The thing about this game is that active skills are just small segments of some units, it's cooler if you see all the animations the units offers

The best part is, this isnt even every active skill, or even close to every good-looking animation For example, we have normal super attacks, ultra super attacks, counters, enemy attack nullifications, normal Transformations, fuisons, exchanges, revives, and standby skills.

All of the animations are made by dokkan not taken from anime. They are really good aren't they.

The animations in the game have changed a lot in the past 6 years from the simple animations they had in 2016 then in 2018 they started becoming more complex and detailed with Metal Cooler all the way up until now. Also the 8th Anniversary is just around the corner, so if you are thinking of trying Dokkan now is the time so you can get stones saved up

Here is a little list of Animations in Dokkan you can see while playing, hope it will help you understand why some of the actives look little funky, the budget also goes to other Animations. - Super Attacks are Attacks released by characters when their Ki Meter is 12 (the Orbs in the middle are Ki Orbs that you use to charge Ki Meter) all Units have one, Legendary Units have two (one on 12 ki and second one on 18 ki) - Active Skills are Special attacks/buffs that can be activated when Special conditions are met, only some of the characters have them. - Revival - Skill that allows you to survive Deadly Hit (for example Metal Cooler regenerating) with some of the HP. - Unite Super Attacks - Stronger Super Attacks released when you have specified unit on your team (for example, the Pan you saw in video has one with Trunks, Goku or the robot from GT called Giru) - Exchange, a Type of Active Skill that swaps the character to other (Goku giving up and sending Gohan to fight that you saw in Video or Vegeta going Blue after screaming on Goku) - There are also Standby Skills that allow you to realese the strong Attack, the ones we got do far (since this mechanic is kinda new) work like mix of Revive and Active. - Counter - Attack that disrupts enemy Super Attack and counter, dealing dmg to enemy, usualy has % chance to work (like 50% or 70% etc.) - Nulify, a skill that allows you to block enemy Super Attack, but without countering like in Counter (for example SSJ Gogeta tanking hit with his forehead from Fusion Reborn) Every Unit also has their own Arts, one for SSR and TUR (Transcendent Ultra Rare) Legendary Units also have their own Legendary art. Arts can change due to Standby, Active etc. You play basicly by clicking Ki Orbs dealing dmg while tanking enemy Hits, hope it helped you understand the game better.

7:05 Fun fact: This was a unique character in the game cause most of the characters in the game reference to the anime, but this Goku and Gohan duo unit is completely non canon, it’s basically a what if Goku was alive and both teamed up on Cell.

The big red guy with the green ki blasts you didn’t recognize and the team attack with Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan and Piccolo are from the DBZ OVA, Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. It originally came out back in the 90s with a game that had the same title but it had different endings. When DBZ Raging Blast 2 came out though, they had redone the OVA into newer animation style (closer to Super’s) and added it into the game to watch while adding the villain, Hatchiyack, the red villain you saw, as a playable character as well. He’s shown up more since then. While I don’t play Dokkan, I do know it includes a ton of DBH/SDBH characters as well as a few original fusions from the Dragon Ball Fusions game.

The best thing about Dokkan animation is the animate everything differently based off of it's origin or when the moment was captured. Any unit from DBS Super Hero has that animation style. Moments from DBZ movies will have their respective style. We just got new units from OG Dragon Ball and they animated them to look just like a crisper version of OG DB 😂

This is an amazing game. Some of the characters in this game have intros and some have KO screens. However, global side is 6 months behind the Japan dokkan battle since global dokkan was created in end of July and beginning of August. Right now their is a WorldWide event where both Japan and Global dokkan get the same banner. I have been playing since the 1st or 2nd year anniversary of global dokkan.

I think legend is more pvp based and dokkan is more collectioning card/ doing the right team composition Ps : i played legend long ago but i play dokkan everyday since 6y

Active skills are not the only animation,super attacks ,ultra super attacks,transformations and standby skills also use animation,also for these animations they uses panels from the anime or the movies so they look similar but the older animations were upscaled by drawing them again

The ost”s make these active skills so much better

Dokkan battle is such a nostalgic game 8 years of good content and it feels unique every time rn you reacted to only 10 percent of animations the rest are so good to and there super attacks and now we have intros to

In this game you play aginst difficult cpu bosses,but i love how he says "uninstall if you get hit by this".

