So unfortunately definitely not happening on the switch because of the fact that they're focusing on the Dragon Quest 1-3 remakes... BUT there's no reason it shouldn't end up happening on the switch successor realistically :)

@@lali_kay ikr apparently there recently was a livestream by the devs in honor of the games aniversery and they teased that there might be a remake and that, should they in fact do it, it wouldnt even take that long since the sourcecode is still there, they could have a port done in a few weeks and a full remake with added content and all within about a year from deciding do so.
i have played dq9 in french and i just discovered that in english the game use "coup de grâce" too, i was thinking it was only on the french version of the game

Well I have never seen the co-op de graces before. This could have come out on the 3ds and the SP would have magnified playing with others as well as the online co-op.
Yes, here’s what I found The Critical Fan family of weapons will increase the CDG chance: Critical Fan : +6% Coup-de-Grace Overcritical Fan : +7% Coup-de-Grace Hypercritical Fan : +8% Coup-de-Grace Dire critical Fan : +10% Coup-de-Grace The Combat Action Medal (from revocating an Armamentalist) is +3% CDG. Martial Artists, Rangers, and Luminaries have a 3% bonus, but we aren't using them to fight Legacy Bosses so that's not very useful. Another way to increase the Coup De Grace rate is to have other people in your party sitting with an active Coup-de-Grace: 1 Member Ready: +0.8% 2 Members Ready: +10.0% 3 Members Ready: +36.0% The more damage you take from a single attack, the more chance you have of getting a CDG too. This was taken from the legacy boss guide by The Mystical One
Oh.. So I downloaded x432r, it works but I for some reason I can't play with my save from the other DesMuMe ... :'( So annoying according to the time I spend playing with my original save >_
Try the Export Save feature from the first Desmume and try to import that save into the x432r. Mess around a little with save types while importing, try all the options.
