Not trying to sound demotion or anything but this dlc is theme is just something they barely do in Dragon ball like it always a option they can do they just don't like it doesn't really feel creativity it just something they do in most single player db game

I still think Xenoverse 2 is much better in terms of being a "Dragon Ball Simulator". This game's ok though, for an RPG-type game.

@@boohawk659nah you’re not seeing things they really did slim him down. I love how they just didn’t just copy and paste his other build from the main storyline.

They announced this a long time ago and undermined everyone who bought before legendary went on sale for $60 with season pass 2 costing $40 and who knows how short this campaign will be (bardock/kid prince vegeta was 3 hours so I skipped). SP1 is only $25 for 3 arcs, which future trunks was longer than sp2 so far. I need a new game honestly though at least this is on ps plus extra for the base game. They still didn't give a release date, and who knows what bugs it will have (bardock couldn't save on xbox series and needed time to fix). I do like how the bone headed ceo for cyberconnect 2 talked about how current gen is the only way to know about game design. Might as well say don't buy this game despite it starting last gen and having a switch version.

I'm as excited as the next guy for this too maybe just maybe Namco will bless us with DBGT DLC having the Baby or Omega Shenron arc closing it out

Naw, Golden Era would be the tournament when Tien won because Goku got hit by a car. The overall power balancing was way better BEFORE Goku got trained by Kami.

@@CosmicFist the sale on steam is over but the deluxe edition is still on sale on ps4/5 (like 6 days left I think) so if you have a ps4/5 you can still get it there on sale I bought it on my ps5 but not going to play it yet since I still haven't finished watching the anime (like 20 eps left on z kai and then gt and super)

Isn’t it free for ps+ premium or something ? I may actually give this game a try. I was hating on it from the start for being another pretty game with shallow combat. But free is free and this is a nice looking dlc

It’s a really good game I way better then xenoverse. I gave up after tenkaichi 3 but this brought me back i thought it had the best way of going through each saga of dragon ball z the dlcs have honestly been horrible. Bardocks dlc is really good and so is the future trunks one but I honestly don’t enjoy super at all so I didn’t really like the first 2 I just want them to make a broly dlc that’s about all I’m waiting for now with the announcement of this one

@@capo900 kakarot’s story from start to finish is the entire Dragonball Z story which is literally all the good stuff. On top of that you can go around collecting dragon balls and doing side quests. I enjoyed the community board aspect of it. Beyond that xenoverse just feels like a story where you are just going back in time and preventing something different happening in each time setting. It’s boring as hell it is challenging but it’s just boring I enjoy the combat in Kakarot far more not too mention the aura of the entire game makes it feel like you are in the world of dragon ball rather then some time traveler city with elevator music lol

Hopefully, the new Tenkaichi coming out at some point delivers itself as a worthy successor.

What new tech? You probably can't use tien's multiform vs Tao. Giant Piccolo is derivative of oozaru and your foot Kamehameha may be just for a movement/dodge. I dunno if there will be much exploration neither so I have very low expectations, especially at $40 if you didn't buy legendary on sale for $60 (with no physical definitive edition).

@@MrVariant Whilst yes I understand what you are saying by Tech I mean within the fighting itself. Combo counceling. New combo routes with Ki blasts. Seeing how Ki blasts actually work as It shows Shockwave instead of Ki blast for Goku. Tien as a new character looks good and I wonder how they do the vanishing and dashing system with this limited flight mechanic!

@@Uncle-Jay OG dragon ball is far more adventure oriented than combat oriented. Fights still happen and are important, of course, but they are not the main focus. A lot more focus would need to be dedicated to world design for exploration. The combat and RPG mechanics would need to be completely redesigned with Goku starting from scratch in mind. This means no flying and no rapid fire qi blasts since those don't really happen until after King Piccolo. Instead, the abilities would need to revolve around goku's power pole and later the flying nimbus, focusing on a more slow and steady form of growth than the rapid power scaling of Kakarot while still managing to keep it fresh and fun. Training mini games would probably be a good idea as well since there are entire arcs of the show dedicated to training. Not to mention that there is so much content in the original series. If we want it done right, then it would be easier to just make an entirely new game.

I feel if we are to get that fully, we may need like a whole new game set entirely in the OG Dragon Ball timeline, as the whole adventure is just too big for DLC. "Dragon Ball: Goku" sounds like a good title.

The credible rumors are that the next DLC is going to cover the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai saga and the next season pass might get into GT and Super

They need to keep this mechanic if they do, would make sense since you cant fly other than opponents who can naturally fly.

I don't know that trunks DLC was really good it might be tough the beat but I feel like this is going to do it a playable human character and you get ground fighting now that just sounds cool

@@marcel0233 the Bardock one was fine I loved the story and the visuals but honestly Bardock felt really weak and I don't know if that was the intention or not and the fights were kind of underwhelming but other than that it was decent
