Hi Gray. Thank for the video. I saw a lot of small side shoots next to the bulbs. Will thinning the side branches would have the same effects as thinning the bulbs.
Thanks for this video Gray. I'm learning a lot from your videos. I'm a young dragonfruit farmer and really appreciate you taking the time to share this knowledge through this medium. Thank you sir.
ALL depends where you live. Here in so cal this year only 2 main crops. There should be three. Say 1000 plants per acre. Say average 3lbs per wave or crop per plant that about 4 fruit. You will find about 6000 + ... in tropics I hear 30,000 I'm about 6 this year should be 8 +. Maybe with one acre and more care 10+?????
This is an experimental one it only has a numbr '942', it is.sweet but light red... I wish it were darker. But the thinning of flowers applies to All varieties.
Sorry my friend I don't sell cuttings... I do not want to be part of the chaos this has created for our industry... I could tell you story after story. I saw this damage the pummel industry, the persimmon industry, and the dragon fruit industry is so confused many buyers and growers don't want anything to do with the fruit!
You know I CALL this one 'Vintage' It was something o developed a long time ago but it required pollination so I didn't grow it but later I saw it gruited ahead of my others so I decided to grow some to test... I like it because it is vigorous but I hope someday to have others so I don't have to pollinate by hand.
