Dragon Ball Z (ドラゴンボールZ) - Super Mega Epic Battle Medley 2000
This is a hard rock / metal medley containing some of the most iconic themes from the original Japanese soundtrack off of Dragon Ball Z.
This one goes out to the one and only Satha!
15 years ago, he asked me to do this medley and I told him straight up:
- Look man, RU-vid and the Great Olde Internet hasn't even been invented yet, you'll have to wait!!
But through the passing of time, multiple bribes and death threats, here it finally is.
Hope it will last a long time dude, because it will probably be another 15 years until I make the next one.
(Also thanks to Goku for letting me borrow his urine cloud.)

the japanese soundtrack is the only good one and beloved by all fans since the beginning of dragon ball... so it always got all the love to begin with... the US ost is complete shit and nobody likes it...

Farnham TheDrunk The US ost is too damn loud. Seriously. This is Dragon Ball. Not some freakin gangster GTA thug life thing, so yea I agree with you. And second of all, because of that annoying bruce falcouner music, the US dub doesn’t even have at least 1 opening song.

You have made a visceral "elder" fan of Dragon Ball very happy. I'm from Italy and here the episodes have been broadcasted with the original japanese soundtrack. You're the best of the best, as always.

I really appreciate your sense of audio engineering man. The mixes are heavy, but still retains brightess and crunch from the Van Halen style. I usually dislike metal covers because they are clicky kick drum, and 8 string guitars tuned down a whole step fests.

For everyone that wasn't raised with the English soundtrack, I think we should consider ourselves lucky because we've been exposed to the maximum level of originality of content, we know the real essence and emotions of this show even if it came in different languages. Music bonds everything together and trasmits feelings and emotions better than languages do. I don't envy anybody that watched the show in that soulless and totally bland confusion of guitars and shit that you find in the english version. You can totally tell it took em 5 minutes to put that shit together. It's sad.

Its so weird because english sub viewers find the American version of the soundtrack so good, when it just sounds like random noise most of the time (few themes being exceptions). Yeah the original soundtrack had a lot more heart. My favorite is the soundtrack to Dragon Ball when Goku was a kid.

Yea, they hired literal who's to make it (which is also what the ghost writers were at the time) on a shoestring budget because they were such a cheap studio (and to begin with they stole the DB license via nepotism when they were a completely unknown upstart of a company). And it shows.