You should check out the revives, entrance animations and also the super attacks (for the latest units). You should also check out the 8th anniversary standby skills

The way they do most of the really good animations are sample it from the movie, and then put it into the game. They aren't just dropping the clips in, a lot of the animations are done by the staff, they just sample it mostly off the movie. That's why some of the more non-canon units (like the SSJ Goku and Gohan's active skill doesn't look as flashy despite being a newer unit, that unit has its own made from nothing animations, whereas the good animations already have sampled.) it still takes them a lot of effort to do though.

Active Skill Animations and OSTs are made for Dokkan and use specific scenes from dragon ball as a reference.

Playing dokkan is like watching an Anime but you decided the attack lol

Dokkan battle is kinda just good animations with better OST and Legends is mainly about fighting with strategy, honestly I like legends more because the characters fighting is more in your control in my opinion.

The reason for the difference in level of quality is some of those are f2p units while others are paid monthly releases.

Yeah active skills are like the big time animations, theres intros, super attacks and essentially the whole 9 yards. If you want to see more like that I highly recommend you watch LR Blue Vegito and Blue Gogeta just to see how insane theyre attacks look compared to the active skills. And everything is made for dokkan, its imprsssive how good they cab make it because they make it even better than the anime.

The orbs are "ki" you pick up ki with characters and fire super attack to damage the eneamy there is much more then that but thats a simple explanation

You gotta see all of the animations to understand dokkan more you've seen a few as of right now it gets so much better

Dokkan Battle is straight fire, I've played for years and I keep going, almost all F2P too, I've only payed once and it was only 7 bucks, so yeah, no money required to have fun, try it out!

The active skills are good, but the characters have super attacks that play every turn as well that usually look just as good as the active skills.

dokkan and legends are totally different games, dokkan is turn based with a static gameplay, legends is a real time game with total different mechanics

I'm pretty sure some of the Dokkan community calls the Beast Gohan "Beastless" Gohan because he is only in Beast for that one attack after that he goes back to being Ultimate Gohan.

i played dokkan when it first came out, i think i pre ordered it back in 2013 i remembered how much i was having, i was addicted to it heavy. But one day i dropped my phone in the sink and lost everything, i tried to recover my data on my new phone but i failed😢 i was depressed for a long time. And lost the motivation to play dokkan again. Some time after i saw the trailer for dragonball legends. i was hyped, i found motivation to play a dragonball mobile game that isn't dokkan. But it was short lived, after i got the reincarnation of broly from dragon ball super broly movie, i was playing db legends outside of the bus stop and dropped my phone in a stupid puddle from a terrible thunderstorm. That didn't hurt me as much as dokkan but it still hurt, yet again i lost all motivation until 2023. I re-downloaded dragon ball z dokkan! A freash new start after multiple years of that traumatic incident. Im back stronger than ever, Legendary bardock/w squad(great ape form), Legendary tien, legendary goku jr/w vegeta jr, Ultra rare super vegeta with his god like Final flash against perfect cell, Ultra rare nappa (great ape form) and ultra rare Baby vegeta (great ape form) im like a kid in the candy store but im extra caution this time around making sure my environment is desert dry, you should react to dokkan LR cards animation.

Also, the Dokkan OSTS are 10× better than the Legends ones, as you might've noticed ;) so make sure to listen to the ones you prefer ! 👍 Edit : This was only the active skills from the past year, there are ALOT more currently in-game, and some of them are times better than some of the ones you saw, even if it was animated way before.

So basically the active skills in the game are either attacks or transformations that you can activate if you fulfill the requirements to use them. There is a bunch of more stuff like super attacks which you use all the time also they look really well animated, well most of them. But the major difference is that dokkan battle is a pve game so no pvp. And legends is a pvp game mostly. I'd say legends is more p2w as pulling more "copies" of characters makes them much stronger. If you want to maximize a character in legends you need 17 I think. In dokkan the most you need to maximize a unit is 5 copies. But you don't need to maximize units at all to enjoy both games, but in legends case it's much more important than in dokkan

these were only ones from 2022, there are active skills all the way back to 2019 and there are english voices for nearly all of them including the ones you reacted to in this video, there are also revival animations and intro animations that are voiced too that you should check out too
