@@timtam2400 Maybe not enough to win RIGHT AWAY, BUT! it would have helped his defense more and maybe create more opportunities to strike them down. and besides, do you really think that a woman capable of making a damn TIME MACHINE would have trouble making cybernetics that could withstand saiyan power, freiza's cyber stuff could handle his whole blast he threw at trunks so yeah it is possible and that was strong enough to destroy the planet.

It’s still heartbreaking though. You can really tell that Gohan wasn’t nearly enough, even in that last moment. Neither android seems all that surprised after the initial shock of him still being able to go SSJ wears off, and them amping up the beam struggle is done without any real sign of exertion. It really sells up the tragic truth that Gohan could *never* have beaten them, likely not even with both arms.

@@borby4584bro in every version of this fight except the manga Gohan was actually up on one android. It’s everytime they started to jump on him that he started to lose.

@@Zer0Competition00 True, and that’s why Trunks getting Super Saiyan after seeing Gohan’s dead body is by FAR the strongest version of him getting the form. It adds a further level of tragedy, as had Trunks done that before, he *might* have been able to hold off one of them long enough for Gohan to defeat the other. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure 17 said he and his sister were holding back, though

exactly. which is why it makes ZERO sense why gohan became so weak in this timeline. its purely for plot purposes... so trunks can get his shine. cuz i think a desperate. constantly fighting with androids. angry gohan would deff have hit SS2 at some point. like this battle here would have been that since he was going all in. oh well tho. RIP future gohan.

@@ssppeeaarr I always thought that it kind of made sense that Gohan weakened over time because he was always his mom’s son. He valued knowledge and commitment over fighting prowess. He really never wanted to fight or become powerful but he wanted to defend people from being hurt. His own code and values are what set him apart. He never wanted to fight but was instead the biggest trump card for those that mistook his kindness for weakness. Gohan was always human first rather than saiyan, he only knew the power that was preserved in him. Goku and Vegeta were the born fighters. That is why in every fight they dominate the enemy because Gohan never had to be the last resort.

​@@rgutierrez595 And even with the limited knowledge on what triggers SSJ transformations at that point of time, the people's deaths and him being constantly near death fighting the androids should've been enough to trigger his SSJ2, perhaps none of the deaths are impactful enough because they're not Z fighters. And even so that Gohan never have any intentions to push himself beyond the limit from the beginning, and lets Goku and Vegeta do the job instead. it always seemed like that he thinks that everything is just forced into him, even if he didn't state it clearly.

@@adrianc2463 @ssppeeaarr You also have to realize that this Gohan version is older than Gohan in the Buu Ark, and when you think about it, it's kind of insane. In the alternate timeline, (not the "future" one) Gohan and his friends fight the Androids when he is a little kid, doesn't know how to go SSJ at all. He actually learns how to do it at Kami's Hyperbolic Time Chamber where he trains for ONE YEAR with his dad to prepare against perfect Cell. To go SSJ2, seeing all his friends dying wasn't enough. He needed C-16 speech about being a pacifist that loves nature but is sad to see all that go now that Cell will destroy the Earth. Future Gohan never had any speech, he probably went into SSJ1 after seeing all his friends die and lost hope after that. At the end, Gohan is literally the strongest character in the whole DBZ saga (well except Vegito and Buu Gotenks ssj3 absorbed - but that's cheating) but still doesn't really want to fight or really trains for it.

Yeah, I ended up finding a video of it- the game cheats and keeps them at 1 HP. Gotta admit though, it’s still kinda funny that these androids who wouldn’t be able to actually beat him even if you left the game on overnight are suddenly able to kill him with one blast.

@@grimman2451 that was dope! i wish they went with that for his eventual ss2 and its electricity... its as if future gohan was kinda finally getting to that level. but ya he was body was already damaged. which just kept him from unlocking it. maybe if he lived to fight another day he would have reached ss2. this is still gohan who has all that hidden beast potential.

​@@ssppeeaarrit's literally not a plothole Goku died from a heart disease in this timeline, because of that he wasn't granted a body once he was dead, he became a spirit in Heaven with no means of getting to King Kai or back to Earth

@@andreadebernardis4390 smh the saiyan saga happened in that timeline too. goku knew king kai. so did the other fighters who died. just cuz he died of a heart virus doesnt meant his body would just mysteriously vanish. he earned his place as a hero by then. saving the earth. not to mention all the other good deeds hes done on earth all his life. i doubt yemma would forget. so kept his body. sure kai would have known gokus passing and goku would have asked to go to kai or just teleport there. n all the terrible stuff going on earth too. being that is his responsibility. kai would have been watching. ...hmmm but plot holes.

No; that's a separate timeline. It's a lot confusing. In timeline 3, the one Cell is from, Goku teleports to Earth to kill Frieza and Cold. He then dies of a heart virus and the Androids attack and kill everyone except Trunks. T3 Trunks goes to the past creating timeline 4, an alternate past we never see. I believe T3 Trunks kills T4 Frieza and Cold, they use a remote device to deactivate the androids, Trunks goes back to the future to do the same to the T3 Androids.Then he's about to go back to the past to tell them he was successful but is killed in his own timeline by T3 Imperfect Cell (the Cell we know) because he never got stronger training with Vegeta. T3 Cell uses the time machine to go back to the past (Timeline 1) before Trunks ever arrived and absorb the androids. Cell's time travel created Timeline 1, the main timeline. T4 never learn about Cell and there may still be a Cell in that timeline but no Androids and no time machine for him. Idk what happens in T4 after that. In timeline 2, the one the Future Trunks we know is from, Goku teleports to Earth to kill Frieza and Cold. He then dies of a heart virus and the Androids attack and kill everyone except Trunks. T2 Trunks goes to the past (T1 mainstream timeline, which T3 Cell is already in), kills Frieza, warns them, comes back 3 years later, but things are different to how he remembered because T3 Cell's existence changed the timeline, such as Gero creating Android 19 and 16 and also being an android, Androids 17 and 18 being less murderous but perhaps stronger, and so on. After learning about Cell and discovering the egg and cicada shell of T3 Cell and the time machine he came back in, Trunks and Krillin kill embryonic T1 Cell in Gero's lab. T2 Trunks trains with Vegeta, dies to Perfect Cell, Gohan kills Cell, Trunks is revived, goes back to the future, kills the androids AND T2 Imperfect Cell. If you include Super, this Trunks defeats Dabura and stops Majin Buu from being awakened, but then Zamasu/Goku Black attack and the T1 Saiyans help. T2 is erased from existence by Xeno. Timeline 3 has no Saiyans or strong fighters left, but also no threat, because the androids were deactivated and T3 Cell was killed in T1. If Buu ever happened in this timeline everyone would be fucked. All of this complicated shit is because in the real world, the editors didn't like Toriyama's designs for Trunks' androids (19 and 20 were going to be the main villains "a fatso and a geezer"). So he created 17 and 18. They didn't like them either, too young and unthreatening, so he created Cell to be the main villain. But he had to explain Cell's existence with more time travel. They didn't like Imperfect Cell's design because it was too scary so he gave Cell transformations by having him absorb the androids.
