Before people look at how the game is priced at 15 dollars for 2 versions, each with 2 characters, and think its some kind of BS attempt to make more money on this game, read this. The reason its being released like this is not to make more money on the game. The game was supposed to release last year at 30 dollars but was delayed to make into two 15 dollar versions. The reason for this is not anti-consumer, but rather pro-consumer. They’re giving customers who buy it digitally the choice to not pay for the full game if they dont want to play as all 4 characters. The physical version, which is releasing later on, is $50 plus bonus DLC that is being released later on. If you only want to play as a certain character, then you dont have to pay more for all of them. Both versions still allow for multiplayer with each other and contain the same content sans the other 2 characters.
...How? How can you just take all of my childhood nostalgia of the MMZ/MMZX games, mash it all up with fantasy elements and epic character designs, and present it to me in an epic, in-depth trailer? Are you TRYING to make me weep tears of joy?! BECAUSE IT'S WORKING!!!
I was extremely impressed with the gameplay which left me in awe, yet there was something eerily familiar about it as well as the art style. Then when it was revealed that Inti Creates was the one behind this, it all made sense. They were the ones behind the production of Mega Man ZX and its sequel ZX Advent. I love those games so much even to this day. Dragon Marked for Death is definitely a title I am getting since Inti Creates are the ones behind it.
The game is actually not much like Megaman zero aside from looks. It's more like 2d Monster Hunter. Seriously, so many of the mechanic's and even down to how the menus look is straight from Monster Hunter.
I remember hearing about this game a while ago and I think it took a long time to develop. I got this recommended randomly and thought it was a new game. Kind of surprising I never heard anything about it since it released.
@@moroseloki1912 Nope. I probably will never play it just because I am going in many other directions in terms of gaming. Right now I am focused on Wooden Ocean, Advance Wars and Street Fighter 6 to the extent where I expect it to be a year or two before I play Tears of the Kingdom.
It's more so the gameplay than the graphics that got me those ZX vibes. Either way, I am getting the physical version of this game. I loved the ZX series' gameplay.
... so it looks like... Megaman ZX... by way of Harmony of Despair's menu aesthetics and an Igavania world design... with the party roles and mob level tags of an MMO that is not actually an MMO, which is reeking of Crosscode, which itself has Megamanish vibes... and draws from both Seiken Densetsu and MapleStory, the latter of which this resembles... *clutches forehead in confusion* o_O Okay, that's a thing.
My opinions for the main characters: Empress:Best design for a female character. Warrior:Ok............So a dragon head became his armor and please give him a greatsword instead of an axe. Shinobi:I agree with the term "agile".the dragon wings on his legs fits him perfectly. Witch:Okay.....Her hat turns into a dragon. im fine with that and her size fits for a loli.
To all the people who don't get the pricing. This is a 30 dollar game but they decide to give people who don't care about all 4 characters to get the full geme with just the character that looks interesting to them +1 ;) P.S. Yhis is an amazing game, adictive AF, perfect controls, each character is totally unique feels and plays completely deferent. Only con no couch coop.
Finished the 2nd boss already playing solo witch. The gameplay is intense! Magic incantation is totally my thing. It's like action puzzle rpg lol. Thank you Inti creates!
Anyone playing this game? Got it physically about a year ago. Played it for 10 mins by myself before realizing its def a multiplayer game. Anyone down to do a run through together?
OH NO!!! I just saw something very VERY hideous! I looked in the mirror! OH NO!! But I am the best RU-vidr of this generation so it is all good! OH YESSS!!! Thanks for you attention dear wahjheed
They very obviously won't get in as actual full characters, but alternate skins/color palettes based on them are definitely in the realm of possibility, maybe DLC Weapons based on the divine weapons that the FE fates cast had could be a possibility too!
As soon as they mentioned a dragon whip, my thoughts immediately went to Castlevania, despite the fact that this has nothing to do with Castlevania. I think I've permanently associated whips with Castlevania now.
Check out Luminous Avenger iX coming out this month made by inti, Copen (the protagonist) has the best movement in any megaman like game and Gunvolt 2 was a very good game
This game reminds me of "mega man zero" S-Tier game back on game boy advance/SP days. Definitely buying this on sale. And how tf did I not know about this game until 3years later...
11 years ago: Dad: "Here you go son, a nice little Megaman game for your gameboy advance, no strings attached". Inti Creates: "Ah, another life-long consummer acquired".
If you are reading this coment. Which of the four dragons is your favorite, why and what name that you give them. Mine is the witch who I named Jururu, becauce I love to play as female, magic type and little kid characters in games if posible. And seeing how she's a mixture if the three, I decided I was going to main her. Plus she's pink. My favorite color. And I didn't care how dificult she was to use. I keep practicing until I mastered her.
This game looks pretty fun to play, but I was surprised to find that it is a Switch game and not a 3DS game. Visually, it looks like it could run on the 3DS.
Hmmm. May have to check this game out. All I have on my Nintendo Switch atm is Smash Ultimate (of course), Mario Kart Deluxe and Mario Party. I thought about Pokemon Lets Go Eevee and Mario Tennis Aces but I'll check those out later. My moneys a little tight right now so this low priced game will have to do for now to add to the collection.
