This really looks a lot a fun, an RPG Dragon Ball with a ton a side quests and new storylines and characters by Toriyama. Also the graphics look really damn cool!

If they add the Pilaf to 23rd Tournament arcs it would be a 10/10 for me, what a shame they’re apparently skipping all that part of the story :/

The driving test episode was important to the plot, I for one want to see the stunning advancements this game can make over it's peers by including this pivotal moment in the story.

Pretty much. There are so many people who will throw shade at Goku for being a bad parent (and, to be fair, he kind of is), but really he was just raising Gohan as he would have wanted to be raised. As a martial artist, Goku could see Gohan's potential ever since the Saiyan saga, but the fact that he didn't realize how much Gohan hated fighting implies that he never *really* knew how to be a father, and Piccolo calling him out on it was the first time he realized just how big a mistake he'd made. Another edge to this is the difference between English and Japanese Goku. The "good guy, hero" Goku was more in line with the English dub, where the original characterization of Goku really did just want to pick a fight with the next biggest fish in the pond so he could constantly improve. He makes for an amazing character in that respect, since he'll never see himself as having reached his full potential.

@@fawn8347 Of course Goku is damn happy to train his son to be a strong warrior since it's goku passion but people tend to forget that wasn't going to make him a warrior in the first place, its just the events forced gohan to be a warrior and so goku decided to help him out

I feel like they’re really reaching for something here. Goku never really seemed to care much about family, he wouldn’t want them to be harmed or anything but his only interest is really just training and fighting. You never see him miss or long to be around chichi gohan or gotten in the manga/ anime.

@@leofera1137 Yeah, never really cared for Goku as a "person". Beside the hard work ethic to achieve your goals, he fails horribly at everything else. They could have wrote him alot better. Hence why Vegeta is my bae. The ending to the cell saga could have been way better. Vegeta should have went SSJ2 when cell killed Trunks. His pride of his son being killed infront of him should have pushed him over the edge. Vegeta and Gohan should have tag teamed Cell at the end, not some fake father/son blast.

Wooty Wooter that’s because he wanted goten and trunks to take care of buu. Because he knows that they will have to protect earth when he’s dead. So he was giving them experience. Not his fault. Gotenks could have beaten buu easily with SSJ3 if he had taken the fight seriously.

No, this game is based on the manga, not the anime. In the manga the beam struggle was short and only Vegeta interfered, just like it happens in the cutscene.

I can't say much because I haven't played kakarot but from what I've seen, I don't remember xenoverse being this cinematic in the fights nor remember that many teleports in one combo. There's even different control scheme. It all makes sense. Xenoverse doesn't have bad controls tho. I just don't want an mmo style game. This is the actual story

@@qp7888 it's not a bad thing. We have played the story over and over but this is a game that goes back to the story and gives us what the show didn't show us. It's the the show with new scenarios and a different take with new animations and scene. This game is a real dragon ball game for the fans and not an mmo with dragon ball heroes take on the original story

That would be amazing to play with all the different fighters, and Hit would be unique, and we could play as Trunk against Black, and...come this is great. Though also it's probably too ambitious for a game dedicated mostly to Z. I feel these things need their own title (Kakarot sequel anyone?).
