 7:22 SSJ4 Vegeta: 7:36 Trunks: 7:48 Rosè Goku Black: 8:35 Jiren: 10:00 Kefla: 10:14 (Probably my favorite)
Eyy thank you for this comment I’m surprised it doesn’t have more likes Also can you tell me what Krillin says during the dual ultimate cuz I can’t understand
I think the dbxv2 devs had an idea they didn't really share, that there's some attacks that are made to be finishers, for example, raid blast, it's got kinda pathetic damage but would be a cool finish for an enemy, duel ultimates are also cool for that
Missed opportunity to not just have some of the combination moves from the OG series. Like, let me grab Omega Shenron from behind while my buddy ruins both of us with special beam cannon, or let me do a father/son kamehameha.
@@Bakuganluver23true, but then again I feel like they’d only nerf something for competitive 1v1 sake, and if you’re doing an attack with an alley I don’t think that applies, ya know? (Also, I know this comment is old as all hell, I was just bored and watched this)
That’s funny cuz this is an special attack and they do a double Ultimate (the reason of that probably is you cant do a double body switch and the dev decided to just use that)
