IMO the anime scene for this was the best scene in the entire series

I believe they thought the scream would be too long but they could have put the exact audio vocals, import the audio, etc. They should’ve made the transformation a button mash event, would’ve made it cooler.

I always love the voice tone of goku on SSJ3

A lot of moments really did felt like they took the quicker route....This is definitely one of them.

I was hoping for the build up, like in the anime where it looked like Goku was struggling. Such a letdown. Somehow I knew that the transformation was gonna be quick. Like someone else said, should've had us button mash until Goku finally transforms.

I was just watching this video when suddenly something happened to the power source in my house! I think Goku's Super Saiyan 3 was so powerful it broke into the real world and messed up my homes power source!!!💥💥💥⚡⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥

They censored Babidi’s death. In the manga, Buu popped Babidi’s head with that punch, and blew up the rest of his body with a Ki blast.

So if y’all didn’t know the game mostly follows the events of the manga which is why a lot of scenes we love aren’t in the game. This is actually how the maya portrayed although much cooler.

finally got out of the stupid kid gohan bs and finished the saiyan saga. and man... when the action picks up, this game is absolutely amazing. i found myself at times thinking a cutscene was actually animated, only to find its the game engine. great graphics.

This game cut a lot of the shit out I understand they did mostly the manga but for iconic scenes they should of just did the anime version and also included the filler that didn’t feel like filler like I was salty there was no inside buu part like that was a missed opportunity

Everybody that wants to hate when the people criticizing this scene I want to tell you something. Are you familiar with the term meat and potatoes? If you're going to make a remake of a movie like for example Spider-Man you got to have the meat and potatoes there. For example Uncle Ben should have already died or we'll die. Because that's who Spider-Man is. Depending on the Spider-Man that is. The meat and potatoes of this scene, is 100% the explanation of base form all the way to Super Saiyan 3. While not more iconic than the first Super Saiyan transformation, this is the same that I'm sure most of us Dragon Ball Z fans remember. The fact that the people making it did not understand this or do anything to replicate the same emotion or purpose as a lot about the game. Which is why I have not bought it. Now I'm not saying you could buy a game particularly for 1 scene but if they couldn't get a scene like this together it does not really incentivize me to want to play the overall story lest I get more disappointed like this

This hurt my soul when I first played it. What a let down. Multiple scenes where just done bad or completely different from the original anime. But this scene was just a slap in the face.

imo the real shame of this scene, and really the game as a whole, is the fact that the music is so boring. I get that copyright bullshit basically means that the anime's OST is lost to time, but there's seriously like six total tracks for cutscenes in this game, so big moments like this just end up feeling weak
