@@theghostkilla456 It's the same drum fill as the one used in the intro to Raditz's active skill theme, which is widely used to take the piss out of bad units
honestly i'm loving the approach they took, they could have resorted to a "traditional" heroic theme but they decided to go with something fitting the two characters instead, while still having that "final resort" vibe, great stuff
I love this because it does an amazing job at encapsulating that dramatic moment right before the protagonists are about to win, this case being Gamma 2's core breaker.
@@bomba25jthats what im saying. Other people dont think this ost does the sacrifice justice, but this ost SCREAMS gamma 2. Its the embodiment of who he is as a character, and it just does an amazing job at portraying his core breaking sacrifice. 10/10 ost.
@@michaelmcintire6985 Also even if they decided to do a more tragic OST, it still wouldn't be as fitting as there isn't even a K.O. screen of Gamma 2 fading away like Legends.
@@Tyranitar66501so hard is it to play a harmonica? And is it the o ly type of harmonica or is there a similar instrument to it kinda a flute and a piccolo?
@@Ttyumbra First question: Its not easy, in fact its harder than other wind instruments because you have to also inhale to produce notes. Second question, there are many different types, you can google each of them. Third question, the method of sound production is different.
I understand why some people think its not fitting but personally i think it is quite fitting for gamma 2 as a character. The standby and finish skill could rlly switch osts but based on your view points either ost can fit either of the animations
There is a song from Bravely Default that sounds so much like this, the theme song of Ringabel. Maybe it was the inspiration, which I wouldn’t be surprised because the LR Androids theme took inspiration from the Necromancer theme from Castle Crashers 😅
If someone told me that the theme of Gamma 2’s powerful heroic sacrifice would be a bouncy power polka melody straight out of Weird Al’s playbook I wouldn’t believe you.
This track kinda sounds like you're playing Pokemon and you're fighting the champion of a region or the final battle with your rival before the pokemon league. Kinda nice actually.
You know, people are bringing up Pokémon (specifically Zinnia), and that got me thinking. Imagine Red, Blue, and Leaf coming to Dokkan with Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur! Maybe for their Active Skill they could Mega Evolve! That would be so cool!
I'm probably wrong but my theory about the accordion is: the instrument was originated in China, which is one of the nations most affected by suicide, being the #1 death cause of teenagers, and here we have gamma 2 sacrificing himself for it's own. It's also pretty cool how that's not a "goodbye" rythm like Majin vegeta one because Gamma 2 was happy for dying as a hero (plus he probably doesn't even needed to do this, Gohan was just holding his beast lol)
the accordion was inspired by the Chinese Sheng, actually in China, the free reeds were invented there, and then brought to Europe where it was used in the accordion, harmonica and similar instruments. That is coming from me as a beginner harmonica player.
It's because they're too fixated on "It's Gamma 2's sacrifice, it's supposed to be sad" when the active animation gives off more "Gamma 2 coming in with the steel chair" vibes which aligns with the attack intending to be the final blow. A more dramatic/sad ost works just as well, but not without a KO screen of him fading away (which isn't in said active).
