Here is some: He has an unexpectedly soft side to him, being patient and kind towards his comrades. Furthermore he has shown himself to be extremely kind towards children, especially Rudeus' children who are immune to his curse and thus don't fear or hate him. Orsted unexpectedly enjoyed the company of Rudeus's child, Lucy, giving her a shoulder ride when she was small and even taught her a trick to do magic when she had difficulties. The curse of being hated and feared by all living creatures does not apply to members of the ancient Dragon Race, Nanahoshi, Rudeus and Rudeus' descendants. Orsted often checks on Rudeus's family when Rudeus was out to make sure that they are safe. He is the 100th generation of the Dragon Gods.

Orsted doesn't have a curse that keeps him hidden from Hitogami it's instead a technique he uses to stay hidden but with the consequence of having slow mana regeneration. He only has 1 curse which is the one that makes all living things hate and fear him.

So to explain hitogami can only see all the mana flow in the world from the origin time line, so since orsted is in a time loop he can avoid the mana flow where he supposed to be in that time line, but the draw back is he absorb less mana because he is not in the right mana flow

In so many other LN or mangas Orsted would have been the main character. Which make the genius of Mushoku Tensei. This world feel real because it doesn't revolve around his protagonist, Rudeus. Rudeus is a part of a great story, but this story barely revolve around him, more around Orsted and the person responsible of the mana catastrophe and his reincarnation (I'm not saying too much to avoid spoilers).

the curse where hitogami can't see him isn't a curse. It's a technique he uses, which also is the reason his mana regenerates slowly. He could quit using the technique and regain his mana quickly anytime he wanted, but he obviously doesn't want to be seen by hitogami

Amazing video. There is so much I want to talk about Orsted but most is spoilers and theories about spoilers. I will say that one of the reasons his title is so respected is because of the Dragon God that helped defeat Laplace 400 years ago.

correction : its not almost 20.000 years , he just stip counting once it hits 20.000 years -orsted spend the 1st 10 years of the loops training his muscle , his skills however already at max - slow mana regen is not a curse , its side effect of the "loop" techniques also added from QnA : - in one of the loops orsted already fought hitogami in the barren world but lose - one of his loops he manage to fuse techniqe god and demon god ,and asking laplace the true story,goal etc - i dont think orsted consider ruijerd as an ally since he was not work with him in everyloops , but orsted did close with ruijerds daugther ( luicelia supardia ) ,ruijerd already dead at that time due to plague -if u read the lyrics of opening 5 , its basically telling us about orsted

Because of that hitogami is trying to kill rudues and his children. Why on the hell would he reincarnate the person whose children will help his arch-enemy to kill him. Especially when he can see the future ahead into centuries.It would'nt make sense. And also I have read all of wennovel and Ln upto vol15 .And I haven't heard of time time when paul said he lost his son.It orsted that told us.

Its not exactly that he fails. Spoilers . : : : : : : : : His goal is to kill Hitogami(Man God) but he exists in that pure white room dimension which is like the middle of the 6 faced cube world they live in. To get to him he must get some treasures that every Dragon King/Emperor has. One of them is The Demon God Laplace which is a part of a previous Dragon God but he split due to his Fight with Fighting God(rank 3). Rank 1 is his other part btw and Laplace is Rank 4 which goes to show how strong he was. Hitogami has an ability to see the future and even if he cannot see or predict what Orsted has done or will do he can see his own future which ends with him getting killed or imprisoned by Orsted so he guides certain people by appearing in their dreams and telling them random BS which bennefit them in the short run but might end up killing them. Some of these people are essential for Orsted to win in his cycles . So in the end he has to kill Laplace which has this last treasure. Thing is while he is strong enough to kill him himself he will expend almost all him mana and then be forced to fight Hitogami by himself while weakened. And thus he has lost so far. And also because of the curse he cannot make allies, he has to help from the shadows but with Rudeus now who is immune to his curse he can use him in his place like a "puppet" in a sense but he doesnt manipulate Rudeus in that kind of sense. Thats why hitogami told rudeus to go that way so he could meet Orsted and die in the process thus ridding Orsted of good ally. But he didnt so...

Well if he didn't fail then there wouldn't be a loop. In the end its a failure like when Orsted said himself he considers the loop/cycle a failure but rudeus helps him in the end. Dont worry I already read all the ln

@@ateidmon9835 Here is how he failed. He wanted to kill Hitogami but Hitogami can manipulate god ranks warriors, enough to weaken him. Plus, Hitogami is stronger than Orsted, the author said in a QA that :" Hitogami is stronger than each upper rank of the 7 Strongest". He also said that Orsted had faced Hitogami at least one time in the Void but he lost.

You could add a second part to that very last one He kills them like that because that's exactly how Hitogami killed his father. He probably found that out from Laplace's writings or because Laplace told him that's how it happened (in a blog post the author said in one loop Orsted managed to revive the original Laplace)

Spoilers, of course In order to kill man-god Orsted needs something from laplace, so he awaits his rebirth but since he is immortal he needed a superd, because their 3 eye can see laplace's weakness. But Orsted then find out that when laplace reborn he will be mortal, so no need to the superd's eye. But he became friends with ruijerd's daughter in the way

Hitogami is in a different realm. Reaching the realm requires Orsted to defeat Laplace’s reincarnation, and if Orsted fails to preserve enough mana before reaching Hitogami, Hitogami will be able to defeat him.

Same as others, and additionally Hitogami is one of the god of origins, which is ridiculously powerful. Orsted is strong as possible but it fundamentally has limitation as 2nd descendant from the God of origins. That is why He needs powerful allies to defeat Hitogami.

He failed because he has no allies at all. There's certain mechanism to get to where Hitogami is. And without alies, it's practically impossible since he runs out of time first before achieving that.

@hishenmathurin2844 if rudeus wasnt abused as a child in his first life he wouldnt have secluded himself and he was probably the smartest student he would have accomplished great things, now you can see this here in this story. Orsted is smart and powerful but rudeus might be a little more innovative thus creating all this new magics which orsted copies probably. Take like like Batman with Superman, Clark is smart but Bruce is smarter

@@Blackheart.735 Semi-true. He found out how to get there already, but the conditions to do so are hard, and require him to do battle with powerful foes (also plenty of time). That makes him use up his Mana and since he basically can't recover it - he's not prepared to fight hitogami after fulfilling the conditions. That's why he tries to carefully tailor history and all its randomness to direct it in a way that will not cost him much mana to fulfill the conditions. Hitogami always messes that up for him.

It takes a great amount of effort because he has the strength of a God and Orsted despite being far stronger needs as much strength as he can muster to defeat Hitogami who has the strength of 3-4 gods.

You think hitogami wouldn't know of laplace's full power? when the war was only 400 years ago and laplace was defeated. Also, hitogami has faced orsted in one of his resets so he has a clear picture of the power levels between the two
