He said himself during the Buu Saga that Buu was the only real friend that he had. That's actually kinda sad if you think about it. So much fame and fortune, and yet he didn't have a single real friend, since if the world learned the truth about how he wasn't the one to defeat Cell, they'd abandon and turn on him in an instant. And then his daughter found out he was a liar and a fraud, and that her boyfriend (and future husband) was the one who'd actually defeated Cell (and on top of that she also mentioned that she'd already had her doubts about Hercule defeating Cell even before she'd met Gohan). For all of his fame and fortune, Hercule was alone in the world apart from Videl (and even his relationship with Videl seemed a bit strained at the time as well), since his wife had already died. Then he encounters Buu and manages to befriend him, only to nearly lose him during the whole Evil/Super/Kid Buu debacle. And then he has to convince Vegeta to spare Buu once Kid Buu is gone. How Hercule hadn't gone mad from the lack of real friends in the seven years between Cell's defeat and the Buu Saga kicking off is impressive enough.
Sure was nice of Mr. Satan to pretend he was scared of Beerus to make him feel better. It's like when he pretended that Trunks beat him in the tournament. He may be the strongest guy in the universe, but he's still a softie at heart.
I wish there was a "what if" of Hurcule training under Roshi (drawn by Toriyama) with Kid Goku and Krillin, for being a Gag Character and comic relief he's actually pretty strong, if he had a better mindset and motivation and training he might be the strongest human...just look at Videl....she was pretty strong with just regular training and was able to learn to fly really quickly.
Well tbf there were only two schools that really taught 'ki control ' in the series to my knowledge. Mr. Satan and Videl both had a pretty good grasp on martial arts, but they lacked the Ki focus and so were limited in how powerful they could become

Basil was beating the crap out of Buu while acting all arrogant, and I'm just sitting there like, "You know, you're not actually hurting him." That's the thing about Majin Buu, though. Either your attack completely obliterates him, or it did nothing. When it comes to injuring Buu, there isn't much of an in between, unless you can fight him for long enough that he starts running low on energy.
The fact that buu is almost undestructable and can escape the shut down space and time chamber of earths god was really the peak of how broken and absolutly terrefying buu was in Z. it was crazy.
They couldve made buu . Box jiren to show them how strong jiren and buu. And to show how far stronger goku becomes. Jiren did feel like a gag character. Hit was better written
They had several hours before the tournament, Goku could have just IT'd him to the look out and put him in the chamber and if really needed, Whis could have gone in also then put Buu in his staff for even more time dilation.
Buu is almost a gag character. Like if we follow the canon and allow buu to function canon accurately, he basically has unlimited power to the point where theres literally no story because buu just wins everytime, which is already a problem in db and always has been since at least the frieza saga with goku. Like if you think power creep in db is bad now, imagine if buu was lead protagonist. It would basically be japanese superman comics
Buu would absorb his entire team and become invincible. Masive power, regeneration, infinite energy, magic powers, god ki, absurd power multipliers. Yeaaaaaaa absorb anyone with a interesting ability and always win
One of the most annoying retcons Super did with Buu is how much he needs to sleep. The manga established and even showed that Buu only needs to sleep for 5 seconds to be fully rested.
I do sort of get why they had to do it though. If buu was in the ToP he would have had to be eliminated quickly because of his healing powers. Most of Goku’s troubles in the tournament came from being weakened after using UI the first time. If Buu was around he’d just heal him and most of the tension would be gone. It was either give him a win here and have him sit out on the tournament or have him lose in an unsatisfying manner in the ToP. Sort of a lose-lose situation
They are both 100% enthusiasm and one is 110% he could kick anyone's ass if you don't enjoy the combo I would question your Dragon Ball fandom Mr Satan and Goku are in my top 10 characters in all of anime history
Unless kid buu absorbed a bunch of fighters he doesn't stand a chance. Raw power is enough to destroy him. And he's a weakling compared to most of DBS fighters. Now if he had the sense to train.....that's a different story.
People don’t realize that Buu is technically a god killer. He went on a rampage killing Kai’s and grew stronger with the death of each. We honestly haven’t even seen him full power.

I would love Buu transforming again like a Ssj form, but with his current tall form or even the Grey, I would absolutely love to see Buu max power again
The kai with Rumshi (the elephant destroyer) is indeed Gowasu, who Zamasu had attempted to murder in the Goku Black arc. But because of time travel and Hakai shenanigans, both GOwasu and Rumshi are still alive presently during the manga's hiatus.
Mr Satan is like a average pro wrestler thrust into the Dragon Ball world I love him not as much as Master Roshi Vegeta or Goku but hilarious and 100% enthusiasm
Buu was a cheat code for Universe 7 and was excluded in the team, his ability to regenerate and heal others, absorb his opponents or turn them into candies defeats the idea of the super tournament. And I still think Broli should have been in the team instead of Roshi, but then Toriyama limited him only to movies.
They were always gonna be there...for some reason. It's Frieza that's the reason why he's not in the tournament. He's too merchandisable to ignore, whereas Buu's toys sold like tapioca pudding (they didn't sell well)
Don’t lump in tien with krillin it’s not his fault he doesn’t get random power ups even though he’s never stopped training at this point he should at least be able to contend with buu he just doesn’t get any time to shine besides their really wasn’t anyone else to fill the spot for krillin their was options
Buu only real loss was against himself as evil buu and then kid buu Buu overall is a powerhouse character it would have been to hard to have knocked him out of the ring in the ToP Buu could just split him up and keep the same amount of power unlike other characters then with her regeneration and healing abilities he would battle medic for the team
May as well just upload the full episodes, we doing some dumb "race to the bottom" shit with YT these days where the shorter and shorter presentations get the most views for being seen as "condensed" when really we're getting the Cliff Notes version of content.
This isn’t even the strongest version of Buu either. His original fat version pre-split was significantly stronger because he still had the amp from his evil half. The pure good Buu we see here is not stronger than Kid Buu and Kid Buu is much weaker than pre-split Fat Buu/Super Buu. If Buu was kept out of the tournament because of how broken he is + strong, imagine if it was him when he was at his strongest.

Super sucks as far as the writing goes. Doesn't feel cannon for sure. Even GT feels more cannon than this super. Feels like all promotional crap for Bandai to sell DLC.
